Alternatives 1. Introduction In this guide I want to explain how to unlock and how to efficiently collect and clear the Daily Quests on the Flying Islands in Ayvondil, Elf/Chosen players will know it as "Pelion" while Mountain Clans/Forsaken players will know it as "Tom'Lugu". I will also compare these to other similar areas where you can collect a large amount of quests. The focus will be on experience, gold, difficulty and ease of finding a party. For the sake of you knowing right away if this guide is for you, here are the pros and cons. I will also compare these to two alternatives that will actually be accessible earlier. Pros : - High amounts of gold from the rewards. - Quick if everything goes smoothly.. - Many quests cleared at once, satisfying. - While walking you quickly get from one quest to the next, no boring travel time. - Finding a party is easy, even for weaker players. - Possibility of getting drops from bosses. Cons : - Highly contested by both allied and enemy faction players, the latter being able to attack you as it is a pvp area. - Duration can increase dramatically due to the previous point.. - Daily quest capacity of 50 might become a nuisance. - Requirement to travel back to Pelion/Tom'Lugu on a daily basis to collect the quests. - Monsters hit very hard, avoid tanking if not properly equipped. 2. Getting access Unlocking these daily quests can be tough as you need to get through the first three towns in Ayvondil, which can take a few weeks to get through. As soon as you hit the required reputation (1760 in order to complete the dungeon on the hard difficulty) to continue the storyline proceed to the next area until you hit Mara'kosh (Elf/Chosen) or Anzu'Iri (Mountain Clans/Forsaken). From now on you only have to complete story quests. The next area will be your goal; Pelion (Elf/Chosen) or Tom'Lugu (Mountain Clans/Forsaken). Keep in mind that you will only need to clear the story quests in and around the town for the dailies specified in this guide. 3. The Quests This town has a total of 43 daily quests, however we will focus on 26 of them. These 26 quests consist of : 10 minibosses, 5 of them on the same side of the map where the town lies, and 5 in the middle. 10 "bait" minibosses, coming from the name of the quests (Live-bait fishing : "Actual name of the boss here") 6 bosses, 3 of which can be found once again on your side of the map, and 3 in the middle. This is much more than the 10 quests from the old + new labyrinth and they also give better rewards, take less time AND are actually easier to complete. However, there's a catch. Unlike the lab quests, you only get access to 8 of these quests every day. 3 of each type of miniboss and 2 boss quests. They however do not appear randomly, we will always get up to 8 new quests the next day (until you hit the maximum for each). We want to collect these quests over the course of 3 days as by the third day we will have 9 miniboss, 9 baits and 6 boss quests. In Pelion these quests can be obtained from the NPCs Halkeus and Not : And in Tom'Lugu from the NPCs Bugotu and Purgo : 3.1 Map Here's a map of the whole area with all the information you might need on your adventures. The boss "Pteriks" can appear anywhere inside the PvP Area. It is recommended to check everywhere while walking through the area because it can be easily missed, especially on paths marked in light green. As you can see, the entire area in the middle is a PvP area, which means that the enemy faction can attack you. Many of them will ignore you but as you are competing for the same quests they might turn hostile. If possible avoid walking beyond the black line if it leads to the enemy faction area as it will inflict a deadly poison debuff on you. The enemy faction, however, will be neutral in this area just as they are in yours. Usually if you are not the party leader you will notice that people will deviate from this path very often due to other players clearing the bosses/baits in front of you. The choice at that point is either to wait for it to respawn or go in the opposite direction. Additionally, if you are near the center of the map (Near the Engineer Raidboss) you can walk to the other side assuming the boss is dead and try to clear the path ahead of any other party that went before you. 3.2 Duration A normal run as shown in the map will take between 30 minutes and an hour. However any other party in the area, allied or enemy, can slow it down considerably, particularly because of the time needed for bosses and bait minibosses to respawn (10 minutes!) If you notice that another party just left your town to do these quests, consider skipping the whole left or right area of the map and go straight to the middle. Then return once you completed the middle area. The minibosses will usually take mere seconds to beat, but the 200.000 health bossfights could take up to 10 minutes for the weaker teams. 