Since the recent update introducing Korean language support, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of new Korean players joining the game. However, Korean-speaking players are currently experiencing significant inconvenience due to two issues.
Both of these issues have been known for several years, and I finally received a response about them on Discord last year. At the time, we were told that they were considered relatively low priority. If that is still the case, I would like to ask: how much longer are Korean players expected to wait for these issues to be addressed?
The first issue affects players using Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Due to the Korean text input/character decomposition issue, Korean characters are not displayed or entered correctly in the in-game chat, making it difficult or even impossible to communicate normally in Korean.
The second issue affects Windows users. When the keyboard input language is set to Korean, keyboard shortcuts do not function properly. As a result, players are unable to use their skills through keyboard shortcuts while Korean input is enabled.
The Korean character decomposition issue on Apple devices is a relatively common problem, and there are already well-known solutions and methods for handling it. Because of this, I hope it can be addressed without requiring a particularly complicated fix.
As for the Windows issue, I believe one possible solution would be to allow skill key inputs to be recognized regardless of whether the keyboard is currently set to Korean or English. Of course, I am not a developer, so I cannot say whether this would be technically feasible or whether there is a better solution.
The recent Korean language update has brought many new Korean players into the game, which is a very positive development. However, these basic input and communication issues can make it difficult for new players to enjoy the game and may ultimately cause some of them to leave.
Please consider giving these issues a higher priority and help ensure that the Korean players who have recently joined the game can continue to enjoy it without these unnecessary inconveniences.
Thank you for your time and consideration. @Shimarin
