This is pretty accurate. Looking at the english discord for example, most of the times when new players come asking for advice, the first ones to answer usually are from elf side. I've probably had 50+ ppl from discord so far ask for a starter guild at eu elf, while also seeing many others offering help.   It's not a huge thing, but since mc side (atleast on the english side of things) seems to lack active people answering and helping, over time it does lead to more new people gravitating towards one side, which will just lead to an even larger gap in player numbers between the sides. 

Debatable belief to reinforce tbh

Because every time new players step into this game, they will be suggested to play the easy friendly budget class, and because most of the time they just follow their friends which mostly are from elf. Even if they somehow play mc first, sooner later they realize they chose the dead side, and that alone can hinder you from playing the game contents fully. It’s like playing the game in nightmare mode. The game already hard on its players in most of its ecosystem, so do yourself a favor. The game needs players to work. You can hope for a change, but don’t hope too much, things basically haven’t changed for years, no matter how many people complaining here on forum.
