Speedom reacted to Jollier in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsOr just turn it like this ...
But hes just skipping everything under the veil "i dont understand" "need to compete" etc. While in the end, its all about sustaining monopoly
-
Speedom reacted to Jollier in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsAtleast if it were changed to the chest-type reward system. People will get their chances instead of just one guild monopolizing it. Seems fair to me. Ngl

Speedom reacted to Higgings in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsI'm starting to understand where the bias lies. EU-Emerald is not a common scenario, but it "became so" due to a severe lack of motivation of the other faction. Elf side has been so much into raid bosses to have literally obliterated the true meaning of competition, which normally - at least in this game - is made against the opposite faction and not the same one. Raid bosses were meant to be something like PvPvE, at least that was the primordial design devs had. EU-Emerald's competition is in the verge of death, kept alive by the only ones who actively farm those bosses, which is elf side. Your vision of competition is against your own faction, thus why you're reluctant about the idea to reward everyone who joined the hunt. Mine was created on the idea of MCs fighting against Elves, in a war-alike reward system if you will (that outdated as well but it's not the right section to talk about it). Raids are placed in a non neutral area for this very reason. You were supposed to fight both the boss and the enemy faction simultaneously and not obtain broken books with the ease one opens a chest
About guild raids. You don't have a scenario where you get the best possible prize with people being afk or it's very unlikely for that to happen (not mentioning the final chest one gets by the end of the week, of course). People who afk during these events usually stick to a lower prize and it's a form of reward already existing in the game. All I'm suggesting is expanding this kind of system to raid bosses. Given that my first statement is correct, I realise why it is impossible from your point of view to extend such system to raid bosses. I Disagree with it, but I understand it as well.
The only way to have a decent form of competition in EU is embracing the distopic and surely temporary vision in which elf side is banned from raids, but we both agree that it's righteously unfair to do. On the other hand, MC side has reached a point where the only way to compete on Raid Bosses is to give people a reason to be there for. Until then, you'll always be against this idea, because it means rewarding the enemies in your own faction that put zero effort in a raid boss you fought for.
Look, I don't know if this is even possible to achieve, but an idea of reward coding could follow something like:
#Scenario 1: If Mc vs Elves => Winner side gets the reward
#Scenario 2: If same side vs same side => Winner guild = Bigger damage dealt => Reward granted to every winning guild member
I've got no idea of how to program stuff, forgive my ignorance, but that could work I suppose.

Speedom reacted to Higgings in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsYou know, it could be the other way around too: why only a party of 5 should get drops while everybody else who put actual effort get nothing?
-
Speedom reacted to Higgings in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsI believe this can be prevented easily from happening. You might set a level requirement or make sure you're in battle status... I don't know. I am not speaking of a Nocturna/Rottung alike event; it remains a raid boss.
One might also say that a lv3 dropping Magic Resistence could sound quite strange in a raid... this might lead to an inspection as happened in the past.
About this: a suggestion that comes to my mind is turning these reputation-granted capabilities into actual skills, so that you can upgrade them once and for all: this would encourage the usage of mermen repu to upgrade your talent tree further
I see myself not leveling the talent tree for the same reason tbh... Moving fast underwater is far too handy to trade it for some resistence against statuses.

Speedom got a reaction from Higgings in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsThe competition is still there, the fairness isn't. It's a one sided showcase. Been like this for years.
-
Speedom got a reaction from Jollier in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsI agree 100%. Fairness.
Definitely on the same page with you. Many players, especially to those who just started the underwater quest suffer from this. This drastically slows progress. Makes people quit the main quest.
-
Speedom reacted to Higgings in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsThis would make only damagers get the drop. You won't sort the problem you're describing and I disagree on making the boss area neutral. Instead, I would make of it an activable event so that everyone who actually participated in the hunt has got a chance to get the best item the boss drops, with a chest for example. A bit like what we currently have with guild raids.

Speedom reacted to Salazam in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsIn addition to that, spending my reputation to upgrade talents should not remove my maximum oxygen limit or reduce my character's movement speed in water. This limitation greatly hinders players who want to improve their talents, and it causes many people to leave their talent trees incomplete simply to keep the movement speed bonus.

