Administrators Shimarin 128 Posted April 10 Administrators Share Posted April 10 Warriors! With the annual blossoming of spring, the School of Magic opens its doors to reveal the arcane secrets of extraordinary disciplines – from Moon, Sun, Astral, and Dark Magic, to the radiant arts of Light and Reflection. The best students make the finest warriors – so we’re excited to announce the annual Wisdom Mystery contest! Ever wanted to share a sneaky boss battle strategy? Light the way for rookie warriors? Or maybe you’ve been itching to create a grand guide for your favorite character class? Now is your chance, and we’ve got some great prizes in store for your hard-earned insights! What to Do? Write a guide on a subject where you’re the absolute expert! We’re looking for timeless topics and steering clear of the more fleeting event content – and we’re eagerly awaiting entries in the following categories: a) Class Guides. Sharing your insights helps build a more robust and savvy community, ready to tackle any challenge that comes their way. Make sure your Class Guides include: - Introduction: Detail the key features of the class, what makes it shine, and where it might struggle. - Newbie Tips: Offer advice on starting steps, equipment, and minions. - PvE & PvP: Share your winning strategies for skills and equipment choices to excel against monsters and players alike, complete with ally tips and tactics for various combat scenarios. - Consumables: List out the handy scrolls, potions, and food to give you an edge in combat. b) Beginner Guides. Your guide could be the beacon for newbies, helping them avoid rookie mistakes: - Gameplay & UI Basics: Explain how to interact with NPCs, travel between locations, and more. - Class Overview: Explore the key traits of each class without getting into the intricate details of leveling and gearing. - Tour of Arinar: Introduce each island with its unique features to give new players a clear travel guide. - Bag Management: Offer tips on how to grow your Bag, evaluate items, and where to sell them. - Economy Explained: Advice on earning Gold and spending wisely to avoid wasteful expenses. - Guild Guide: Explain how to create or join a Guild, and provide some insight into Guild activities and their benefits. c) Advanced Guides. Your vast knowledge and experience can shed light on Almahad’s darkest secrets, handing the keys to new achievements and discoveries over to the experienced players. Seize this opportunity to share your strategic wisdom and battle-hardened advice on: - Storyline quests of Er-Sahil, Assassin’s, and Adventurer’s Guilds; - Daily and dynamic quests; - Tombs and Outposts; - Every level of the Ancient God’s Temple; - Every stage of In Search of Almonomicon; - Strategies against the monsters and bosses that lurk throughout Almahad. d) Other Insights. If your expertise doesn’t quite fit the categories listed, you’re still welcome to enlighten the world with your wisdom! What’s New? This year, we’re making important changes to add more excitement to the contest: 1. Word Count Rule: All guides are now limited to 500 words to make them easier to digest. We believe that brevity is not only the soul of wit, but also the efficient exchange of knowledge. Concise guides mean readers can get to the point they need quickly, and authors can share their insights more clearly! While Class Guides are exempt from this word limit, we do encourage you to keep them short and to the point. 2. Multiple Entries Allowed: We’ve removed the one-entry-per-person rule. Feel free to go into depth on any topic you wish, and break larger guides into smaller, more detailed ones. What Are We Looking For? Depth of Knowledge. As mentioned earlier, it’s crucial to have and display a deep understanding of your class by sharing detailed, insightful material. Brevity. Avoid cluttering your guide with common in-game facts, such as a complete relic list. Clarity. Make sure your guide makes sense to everyone, regardless of age or gaming experience – and expertise. Visual Appeal. Your guide needs to look good, too. Think clear formatting, smart headings, well-organized sections, and visuals like images, gifs, or screenshots to make your guide stand out! Be sure to review and comment on others’ guides – we all thrive on support and sound feedback. And remember, you can tweak and polish your entry at any time during the contest! What’s Not Allowed? Use any content that violates the License Agreement or Forum Rules; Post false information to mislead other players; Plagiarize and copy existing guides. To submit your guide, go to THIS section, choose the appropriate category, and create a topic titled [Your character’s nickname and server]. Entries close on May 6 at 09:00 CEST. Our judges will announce the winners by May 18, and we’ll share the results with you right away! Rewards: First Place: 20,000 Miracle Coin and your choice of 1 non-class Skill Book (except for: Magic Resistance, Magic Extension, Controlled Humility) + unique Gold Forum Badge; Second Place: 15,000 Miracle Coin and your choice of 2 different pieces of Blissful Isle equipment (Weapons, Armor, or Accessories) + unique Silver Forum Badge; Third Place:10,000 Miracle Coin and your choice of 1 piece of Blissful Isle equipment (Weapon, Armor, or Accessory) + unique Bronze Forum Badge. Once the contest is over, we’ll move all the entries to the appropriate Forum sections and pin the most outstanding ones! May wisdom be with you! But 500 words is nothing, it's gonna be interesting. Good thing I already got my 9k+ word Pala guide out of the way with a win. Multiple entries is a cool compromise though, already brainstorming a lot of good stuff... Is there a limit on how many entries per person? Jaan 130
next time, when you want us to do a guide with 500 word limit, please increase the Max total size. 64 mb is way too low.
