passive weapon skill

The sudden doom weapons are the most powerful on this game. I think they should have a passive skill that is not affected by dodge or block and has the ability to slow the opents dps and movement speed. (something like poison or mini stun)

Any other ideas?

Passive skill for melee class is better.

hmm you mean some skill on the weapons?

example

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Evasion

Effect: Adds 4% dodge

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Deadliness

Effect: Adds 4% Critical

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Accuracy

Effect: Adds 4% Accuracy

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Astral

Effect: Adds 30 points astral

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Moon

Effect: Adds 30 points moon

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Sun

Effect: Adds 30 points sun

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Darkness

Effect: Adds 30 points darkness

 

 

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Poison

Effect: gives poison damage for 7 sec

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Confusion

Effect: Makes the enemy run in random location for 5sec

 

 

Name of Weapon: Staff

Name of Skill: Spell of Bleeding

Effect: Makes the enemy bleed for 5 sec

 

 

those are only example , you can add idea for other weapons..

 

 

In mmorpg when we said Passive it means non-active skill which only added bonus to your stats or give some negative effects to your enemy, correct me if I am wrong...

yes something like that. same mechanics for sword, dagger, twohanded sword, axe, twohanded axe, mace, twohanded mace, spear, bow and crossbow. but no way "Name of of Weapon Staff: Name ofl Skill: Spell of Confusion Effect:Makes the enemy run in random location for 5sec" it would realy ruin the game. imagine everyone run like chicken in war... xD

My idea is adding skill points to them, and that increases damage with auto-attacks.

Or make them active skills which then give extra damage

add skill points on the weapons? how could that work?

the skill should be passive (allways active) so it will not affect by opents block/dodge %.

and sange you suggest to add one more critical? or a chance to do bonus dmg?

No, I suggested to add a Proc.

It's something like an extra attack you get that happens randomly each time you attack.

For example, I am using Rondels of sudden doom, I have a 50% chance to deal a special Fire attack to the enemy which will deal 30% of my maximum attack and it has a 5 second cooldown.

 

 

It's the same thing like Ranger's blessing except lower damage, or ever more definable, DK's Exahalation except it has no stun and it will happen randomly and it's cooldown is 5 seconds and ofcourse it only happens if you are using a Sudden Doom weapon.

I like the idea of passive skills, though I think I would rather see it linked to the character and not the weapon itself, perhaps we will see something like this when class specialization is re-introduced.

Maybe like a "counterattack" passive skill. Every weapon gets a 1%-5% chance to counterattack after they dodge or parry. And the counterattack hit % is equivalent to that dodge or parry. So if your parry is at 20%, then your counterattack will hit at 20% of your attack, and same for dodge %.

Agree'd. You have to expect yet higher lvl weapons to be introduced sooner or later.

Just maybe the next weapon to come would be a cheap imitation of doom. Then some form of lvl19 and 20.

definteily, admins once said in forums they were planning to increase lvl cap to 50 in the future. so yeah, expect more items to be released :good:

how about nake somethink like an ultimate attack

and it has it own bar like the MP bar when full you can use it and lets say it has 800 points

if you recieve a dmg 10% of it will encrease your ultimate skill bar if u deal dmg 5% of it will encrease your ultimate skill bar if u use mana for skills 10% of the mana used encrease your ultimate skill bar

so when you skill bar full (reachs the 800)

you can use your wep ultimate skill

for examble heal all party,massive dmg to all enemies attacking you,so tough.shield for like 30second idk somethink like that

it will really adds potentioal to the game in my opnian :yahoo:

mine is still about BD, only can use ultimate skill after couple atk n lost HP, but idk, what do u think dev? :D
