Change to some reaper’s skill and talent
Toad Sage replied to mjk4's topic in Discussions and Suggestions
been waiting for demon form being accessible without minimum amount of hate -
It is more about the purpose of that stat nowadays. Its existence was justified because DKs needed it. But it's not the case anymore. Nobody wants the stat, nobody can utilize it. Then why does it exist.
-
I need to raise this question after devs killed DK's mid branch and changed the only skill in the game that benefited from the stat. Maybe it's time to rework this stat or completely replace it with better one.

Doesn't it tell you something when the fastest rogue is slower than a DK? -

This is a big step towards fair and original costume contests in the future, I believe. It will also encourage people who recognize plagiarism to speak up because they know appropriate actions will be taken. And perhaps the empty slot for the prize can be taken by other deserving costume? Just an idea. Also, speaking about prizes, umm, is there any estimate when we receive them -

Thanks, hopefully the frog can surface in the game -
Man the idea of hiding antropomorphic features and make it look round will actually be a new fun type of costume.

Trick's Roll (Classic, US Saphire)
Toad Sage replied to Classist's topic in Contest: Best Costume 2025
I got rickrolled after reading the story and got rickrolled again after seeing the costume and googled how rick's outfit looked like it really looks like a normal outfit at first glance smh. Also, you should name it Trick's Role. I am begging you! -

An armor that makes you a frog jinchuriki. Or a frog stand user. -
Beelzebufo Ampigna - The devil Frog's Armor. Maybe I will have time to work on the back and side view but I must submit it now. I will update the other views whenever possible.

The percentage can only be reduced if the duration is increased while the interval remains the same. Another way to make the effect less suck is by increasing the interval from every 2 sec to every 3 sec. Unfortunately there is no sign devs want to rework this awkward skill so far which is also lame. If you turn into demon and get hit again by any auto or skill with instant damage, the effect will be avtive again. But the previously absorbed damage will no longer count. And after that you can only hope your enemy dies because turning into demon again will take time.
-
Do you try to nerf or buff reaper in this? The longer the duration of imminent death, the better. If it is applied for 6 ssc it means the absorbed damage will be received by character by around 25% per tick instead of 20% per tick with the current 8 sec duration. If you want to buff it you should make the duration longer, not shorter. But if you want to nerf it, good luck. It's already an awkward skill. So the removal of skill negative effect should not work 100% of the time with the talent?
-
Murderous Thirst is still useless with the new update. EVEN IF the talent makes us crit 60% all the time, it's still useless because it doesn't add any value to the current rogue build and meta. A mid branch rogue basically has like 70% crit chance. A right branch rogue has guaranteed crit all the time in stealth. A left branch rogue can win Darwin Award and F themselves because the branch is horrible and it's their own fault if they choose it. Basically, it needs to be something that adds value to rogue in the battlefield. For example, make the talent grants bonus damage as if the enemies always have 34% hp. Now this will increase our overall damage but at some point the talent will cease to benefit us because we don't get extra bonus once the enemy is on low hp as we would have if we didn't activate the talent.

[2024.12.11] Warspear Online Update 12.7. Announcement. Part I
Toad Sage replied to LeeLoo's topic in News & Announcements
The part where it generates hate on received hit is now moved to Madness skill which is good I guess because it can't be resisted or removed anymore, the effect is applied on the character and not enemy. Unfortunately for me I seem to have fumbled my reaper by choosing right branch. Mid branch reaper will shine with these changes. It will take time to grind the mid branch but, hey, the switching of branches is now cheaper. -

There is no mistake here. Their message for rogue is clear. They solve the problem by removing the root, the class itself. But let's enjoy the test server. I really want to test other classes with the new changes. -

Quantum-Reworking baby. But idk, we need test server for this one. Because maybe by dealing more damage, we can outdamage enemy's healing (instead of reducing it like before). It's hard to imagine from this update. Tbf I predicted they would give us another passive skill this year but I thought it would be one of our queationably useless skills like Kick in The Back lol Also another downside to update is we are now forced to buy THE Mythical Apathy Relic. -

It could have been worse, don't worry. Because on the other side, there is a possibility that the talent was actually more effective than intended so they nerf it now. They need to elaborate. -

[Satire alrert] It is called Quantum-Reworking. They rework things that don't get any complaints because the ones that do are things players can still use (that's why people complain). "Hmmm this skill doesn't get any complaints so far, better fix this". I wonder what they meant by Tirelessness's accuracy reduction did not work as intended. I always had that talent activated when I check market to feel a bit safer. Was that all placebo? Lol -
Last chance to counter control effects.
Toad Sage replied to Toad Sage's topic in Discussions and Suggestions
In fact, we don't. But when you claim that we don't want to make the necessary sacrifice, the burden is on you to define the sacrifice because as we demonstrated, we don't need to include the drawbacks to be ready to accept them. Then we can give our views about how good or bad that suggested sacrifices are. Only then we can reject your idea of the "price" when we eventually disagree. Otherwise, you can't say we aren't ready to pay the price. You should also consider the possibility that maybe our class is just lacking and devs have been working on the solution for the last few years. They just deploy the updates gradually to keep testing things out. If that is true, then we might get pure buffs with no drawbacks. No one can tell if that's truly the case. Just don't be surprised. If we do get pure buffs with no drawbacks, trust me these conversations and suggestions don't make it happen. Devs already planned it for a long time. But while they are working on the fixes, rogues are suffering, we need to speak up and in the process, we may inspire them to make the best solutions. Regardless, don't rob us off our rights to point out the problems in the class while giving suggestions. We have no responsibility to include potential drawbacks, and you need to actively give suggestions if you want to claim we reject your ideas.
