  1. With the introduction of League mode and the whole new arena system in 2024, I find it hard to believe that nobody made more than 100k imps as shown in the infographics. Were imperials for ranks not accounted for? Or is it just counted only to a the point before new arena system was introduced (meaning League, Brawl, Tournament modes)? @Shimarin
  2. The thing is now seekers have 16s long speed movement skill with 12s cd. Which they can have basically perma on. While is chiefs have to rush in, wait for cd and then can get out. This nerf doesnt make sense. They should nerf Seekers movement speed skill or BMs tree in similar way to be fair.
  3. Agreed. I liked the support part of chiefs, even with the changes that should encourage players to play magic builds, I think support aspect of the class should not be affected/changed. But they did, so I kinda hoped for better defense buffs for chiefs. Bleed nerf was expected, but the survivability is what we needed.
  4. Chieftains lost the ability to cast Rugged Hide on allies too, now with reduced dmg reduction on it being passive too. This needs some buff since its not a support skill anymore. Wolf’s Alacritys cooldown after the effect runs out… Shouldn’t that apply to BMs tree and Seekers speed skill too?
  5. Agreed. Could be a bit higher, even with 20% it didn’t feel like much. I am also little concerned about the nerf of Thrashing skill. Why not just remove all the debuffs from it, give us plain and simple AoE silence like Paladins have.

  7. Thank god we agreed on Last Wish skill working properly. I answered your previous question in which you said do not take external things into account, so I didn’t. You wanted to talk about pure skills… I did that. You wanted me to watched the videos in this post? Done. I even analyzed it in the posts before. As for posts/videos from RU forum… You uploaded those recently… didn’t you also mention this is global server? What´s RU forum posts has to do with it? Nevertheless I have watched the RU video and yes, monster barbarian is strong in map 2 flag war which is badly designed to be lifescrolls spamming competion. But apart from that? You might want to mention that there are arena videos in RU video. Yes, the thing theyre talking about there is a unbalanced damage reduction scaling from all the buffs and the immortality which occurs when both stoneskin and last wish is in effect, which AGAIN lasts only 8s. At least they provide proper evidence unlike videos in this post. And I agree with RU post, which is well made. Well enlighten me? If I didn’t understand? Because @Theweaselobserved that I mentioned all of the barb mechanics/skills with their correct description, names and how they work with each other. The fact that you can’t handle other opinions is your thing, but don’t drag it into a DISCUSSION. I hope I won’t have to translate to you what that word means. Remove map 2 war from equation. What are we left with it? The said combo of stoneskin, mm gears and last wish. Which can reduce from 40%-100% depending on the combionation of said buffs. BUT… there are also tanks that can achieve big damage reduction for a long period of time and I am not even mentioning absense of SHIELD skills on Legion side… Which if I am not wrong Sentinel classes have plenty of. It essentially also reduces damage to 0 when it´s on (even though only till it absorbs certain amount of damage). If you want to nerf something, then the problem is in monster mode. Because your concern is about barbs staying in MONSTER mode, which deals a big amount of damage for 15s to flag. But how about PvE? We’re only talking PvP. How does changing this affect PvE barbs? This game isn’t just PvP, War and Raid wars.
  8. Then tell me how is it supposed to work? Skill is not bugged, that is confirmed by GMs. If you take out players, gears, buffs out of equation… You’re left with skill that says at 40% hp barbarian will reduce all incoming dmg for 8s with the cooldown of 90s, that can be further reduced by talent or Warcrys affected targets. So what’s there to change? Decrease hp threshold for activation? Increase cooldown? Warcry time decrease doesn’t work while monster mode is on. Decrease duration? Every tank has skills LIKE “Last Wish” of their own. Like Secret reserves for DK. Have you ever considered things apart from map 2 war situation? Stop referring me to watch the videos. I did watch them and as former barb who actually made a guide here approved by GM, I think I know how barb class works and how to play it, I know their skill combos and what makes them durable. The videos itself are not a proof of anything, just because fully buffed tank in videos uses the best defense build and spam pots. If you want to make proof, put some work into it. Research the skills, equipment of barb, his defense stats, his skill build. Then show us the same for those who attack him. Wanna kill barb? Bring mage, bring some control classes along. Rather than blindly attacking, you could use silence, stun, mana drain, magic ban and plenty of others debuffs/controls. Until you tried that… Don’t tell anyone to refer to those nothing saying videos. Do you remember how old “Last Wish” skill worked? @weakplay Because if you did, you would know, that it worked practically the same as now, but with bugs. Sometimes it granted immortality and sometimes it didn't. So GMs reworked it so now it actually works as it should. I do understand your POV, but whats your solution to it? Reduce duration? Reduce dmg reduction? Nerf monster mode? What do you propose that won’t destroy the barb as tank, what skill you suggest they replace Last Wish with to have similar mechanics as DK Secret Reserves? Or whatever defense skills other tanks have that serve the similar purpose? And what is this “Shark chief” you keep saying?