Speedom got a reaction from Salazam in Mermen Reputation Permanently & Boss RaidsThe game has a huge disadvantage when it comes to the mermen event and boss raids
Mermen:
Winner can spam the dungeon and hope to get powerful gear. I suggest to remove the 5k cost to go to the dungeon, and just make it where you need the maximum rep to go. Just like how map 5 has it where your earned rep spent doesn't cost to be able to go into the dungeon. It should be the same with mermen.
The gear is worth millions of gold, but it's even worse to those who's on the losing side all the time which makes the price double to triple. In addition, it puts the grind off balance when it comes to fairness for those who actually love their favorite character, but on the losing side.
Boss Raids:
This have to change. What's the point having the event on the list that can be activated, if it's always a one sided faction who automatically win it withing seconds. Therefore, the raids are a bit too easy.
Suggestion, make it where the area of the boss is a neutral area, and once the event is active, an entrance portal spawn.
This can give everyone a chance for participation. In addition, allowing other guild within the same faction to unite and slay the boss as a team.
Conclusion:
The whole idea is to give the game a chance to grow again. To bring in new players and having them wanting to stay. The game is always one sided, and it's old. This will 100% guarantee give everyone a chance to not only get rewards, but to feel the worth of grinding for it.

Speedom reacted to Sunraizu in

Speedom reacted to Jollier in World Bossesi agree this needs change. and the players that are part of that guild which obeyed that rules, deffended it. also speaks volume.
-
Speedom reacted to Aateo in World BossesI recommend a change to the distribution of rewards obtained from world bosses, such as Orcinus, Octopus, and Black Elm. As the name suggests, it's a world boss, and all players present in the area should receive the reward, not just the group that deals the most damage. In this case, the alliance that deals the most damage should have a chance to receive a drop for everyone. In many cases, bosses are monopolized by the most powerful alliances, and only the killing party gets the drop. So, for example, if the Sentinel and Legion alliances are fighting the boss, the alliance that deals the most damage should have a drop for everyone in that alliance present. This is the fairest and most correct way to refer to it as a GLOBAL BOSS.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I also appreciate the work that went into Update 13.2, but I understand the concern here.
AoE-focused classes like Mage and Warlock have always played a big role in PvE farming and dungeon runs. Limiting monster targets to 10 does feel like it reduces the effectiveness of those classes, especially since their builds and skills are designed around handling large groups. When that strength is restricted, it can make PvE gameplay feel less rewarding for players who invested in those classes.
Balancing PvP is important, of course, but PvE and PvP often need different approaches. Keeping stricter limits for PvP while allowing higher or unlimited targets in PvE could help maintain class identity without breaking competitive balance.
That said, some of the new mechanics, like Spirit Steal, are interesting additions. Hopefully future tweaks can keep those improvements while also making AoE classes feel strong again in PvE content.
Let’s hope the devs continue adjusting things based on player feedback.

Look how many years it took for them to change this lmao
I made suggestion similar to those a long time ago, lol
What happened, dev change?
But cool anyways. I don't play the game anymore, but seeing that you guys realized this class scaled into a minion that could cheese 1v1 well, and therefore "stronk", is nice.
I'm really just keeping up with the news about WS, 'cause I dream one day there's gonna be a reset, like WoW did

Speedom reacted to vavavi in Cooldown CalculationsSkill base cooldown/(1+your cd), where 1% cd=0.01.
So for example a 30 sec cd skill with 130% cd would be: 30sec/1+1.3=13 sec.
100% cd halves your cd, 200% makes it 1/3 of the original

Speedom reacted to vavavi in Cooldown Calculations45/2.15 so 20.9.

Hmm 🗿 well First of all 🗿 thank you for the hard work on Update 13.2. However, as a long-time PvE-focused player who plays multiple classes like Mage, Warlock, Seeker, Chieftain, and Charmer 🗿I would like to express my deep concern regarding the new Monster target limit changed: 10
Classes like Mage or Warlock 🗿. are designed for AoE. Limiting their primary strength feels like a heavy nerf to their core identity (like mage with pyromancy or lock with two faded taint or occult incantation etc 🫠 🗿) in PvE content give warlock more area demage. Anyway i like the concept spirit steal
Please make unlimited again or give more limit to monster deeevv 🗿 ITS oke if want to limit for PVP anyway 🗿

Speedom got a reaction from Paineater in Book farmed by a single player using multi alts/botsHonestly, we need farmers like that. I need one more mm fatal and I can't find a seller. Need them to farm dg like that. I'm just saying. Gears in market are low. Aye bots, go farm mm like this if possible.

Speedom reacted to Kyeran in [2025.12.17] Server Maintenance – Welcome to Update 13.2. Tales of Feastwood!Because they look at the macro, not the micro. The micro would be you asking for nerfs to classes that aren’t yours and buffs to your own class.
Besides that, you need to understand that it has always been said this is a group vs group game, like most MMORPGs — and that shouldn’t even need to be said, since it’s impossible to balance 20 classes around 1v1.
They don’t have a class, they are impartial, and there are several of them. But sure, maybe your judgment is fairer than theirs (yes, that contains irony).

Stop writing with ChatGPT and use your own ideas
Can we have also non critical hits/skills to work here? This way this would be useful in pvp as well or vs mobs in sand areas where you barely crit. Thank you!