3.3 Additional Daily Quests Although it's enough to just collect the quests from those two NPCs that I mentioned, you can get additional easy quests that may be worth doing. These are : - Pilgrimage of heroes and New pilgrimage of heroes These two quests require you to go past the black line marked in the map that leads to the enemy faction area, though this should usually be avoided as entering too far will almost certainly be deadly. The objective will be marked on the map and is 3 areas inside enemy territory, and once you enter and every 10 seconds thereafter you will receive a poison debuff that deals 5% of your maximum health in damage every 2 seconds. This gives you roughly 26 seconds to get through if you do not heal yourself, which is not enough so be ready. All of this makes this quest better suited for healers, they can make it slightly easier for themselves by unequipping gear with health. One of the tricks you can use for this is using potions and/or a friend using a healer on the opposite faction, he will be neutral to you and will be able to heal you. These quests cycle on a daily basis with two other quests that send you to kill enemy players but you should ignore those (usually). Decent reward if it's done efficiently (don't use life scrolls) After 30 seconds in this area you will have 4 stacks of this debuff so you will lose 20% of your maximum health every 2 seconds, be ready to use potions. Let's not mention the fact that I died immediately after this picture. - Pillars of lightning and Rainbow amplifiers This quest is really convenient as it requires you to activate items located in the middle area that happen to be exactly in the path you want to take, however, if multiple people in your party have this quest you will have to wait a few seconds for everyone to be able to use it. Also cycles with two other quests for which you have to collect 30 items from monsters, skippable. The rewards for this quest are not amazing but it should be taken anyway if possible. There are 12 of each of these, always on the main road in the middle of the map.If someone else uses it before you it will take 10 seconds before you can use it. - Nomarch of the first, two, three and fourth tiers These four quests will bring you to the technopolis dungeon located on the upper left of the map for Pelion and upper right for Tom'Lugu. You will have to get through easy, normal, hard and hero difficulties. While a party is easily found, this time it actually has to be pretty strong so don't be hasty. They also work like all other dungeons on Ayvondil so you will actually need 5000 reputation to clear the fourth one. You can get 2 of these per day. Excellent rewards. - Everyday work Special quests for which you have to complete quests for all NPCs in the town. Not really worth doing as they give no gold but I will mention it because it gives 90 reputation and decent experience. Take it if you aren't bothered by the daily quest capacity (50). 3.4 Rewards Collecting these daily quests during 3 days and completing them will reward you with 600 experience 15.000 gold 1140 guild points and 410 reputation for Pelion/Tom'Lugu Which can be further increased via additional daily quests to 800 experience 25.000 gold 1600 guild points 450 reputation Keep in mind the gold amounts assume that you will sell scrolls like these to NPCs! 4. Alternatives 4.1 Mara'kosh/Anzu'Iri You might have noticed the large amount of daily quests here. Many of these quests also require you to kill 1 boss or miniboss and you will often find players looking for a party to do it. It's possible to combine these quests together with the previously mentioned ones, but it will leave you with little space for other daily quests. Pros : - Most quests (except 4) are on your side of the map, no enemy faction. - Slightly shorter. - Close to the Flying Islands, can do both. - Good exp/gold as well as other rewards that can be sold for gold (potions and scrolls), easily getting over 10k if you complete quests collected during 3 days. Cons : - Middle area has 4 quest bosses that are often contested by both allied and enemy faction - No linear path through the quests. - More mobs in the way. - Bosses are just as hard, maybe even harder due to them having additional monsters protecting them. - Can be done daily, but just like on the Flying Islands these quests should be collected during 3 days. 4.2 Astral Labyrinth You've definitely seen these quests as they are located on Irselnort. The definitive advantage of the quests to kill all labyrinth bosses is the fast availability, and you will probably clear them a few times while leveling up. Although the kronus labyrinth gives 3 additional quests, they are not worth it sometimes due to the increased health of these bosses and the increased difficulty of the mobs in general. Pros : - Available very early. - Decent exp/gold rewards (up to 5k per old + new lab clear and selling all potions). - All quests can be done daily. - Clear path, but bring someone who knows the way in your first runs (It's a labyrinth after all). - Party can be found easily but some people are really picky. Cons : - Can take up to one hour (for old lab) and up to 2 if doing new lab too, should usually only do old lab. - Gets boring if done daily unless you turn it into a routine and know a team for it. - Requires a tank with experience in the labyrinth. - A death usually means the end of the run. - Enemy faction may interfere on the last 3 bosses. Of course, you can do all of these 3 daily quest collections, but to do it you will have to make sure you do not have any other daily quest if it's not from one of these three areas. That will increase the rewards substantially, and for maximum profit I'd recommend: Do the Labyrinth on a daily basis and collect Mara'kosh/Anzu'Iri and Pelion/Tom'Lugu quests in a way that you will never have to complete them on the same day because all 3 together could easily take more than 4 hours. Hopefully this will encourage new players to get further in the game as the amount of rewards they get will certainly increase if they do. Thank you for your time.