  9. Yes, whole Warspear is not US server. But only server that have majority of Legion classes over Sentinels are RU ones. If all other servers have majority of Sentinel classes then my comment applies to 80% of whole Warspear. You mentioned Merman gears… how is that relevant to the skill? Same arena arena gears and wars… no relevance of how skill works. If we’re talking pure skills… Last wish is still the same. Before it got bugs… like it didn’t activate at the right hp threshold or didnt even activate. They fixed it by reworking it into this. Elves weren’t complaining back then were they? Skill stayed the same, but the game progressed, but since you wanna talk about PURE skills… it works as it always worked.
  10. It´s easy on paper. Merman gears dont drop much on US Legion side, I am not talking about it being expensive, just not so easily obtainable if it wont even drop. And as for arena accesories… That depends if they go for greatness/contender. Then if they dont get any rank, then it might as well take a whole year to make one 4 MM barb on underpopulated server, which an issue in most servers. Barbarians you see in the screenshot are mainly old barbs who collected their 4 pcs ober longer time period. I do agree with your statement when something is unbalanced people tend to make more of it. Classic example is druid and BM on Sentinel side. If 8s Last Wish granting “immortality” for non-barb class mains, then barbarian needs to be reworked in the way that won’t affect its ability to still be able to tank.
  11. So easy to create barb… proceeds to say ONLY need 4 MM gears and arena gears. Very fast progress. Especially on underpopulated US server with 4 times more elves and very low drop rate of MM gears on Legion side.
  12. Is 8s such a issue if barb is stunned? And if you’re going to mention monster barb then they cant use Warcry to speed up their Last Wish skill. So every situation has it pros and cons. 8s of staying alive and not being able to cast skills is good as dead
  13. Nobody said 100% dmg reduction is reasonable. But Last Wish gives you 95% dmg reduction for 8s with 75-90s. Stoneskin is 40% dmg reduction if block occured. So? 100% dmg reduction for 8s is broken to you? What do you mean not very high threshold? It literally is 90s. The cd of it can only be significantly reduced if there are tons of PvE mobs since Warcry’s limit for player affected is 6. I have already provided screenshots of skills before, please do revisit them.
  14. Watch your language. This forum is not a place for your tantrums. Either make a constructive argument on why this testing is needed, what does it prove and so on. Am I right? @Higgings I have said that this particular test you wanna suggest is insignificant because its based on 1vs1. If you wanna do it on mass scale say it, record it, show it to GM. But don’t be rude about it when someone disagrees with you. As for Last Wish, if there is complain about barb being too tanky… and everyone mentioning that Wd can survive for 3s and Barb can for 8s longer. Whats the problem? Each class is tanky in its own way. Stoneskin is like WD fortification skill. All of barbs defense can only be used on him. Wardens can shield allies, so does Pala. Clearly you just want to see the class become unplayable and become like paper, so you can get the satisfaction of insta killing the class. So far none of you have provided any suggestion how could this matter be resolved. That means either one of these things: 1. You have no clue about how this class works. 2. You only desire to destroy the class. Please, go ahead. Everybody ignoring this question and only “crying” about the problem.
