Heya guys,

 

Warspear Online has been my childhood and today i logged back on after so many years. Looking back I feel so emotional and nostalgic. It's sad that most people have moved on with their lives (me included). I wish I could relive some of those moments again, both good and bad. It's just very emotional.

 

I miss all the fun I had both in game and on the forums.

honorable mentions of people who made my childhood (not limited to):

and a lot of people who's names i've forgotten but I would die to meet them again.

 

PS: I'm sad to hear that r0land has left (i did some digging) since we shared a unique relationship and I skyrocketed to infamy.

 

I just wish that anyone who played and knew me from that period of time (hard to not notice me due to my hyperactiveness) might come back and see this message (or maybe from Google).

so that I may meet these wonderful people once again. I'll probably log onto this forum account every bluemoon hoping to read any message that someone wants to leave me.

Why all of this you may ask? well, I started WS when I was 11 and hence this game was literally my childhood and now that I'm 20 (time of writing), looking back makes me want to reflect on that.

 

While warspear may have had its downsides, it's been a wonderful game for me and literally made my childhood! I hope all these wonderful people are doing well in life.

I Did try to keep in contact with Ladygi via steam, but she kinda moved on with her life. Last i heard, she was doing well.

 

Tis the thing about mmo's. You create memories, friends, and people move on. Some sooner or later than others. This game has a lot of historical nostalgia for me also, as i played in the early days of its life for over 6 years. I Would love to come back one day, but i sense the things that made me leave, will never change or return.

 

Hope you are doing well in life buddy, and also for the future.

Hey, just saw this post. Started during halloween 2012 and I quit a while back since the game has just become too bad. I haven't really looked back and just kinda forgot that this place exists, despite me spamming the place back in 2015.

Based on your post you played on US-Sapphire during its goldwn days. Pvprange banter was fantastic. Shame he sold his guild but it's alright.

Well I'm just not gonna spam the forum anymore, I was one of the few people who kept the International forum alive. I have moved on, there are way, and I mean way better games out there that I enjoy a lot more.

The game market is very rich now, way richer compared to 2011, so I dont think too many new players would be interested in playing a mmorpg with this many pay2win elements

I dont know, the core system of amplification seems terrible to me, youre pretty much gambling with signs which are only sourced for real money and the better gear you want to more you have to gamble, thats pretty bad

You can get signs from minis and daily chests. I think you can also get them from dungeons

You´re not seriously trying to make this argument, right? 99,99999% of signs come from the shop, you need hundreds or thousands of them to fully upgrade a single weapon. I got like 3 signs from a daily chest in total in my whole Warspear career.

Most people who sell signs buy them from the store but almost everyone buys them from those who spend money

Yes, so we do the hard maths, 1+1=2, without people spending money you can´t reach the endgoal of the game which is getting the best possible gear for your character. If only what you said was true, bosses and dungeons dropping signs, maybe with the slightly higher rarity than damage spheres, the game would be so much better, but sadly thats not the case because that would destroy the income generated by the game. All the success you can see in the game has money behind it. It´s like a big casino.

I got a sign exactly once in years of playing and thousands if chests opened. This argument just doesn't work, speaking from experience. Warspear is much, much more p2w/freemiun than other mmo's.

 

An elegant solution I have seen is SWTOR's model: pay once, get access to uhhh.... Everything.

Yeah but one time payments would generate way less money than a continuous stream of sign purchases, stanimas, chests with best in slot runes and all that stuff so that is never gonna happen, which is what makes me sad since the game has a special place in gaming heart.

Too bad I never really got to experience those days. I never left the level 10 but I did experience everything from 2015 onwards and I'm thankful as I met my friends from then on
