Developer Holmes 6511 Posted September 29, 2020 Developer Share Posted September 29, 2020 Friends! We’re glad that the new classes have interested you so much that many of you immediately started to develop new characters. Because of that, we want to present you a short guide that describes what the Templar and the Chieftain are capable of, what to pay special attention to in development and plans for future improvement of these classes. Let’s go! Templar Templar in PvP The Templar is a hybrid class that can use both heavy armour and cloth, which, in addition to using either a staff or a mace and shield, allows to boost either magical or physical potential of the class. Staffs. Grants use of magical staffs. One-handed Mace. Grants use of one-handed mace. Shield. Grants use of shields. Physical and magic resistance increased by 15% while you having a shield put on. Cloth Armor. Grants use of cloth armor. Heavy Armor. Grants use of heavy armor. Usefulness of physical and magical skills of this class is spread evenly, but for different situations. In PvP battles, it is most effective to give preference to control skills. Given their incredible potential in mass battles given the skill “Blame” in combination with “Touch of Truth” and “Sucker Punch” the Templar will feel fine in battles against 1 or 2 opponents as well as arena battles, for example. Thus, if you plan to use the Templar primarily for PvP, you should keep in mind developing these skills: Blame (active) Magical attack that causes increased damage to the enemy. Applies a negative effect "Stun" to the enemy for some time if he has the effect of the Touch of Truth skill. Сlarification: The skill has a radius of 4 whole yards, and with the combination that allows to stun the opponent for prolonged time, this makes it a prime candidate for development. Reverse Flow (active) Creates a vortex zone in the specified area for some time. Every second, the zone throws all enemies in it a few yards away from the edge of the zone and puts a "Stun" negative effect on them for some time. Enemies can't move or use skills, and damage to them doesn't remove the effect. Сlarification: The skill is incredibly effective for controlling opponents. You can choose with what goal to use it: to separate some opponents from the frontline, to prevent opponents from reaching allies, saving them, or instead to block the enemy from escaping. And thanks to the passive skill “Harad's Teachings” it will allow restoring health almost every second. Grace (active) Increases the physical and magical power of the character for a while. Сlarification: More magical and physical power — more damage and healing. Touch of Truth (active) Creates a suppression zone around the character that expands over time. After reaching the maximum size, the zone disappears and blocks the ability to use skills for all enemies who are in it for some time. Сlarification: Another powerful crowd control skill. Combining it with “ Blame” allows to use it effectively even in singular combat. Remember that the enemy can move out of the way of the charging skill, so only use it when you’re sure it will work. Mantra of Healing (active) Applies a "Divine mantra" positive effect on the character for some time. The character can not be attacked, and at the same they can not auto-attack, use skills or items, and their movement speed decreases. Additionally, the effect restores a certain percentage of the character's maximum health per second. Сlarification: This skill has a wide spectrum of use. It will be useful for escaping serious danger from the opponent or on the contrary, to start an offensive and move inside the enemy ranks to make use of your other skills. Sucker Punch (active) The attack that deals physical damage to an enemy, moves them a few yards behind the character's back, and applies a negative "Stun" effect on him for some time. Сlarification: The skill is good not only due to its lengthy stun, but also due to the ability to change enemy position, making focusing the target easier. Also you shouldn’t forget about survivability in PvP — this is one of the most important aspects in battles with other players. The ability to use a shield will be great for that. The other equipment you can choose according to your playstyle and for the game situations that you are planning to use your character in. You also have maces with the main parameter of physical or magical attacks, as well as hybrid variants. Your main goal will be finding the happy medium that will make the character comfortable to play Templar in PvE In PvE, using the Templar will appeal to support class lovers, because this class specialization is best developed for that direction. Your main goal will be helping allies in healing and absorbing damage, as well as affecting enemies with control skills. If you don’t know which skills you should pay attention to, here’s the list: Blame (active) Magical attack that causes increased damage to the enemy. Applies a negative effect "Stun" to the enemy for some time if he has the effect of the Touch of Truth skill. Сlarification: Supporting is good and all, but dealing damage is also an important aspect. Grace (active) Increases the physical and magical power of the character for a while. Сlarification: More magical and physical power — more damage and healing. Combat Support (active) Applies a positive "Sun Barrier" effect on the character or moves the character to an ally and buffs them with the positive effect for some time. The effect absorbs any incoming damage. Сlarification: A great support skill, with which you can not only reduce damage upon yourself and an ally, but also to quickly move around the battlefield, which will help you to realize your potential. Сlarification: Using the skill can be wonderfully combined with the passive skill “Harad’s Teachings”, that will help you heal yourself and allies, as well as controlling monsters. Harad's Teachings (passive) Each time an enemy is stunned, the “Baptism of Fire” positive effect is applied to the character for some