Defensive weapon bonuses!

So now that we have rage, stun, lifesteal etc- why not more defensive weapon bonuses such as:

 

Soul recognition: 2.5% chance on 1h, 5% on staffs/2H

 

Skill: Has a chance to activate a barrier that absorbs a small amount of damage.

 

Equilibrium:

 

Skill: By sacrificing damage power for 10 seconds, you are healed 10% of your current missing health points
