There aren't so many muchomucho tics low lv arena bracket spammers and you can't deny the fact that all of the bracket arena chars will never need to acquire new gear or spend ridiculous amounts of coin to amp all over again and again. This game is advancing with new gear all the time, and now with new levels coming, this is where the bread and butter, and in my opinion, developers focus is. Not many games I have played focus on enhancing mid or low level character opportunities, we chose to keep these arena chars at a level, can't expect special treatment for the decision we make to half-way play a game.

  3. Would take long but a closed tourney for each class would be cool, top 2 or 3 from each move to next round where they versus other classes.. for example 2nd place shaman battles 2nd place of every other..

  5. Defense calculation on the partial damage from shield breaking hit.. of course, this makes sense. Going to do some more fooling around with it..

And now this: 0 defense, 0 astral Mob hits 85 Mob swings 3 times for 0 DMG, shield breaking hit 20 (3x85)+(85-20) = 320 1069 defense, 0 astral Mob hits 73 Mob swings 3 times for 0 DMG, shield breaking hit 17 ..now assuming shield doesn't factor defense we continue like this... (3x85)+(85-17) = 323 and this: 0 defense, 163 astral Mob hits 85 Mob swings 7 times for 0 DMG, shield breaking hit 83 (7x85)+(85-83) = 597 1069 defense, 163 astral Mob hits 73 Mob swings 7 times for 0 DMG, shield breaking hit 71 (7x85)+(85-71) = 609 So the numbers don't 'exactly' support shield absorption ignoring defense. How to account for the discrepancy?
  7. 1) Full guiding: 1333 physical defense 224 dark attack 280 astral = 655 DMG absorption 2) Guiding resilience mix: 1220 physical defense 299 dark attack 223 astral = 584 DMG absorption Difference is not so huge. Important to note, characters defense is a factor, the less the better.. Same as example 1 but with no head or feet equipped (dropping defense, dark and astral stats remain the same): 873 physical defense 224 dark attack 280 astral = 702 DMG absorption Same as example 2 but with no head or feet equipped (dropping defense, dark and astral stats remain the same): 764 physical defense 299 dark attack 223 astral = 625 DMG absorption These are all numbers from fooling around with young daemoness, still haven't got around to testing shield with player damage when resilience and other element based attacks are involved. In conclusion I think it is pretty useful how astral affecting shield potency plays along to the necromancers strength as a support class.

  9. First day created bladedancer and rogue... thought hamstring animation was boss, continued with bd. Stayed sentinel and leveled my ranger and druid... when there was nothing left to do I started a barb. New factions eventually released and I fell in love with necro. Play both sides.

  11. Cookies are mine! It's partial shields that will make it look like that is happening and animation over corpses like with gouge or nightmare, that's all.
  12. Not mad, funny :D you said it long after we had PvP a bunch of times different occasions sans kite and only once you took a win with lucky face melting crits. It's OK, kiyomi can be your number 1!

Pure boss build I think heal and shield at 5 is a blessing, points in eye is badass if you are often farming big HP bosses otherwise it's effect is something your pt will be achieving in a matter of seconds or minute(s) anyways. If only boss farms and swamp running I guess I would use something like 5 heal 5 shield 3 spit 3 nightmare or 4 heal 4 shield 4 spit 4 nightmare.
