Yes, some people I talked to also brought up that theory that Tenacity would reduce a 5-second control effect by 50%, leaving 2.5 seconds, and then the Magic Resistance Book would apply another 50% reduction on those remaining 2.5 seconds, bringing it down to 1.25 seconds. But honestly, I find that even more confusing, because all percentage-based stats in the game are always calculated from the base value. For example, if you have 5,000 HP and use a craft item that increases it by 15%, your HP goes up to 5,750. If you then use a potion that also increases HP by 15%, that bonus is again based on the original 5,000 HP, not on the current 5,750. So instead of going up to 6,612, your HP would go to 6,500. Percentage buffs for damage, defense, and other stats follow this same logic. So why would the control reduction parameter work any differently? That’s exactly why I started looking into how these parameters actually work. I believe the most likely explanation is that it works similarly to cooldown reduction even if you stack 200% cooldown reduction, your skill cooldown doesn’t drop to zero.
