Your point is 100% correct. I believe the current decline of the Mountain Clan is largely due to the following reasons: Part 1: PVP Aspects Skills: When certain Mountain Clan classes were adjusted or performed strongly in winter skill changes, they were often nerfed within a short period. On the other hand, the Elven Side has more crowd control and group protection skills. For example, back in 2018, it was rare to see many Paladin characters, but nowadays, every Flag War features a large number of Paladins. This class excels in group protection, group healing, crowd control, and even supports the use of heavy-armor Mermaids to enhance survivability. Raids: Due to the long-standing overpowered state of the Elven Side, raid books have been predominantly controlled by the Sentinels. Some guilds adopt an "alliance" distribution system where the more raid books they obtain, the more gold their guild members receive. This gold is then used to acquire better gear and dungeon books to further strengthen their characters (making them increasingly powerful). This aligns with the earlier point that controlling raid bosses leads to a snowballing advantage for a faction. Subsequent Impact: As the Sentinel faction continues to dominate raids, they naturally accumulate more raid books, which in turn gives them a significant advantage in arenas, Flag wars, and other competitive modes. When the opposing faction becomes overwhelmingly powerful, its only logical that many players would choose to leave. Part 2: PVE Aspects Class Balance: PVE class balance is highly uneven. The Mountain Clans lacks strong AoE capabilities: in recent weekly raids and the latest dungeon(AG), there are many situations requiring sustained AoE damage. On the MC side, only Charmers, Chieftains, and Warlocks perform well, while other classes struggle significantly with sustained AoE output. New Raids: Due to the above points, there is a noticeable gap between the Elven Side and the Mountain Clan in terms of damage output and top-tier character quality. This is evident from the raid Ranks across all servers in recent times. Weekly raids were a well-intentioned attempt by the developers to address this, but given the existing imbalances in capabilities and resource distribution, they have failed to reset the power dynamics between the two Sides. Currently, I find it difficult to fully understand the developers' design philosophy. However, in my opinion, if the Mountain Clan is still intended to be a meaningful part of the game, the developers should prioritize addressing its issues. Mountain Clan players simply seek a fairer combat and gaming environment—nothing more. If the Mountain Clan is no longer needed, then please introduce a class transfer feature, allowing Mountain Clan players to switch to Sentinel classes. This would eliminate the class strength disparity and save the developers from the headache of balancing class strengths.