  15. Isn’t that the point of monster mode? Plus I doubt every barb in server have 4 mm gears and can reach max speed to make it efficient. This is a whole different matter though. Besides monster mode only lasts 15s with a high cd too. What does testing this prove? You could do the same test with wd, pala, dk, bd, reaper, charmer, templar. Barbs have had Last Wish since it was created, granting 8s of immortality before dying. Nobody complained before, now with new contents there are also new limits to reach. How about you try to think of a way to counter it instead? This is not a 1vs1 game.

I haven’t heard a single suggestion from you how GMs should fix the problem. Or is that too hard for you to think of? I mean if you can’t provide one, that means you don’t understand the class at all, therefore your complains are invalid.

And no, if GMs think the class or skills needs to be fixed, I am happy to see it get balanced. I said what I said. Before making a post please read the rules, what should your post contain. Before referring to RU forum. This is English forum. What happens there is related to RU servers as English servers are related to the remaining ones. Go complain in RU forum in Russian, until then don’t mention it here. But you’re off topic again. Where is the solution I asked you to provide?
  18. Is it? They are bigger variety to play with chieftain class. There is full physical, full magical, hybrid build. Physical one focuses on single targets, magical on AoEs. Hybrid is combination of both, but with reduced dmg in both areas. @Gladiatormight have mentioned all the skills chieftain have, but we cant lvl up all of them, can we? The part about heal is wrong. If chieftain is full physical with only magic in maces, the heal from magic skills (AoEs) or even the Bear Stamina skill is insignificant even on heal pot. And lifesteal heal would work only from bleeds, which need time to generate.
  19. First of all, I check all videos… All videos about same barb Blockparry, who stands in one place and uses Warcry, Combat Fury, HP pots. Considering you didnt record any other barbs apart from that lv 30 barb, that is hardly a proof of being broken. Second of all, in the world of Warspear developers created 19 other classes to make the game versatile. That means EVERY class is different. So there is no way to compare, is there? What do you call hit? He is so dangerous he used 3 skills and died in 10s? If you speak about Blockparry, he didnt hit/kill any of those MANY elves I saw in the video. And immortality for 8s is broken? Barb spent 8s being perma stunned, very unbalanced. Last of all, I didnt give you so call “excuses”. Remove Last Wish from barb so he can die fast is your solution to balance the class? No wonder GMs are ignoring you. At this point this post is only about you complaining that TANK classes can actually tank… So if this post is just about this, might as well delete the whole game, because TANK classes such as BARB are supposed be tanky. But since you didn’t bother to do your research about barb skills I have provided them here for you. @HiggingsI think you could lock this topic, if there aren’t any suggestions to fix/rework the class provided, am I right? Since that would make this post about nothing.
  20. What is there to nerf? This passive skill Clan’s help requires chief to use 2 specific skills 3 times in order to receive that defense buff. Which lasts 16s.
  21. First of all, you can see barb only pressed few skills. He started with Resist, then charged Flag, used Strong Blow while resist was active. Then got perma stunned to death. If thats your definition of barb being dangerous while being perma stunned at flag, but can’t die for 8 seconds because of Last Wish, then I have no idea how weak elf side must be to be scared of this. Plus the video only lasts 17s. He charged flag at 0:05 died at 0:15. Considering Last Wish lasts 8 seconds. Its a pathethic proof of barbs being “broken” as you would call it. The fact that you have the need to insult people who oppose you instead of providing the solution I asked you to provide proves my point. Before making a post about barb, how about you try to play it first? You don’t seem to know a thing about it to make this posts in any way useful for others. What exactly is the purpose of this post? GMs answered your questions about skill being bugged. Which I must remind you, the answer was big fat NO. Since you’re calling for balance and dont know anything about the class, how about you let GMs handle it? Rebalance also take place every year on December never earlier as @Higgings mentioned to you earlier.
  22. What do you mean by die instantly? Isnt the point of being tank actually be able to tank some dmg? Barbarians have skill called Warcry which reduces Last Wish cooldown. So more enemies = faster the Wish activates. Another thing. Stoneskin on barb was reworked due to the fact it was so easily removed by bleed making barbs like paper. So in combination of Stoneskin and Last Wish with cooldown deduction from Warcry, Wish activates fast. It well balanced now as it is. I havent seen barb doing anything else than using warcry and healing in those videos. Wardens could do the same before with their block heals. Elves werent too concerned about nerfing it then, am I right? Either way, maybe try test it in arena, when barb cant use hp pots. Maybe instead of constantly spamming this post with the your “Barb needs nerf”. Try to add your solution that wont entirely destroy the class as it is. Which you could provide if you had actually took time to understand how this class works. Whats the point of this post otherwise?