time. The effect instantly restores health of the character and the group member with the lowest amount of health, depending on the character's magic power within a few yards of him, and also deals additional physical damage to the enemy on the next auto-attack. Сlarification: Thanks to smart targeting, it will help healing the most damaged allies and the character themselves. Deity Statue (active) Puts a statue in the specified area for some time. The statue takes some of the damage from auto-attacks on friendly players within a few yards of itself. Сlarification: One of the most effective and useful skills for battling monsters, it can absorb a significant damage from all members of the group. In terms of equipment we would like to recommend evaluating the option with maximizing magical damage of the character, namely — a staff, because in the PvE battles damage is meant to be received by a tank, not the support, so a shield will not be useful. This decision will allow us to increase the effectiveness of the “Harad’s Teachings” skill and significantly improve the “Skill cooldown” skill, which will let us use our support skills more often. But of course, this is not the only option. Supporting allies is very important, but dealing damage cannot be left in the dust even for support classes, as this directly influences the speed of completing PvE content. In this case a hybrid of physical and magical power will suit you best, allowing to deal damage with the skills “Whirlwind of Repentance” and “Harad’s Teachings”. And of course you shouldn’t forget that the passive skill will trigger off the “Stun” parameter, the high chance of which can be acquired by wearing the appropriate gear. We will pay close attention to Templars and analyze your feedback about them, but for now we would like to share the plans for some of the expert skills that we would like to add in the future. The variation of Templar builds with the staff is currently lagging behind the “Shield+Mace” build in a variety of ways, so you can count on the addition of a strong magical skill. We also want to develop the variability of combinations for the “Harad’s Teachings” passive skill, and a skill with constant energy consumption and effects that influence the effectiveness of stuns and blocks will help that greatly. Chieftain Chieftain in PvP Right off the bat, the Chieftain proclaims: I can deal a lot of damage! And it is indeed so, this class does have a large number of skills that affect enemies in an area, including those that deal significant damage, and also buffs for attacking parameters. Almost all of that damage is magical, but it is not an issue, since the Chieftain can wear cloth armor, maces and spears, which lets them significantly boost magical power, while light armour allows getting many attacking parameters. Spears. Grants use to spears. Two-handed Mace. Grants use to two-handed maces. One-handed Mace. Grants use to one-handed maces. Dual Wield Specialization. Allows the character to wield two one-handed weapones. This decreases the phisical damage caused by the offhand weapon by 40%. Cloth Armor. Grants use of cloth armor. Lightweight Armor. Grants use of light armor. Even though the class has many unpleasant debuffs, the deficit of control skills will still be felt, this is why we’ve compensated it with great survivability, mobility and, as was mentioned before — damage. These are the parameters to count on in battles with other players. What can be said about skills? Eagle Eye (active) Applies a positive attacking effect "Eagle Eye" to the character for some time. The effect deals periodic magical damage to all enemies within one yard. Additionally applies the “Bleeding” negative effect for some time upon a critical hit with the skill. The opponent takes periodic physical damage and multiple effects can be applied to the same opponent. Сlarification: As was already said, dealing damage is our strong suit, so the most effective base skill for that is definitely worth developing. Bear's Stamina (active) Instantly regains the character’s health depending on the magical power of the character and additionally a percentage of missing health. Сlarification: Due to the low cooldown and dependance on max hp, this skill will help you increase survivability many times over. Wolf's Alacrity (active) Applies a positive effect “Wolf’s Alacrity” on the character for some time. The effect increases movement speed of the character. The next successful autoattack the effect deals physical damage to the enemy and reduces their movement speed for some time. The effect then vanishes from the character. Сlarification: It will not be easy to escape such a Chieftain, much less catch up. In the right hands, the increased movement speed will allow you to employ new battle tactics. Thrashing (active) Roots in place all enemies in the specified area and reduces attack speed and physical and magical power of enemies for some time. Сlarification: Since most of our damage is delayed, it is very important not to let our opponent evade us and escape their fate. “Thrashing” will do that just fine. Curse of the Plague (active) Sends a monster to the specified area. The monster deals periodic magical damage to all enemies within one yard of itself and at the end of the path, then it disappears. Additionally applies a negative effect “Curse of the Plague” with a certain chance for some time. The effect reduces the Accuracy parameter and the opponent’s cooldown speed. Сlarification: Nobody will want to stay a long time under the influence of this skill, so the enemy will try to move away from it, which you can use to your benefit — cutting off a specific direction of the battlefield or forcing enemies to change their placement instead of active combat. Swooping Army (active) Creates an attacking area for a certain time. The area deals periodic magical damage to all enemies in it and reduces the “Dodge” parameter for all enemies. Сlarification: A similar situation happens with the “Swooping Army”. The skill will be great at