  23. Hello, event started. You must have misunderstood. It is 2x drop chance, not 2 drops in dg. I hope it’s clarified now.
  24. As I chief player, I disagree with with nerf. Physical build does have the dmg output, that is true, but it does that by sacrificing heals, magic dmg and your AoE skills, that are based on magic dmg not physical. In arena being good 1vs1 doesn't do much, since arena was not designed to be 1vs1. So chief can be good vs single targets, but if you think healing from just pure physical based skills is enough to be tanky, then you’re mistaken. As for chiefs resist skill. It lasts 5s on 4/4 or more with talent (to be precise 9s) but then again it comes at the cost of losing 10% resist per second till last 20%. Rugged hide got also huge nerf comparing to previous 60%-90% dmg reduction to max of 60% dmg reduction max (meaning when we’re left with about 10% hp). You forgot to mention one thing, we got resist true, where are our stuns? We have to do thrashing + frenzy to have 2-4s stun, while thrashing gets resisted in 90% of cases. So we rely on our dmg. Besides I am one example how to build chief, that is not full physical, being able to tank in mass crowds, arena etc. That’s all a combination of timing and my gear and skill build with 2 books only. There is a big variety how to build chief, a lot of build built for different situations. So if you want to utilize magic build, sure. Increase some magic dmg in skills, make some physical skills based on dominating physical/magical dmg, but don’t do it at the cost of physical dmg, as it would only be nerf for chief. With the introduction of bracelets as it was mentioned earlier, magic dmg barely does any dmg and now you want chief to be more magic so it can’t kill anything? Comparing charmer and paladin to chief doesnt make sense either, since paladin is a tanky healer and charmers are summoners, so their dmg is dependant on summons. If anything compare it with seeker, BDs or mages even.
  25. Hello! I want to suggest some changes to these skills: Thrashing Rugged Hide First of all, let´s talk about Thrashing. The skill itself sounds really good, the debuff to pdmg and mdmg alongside with debuff to attack speed. But the main problem with it when fighting ranged that it still allows the affected enemy the usage of skills. What I was thinking was to change the skill a bit to work like Paladins skill Shackles of Justice or Druids skill Entangling Roots . Yes, I am well aware that one is AoE and other is single target skill Chiefs skill is also AoE (5 yards range, but you need to target) and Shackles of Justice have only 2 yards range, but you dont need to target anyone (practically saves time when when you’re casting it) Main difference from chief skill = from lv 4 and more it also silences affected targets So my final suggestion would be to rework thrashing skill to either: Silence affected targets from certain level (whilst keeping the targetting feature, but removing the debuffs in its entirety) Instead of debuff in Attack Speed replace it with Skill Cooldown debuff Second of all, the main survivability skill of chiefs, Rugged Hide. Main problem with the nerf of this skill was the drastic decrease in damage reduction (from 40% to 20%). I can understand the reason behind the nerf of this skill, but I would say it was mainly based on examples of chieftains with Orcinus book, which there are really few in each server. Skill description: Applies the Rugged Hide to the character or party member for X seconds, reducing damage taken by Y% for every Z% of missing health. Question: Reading this I understood is as upon casting it reduces 0% dmg if the character is at full health and initially gets stronger as health goes down. Correct me on this if it’s wrong. Therefore it makes it 40-44% damage reduction at 30% health. (Counted with talent = additional 2%) So my suggestion to the buff for this skill would be to either: Buff the amount of dmg reduction from 20% to 30% (60-64% with talent at 30% health) + also slightly increasing duration of the skill from 13s to 16s Change the skill itself to: Applies the Rugged Hide to the character or party member for 16 seconds, reducing damage taken by 35%. Additionally reduces dmg by 1,5% for every 3,5% of missing health. (65-67% with talent at 30% health) – Rugged Hide on 4/4 So these would be my ideas about the skills.