slowing enemies down and also for making them flee from a dangerous zone, because the skill’s damage is quite significant. Rugged Hide (active) Applies a “Rugged Hide” positive effect to the character for some time. The effect reduces any incoming damage based on the missing health of the character. Сlarification: In combination with the Bear’s Stamina skill, Rugged Hide allows surviving the effect of the most dangerous skills of opponents and restore even more health than your character loses. Thanks to this feature, quickly killing a Chieftain becomes very difficult, that allows them the prolonged time necessary to realize their damage. Clans' Help (passive) Every time upon using the skills of certain clans, the character receives a buff, and when three buffs are accumulated, the character receives the “Clans’ Help” positive effect for some time. Clans of the Wolf and Rat — the effect increases the Dodge parameter of the character. Clans of the Eagle and Puma — the effect increases he Critical Hit parameter of the character. Clans of the Bear and Boar — the effect increases the physical and magical defense of the character. Сlarification: This passive skill of the Chieftain will help increase the build variety. This way, for example, between the “Curse of the Plague” and one of the effects of the “Clans’ Help”, you can attain a great increase in Dodge. Equipment choice would not be very difficult, as our first priority will be increasing magical damage and maximizing the amount of hp with all necessary defensive and aggressive parameters for PvP. Chieftain in PvE In PvE the Chieftain is also quite well-off. The Legion alliance needed AoE damage and with all the bonuses to attacking parameters from skills, the Chieftain really deserves to fill that niche. The most effective will be the following skills: Blow of the Spirits (active) Magical attack dealing increased damage to the enemy. Сlarification: Having a couple points to spare, you can put them into the “Blow of the Spirits”, increasing the damage potential to single targets. Сlarification: Capability of restoring health can be useful in the PvE segment of the game as well, in the way that the healing classes will not have to worry about your survival and can pay more attention to those that really needs it. Сlarification: The first expert skill that excellently fulfills its task of dealing significant damage in an area. Swooping Army (active) Creates an attacking area for a certain time. The area deals periodic magical damage to all enemies in it and reduces the “Dodge” parameter for all enemies. Сlarification: The second expert skill thanks to which our damage potential is indeed significant. Cat Reflexes (active) Increases the “Accuracy” and “Critical Hit” parameters of the character for the duration of the skill. Additionally increases the “Accuracy” parameter of the character for a certain time after an enemy dodges any attack. Skill with a constant energy drain. Сlarification: When developing this skill, it is advised not to forget abount the amount of energy that will need to be restored for a maximally effective use of the class. The choice of equipment should not be taken lightly, because at the highest levels you can easily exceed the cap of some parameters due to the class skills. The most optimal choice will be weapons with the main parameter “Magical power”, cloth torso, arms, and belt, as well as accessories with magical power. The rest of the items should be chosen individually, in accordance to the lacking areas you’d like to cover in your build. The Chieftain will not be left without attention either, and soon we plan to increase the potential of the physical “side” of the class, giving them a movement skill with stun in an area, as well as a defensive skill with resistance, which will help you best realize the class’ potential in the PvP portion of the game and will help them best apply their damage. Don’t forget to suggest your builds and share your experience with playing the new classes. Also feel free to ask questions in the corresponding forum topics. New classes are always difficult, so do help each other out. That’s it for now! Happy leveling and good luck! Sigma 363
@Holmeswell if you really intend to add a skill with constant mana consumption to the Templar then reduce the mana needed to activate a skill as the templar’s skills are already a real mana glutton. PureSix 42
Hello Everyone I think the class has potential, and I believe that as skills progress and more, players will get to know and appreciate them better. The amount of damage dealt by Chieftain is impressive, they are virtually uninterrupted injured with a large initial burst thanks to Wolf's aclarity skill. See for yourself, maybe a bit on a smaller scale because only level 20 with +1 equipment, but it can always be a bit of an illustration of the class's. 20k damage in less than a minute at this level and this character development, sounds good. Jose Respaldo 0
The Templar needs urgent help when the real problem is at low levels. It's useless when you're under level 18, think about it reliance on hybrid attitudes is necessary for the development of core skills They can't be happy knowing that the "combat support" ability becomes useless with a cane or that it's really hard even difficult to complete missions without the help of minions... If this goes on, they won't be able to see any Templars winning a gladiator arena in levels under 18 I repeat the message "Individuality is needed for the Templar"

PureSix 42
It's also worth taking a closer look at the chieftain mana. It is a class similar to a mage in many aspects, it is not difficult to find a lot of analogies. Also the chieftain suffers from the same problem as the mage, high mana consumption, no mana = no damage = useless. It would be worth adding a skill similar to the mage's skill which provides mana when using skills / dealing damage. Pauldragon 4
Sure af, arena rewards are meant for pve as well. Maybe they'll add creeps in next arena update so it'll be pve as well. Khrone
