yeah sorry to jump to conclusion pliskin I grew up smothered covered and slathered in religious ideology, canned religeous themed statements and was told that everything not church related was the devil. or a "sin", I grew up and away from any religon and I am firmly Agnostic, I can't say I am aethiest because that would mean that I know for a fact no higher being exists. 3. Amp system - to high, to critical to have to be competitive. this was covered in the previous post. 4. Lack of end game - Eve is a good game to look at for inspiration at a long running endgame - their player base is very loyal and their end game is pretty much began just a few months after starting. Sand box design has a huge advantage over quest driven games for end game - fine have your little quests for getting to twenty. then here is how you add end game for any mmo. bosses - like lab for pve players - your good there introduce new dungeons and goodies for the carebears from time to time they will be happy- they like team work related dungeons with multiple difficulty I personally hate those long drawn out types of fights but I know many player thrive on that crap. crafting system - my wife played ultima online for 8 or so years - she built every item in the game had a huge house ran vendors ALL on a crafter oriented playstyle - you make a game where the craftable items are good enough quality to compete with dropped items you wont be able to make players like her leave- she finally went to WoW because the servers in uo were practicly dead. the crafting system is not nearly as advanced in wow ( which is ironic since its newer) but she made do on that for years, she crafted and ran the auction house. housing - maybe... purchase a plot of land - dont work it yourself as a company let the player buy items to put on it - so you take ship to an island surrounded by mists you buy a land deed at the dock . the mist clears (land spawns )and you now have the ability to improve that land - you get resources to plant - monster generators to guard your land or to fight against - the houses in UO are why people are still playing it now. theyre the culminations of a DECADE of playing the same game. UO screwed up a lot but they got that part right. reward openworld pvp like eve online - the deeper you go into enemy / neutral turf the better the rewards. give players the bility to build guilds make factions, and get paid doing it. ships and mounts - build them make them cool....players will come players will stay and collect. look ai grind players dont need you to tell us an epic story, we dont need any more quests, we dont need more epic levels to gain. we want to war meaningful war with booty, we want to build we want to build a friggin empire with our wee pixellated hands- the essence the core of what all humans like to do- fight build destroy and talk shit and show our epeen. give us basic tools to do that and you will be as big as ..... oh i dunno a poorly pixelatted game like minecraft. the difference from minecraft is with mmorpg roots if you can cut us loose and set us free with guild systems and manageable alliances you will be bigger than anything on the market. a phone playable mmorpg is just something that cant be beat if done right. mmorpg is not about graphics its about the social interaction. its about playability. on a phone especially. you have the interface nailed for phone play sure tweak it overall its good though. now pull your head out of your collective rearends , sell crap cheap so we use the heck out of it and enjoy the game more, give us tools to build stuff and manage guild systems.you will be in business for the next decade or more. "give us free"

Guildwars is a good example of balanced pvp and it ended up holding top spot right next to world of warcraft as number one mmorpg.(gw 1 I havent researched Guild wars 2 yet). people get frustrated with chasing and amping and investing only to have the devs make a "balance" change and make all their work a waste of time. then they nerd rage and quit and find something else . if you cause a rage induced quit then players wont come back nearly as often than when they just a little bored. imbalance is the difference between temporarily losing some players and permanantly losing others.

1. lack of balance - perception is reality. my biggest complaint about all faction/pvp based mmos where factions have different skill sets from each other. Eve online and ultima online dont have this because all skills and weapons are avaidible to all players if you suck at pvp in Eve or UO it is because you dont have the right stuff. however both games have one fact in common the better you are at pvp the worst you are at other aspects of the game. if a particular race or faction is percieved as being "op" then whether it really is or not is completely irrelevant. in World of Warcraft for example the horde racial bonuses were veiwed as being better for pvp. people who wanted to be good at pvp made horde, after a few years balance was found but imagine the drama and nerd rage that would have been saved if they had just made racial bonuses completely cosmetic.for pve players wh are all about storyline they would have been just as happy. and pvpers wouldnt have had anything to complain about.companies dont offer two balanced teams to face each other because they like to see people "chasing the OP" they adjust and tweak things in order too "bring balance" and players find another "perceived" imbalance and rush to start building those characters. imbalance is never going to exist as long as there are two factions with different skill sets avaidible to them. even if there is only a perceived imbalance pvp driven players will act on that and create an imbalance.

If you believe pride is a sin then you are deeply religous and you believe that because some book or preacher tells you to.use your own brain think for yourself. pride is a natural emotion experienced by any human being who has ever overcome any challenge. it is our emotional "payoff" for busting our butt and getting something done. building a chair for example? get some wood make measurements cut assemble etc. get done test it out IFit fails you feel frustration, if it succeeds you feel pride. pride is the mark of people who accomplish things. people who immedietly feel guilty for that pride have been brainwashed through religious literature and preachings of some dipstick religious leader. thats another tool rich people use to keep poor people poor. oh god says you should be happy where you are and never try to improve and be proud of it. oh getting high is awesome people do it on tv all the time and never get in trouble for it. Having a child completely shifted my priorities and what I cared about. Like weed for example. My philosophy before having a child was "live and let live" I did not want to smoke weed. I saw the inherent costs associated with breaking the law gettting a job, failing drug test etc. but people who smoked weed did not bother me if they wished to smoke it.it was their life their priorities their decision didnt affect mine at all. Now as an adult I've got friends I dont let hang out around my kid. they get high, I dont want them telling my kid its ok to get high or influencing him in that direction or getting him in trouble by getting caught holding for them or something like that. My personal veiw of weed is that it is like speeding, its something a lot of people have done and will continue to do. It is a relatively minor offense that can have consequences that can close doors forever. especially if the offense is repeated. speeding = 1 bad wreck can kill or maim yourself or someone "bah it wont happen to me" is a common mindset of young people that that makes older people like myself cring. by the time some people figure out "holy crap it CAN happen to me" theyre pooping in a colestomy bag and stuck in a wheel chair the rest of their life, possibly carrying the guilt of killing someone else (that would be later in life youngsters dont seem to have the capability to understand the true ramifications of their actions) weed = get fired and it reduces your hirability- somebody has got to make the burgers and thats all cool if you have the zen like approach to life etc. but that is a decision I want my son to make of his own free will after he is an adult. I dont want it it "advocated" to him as I know some of my friends would do if they hung around him. So as a youngster "hey man whats up !!??? no no thanks I dont smoke. yeah I got two tickets to..... blah blah.) As a grown up with a child "get that shit away from my house and dont come back here high you know damn well I have a family to take care of now." since a lot of my old friends stay high they fn better stay gone. My sons well being matters more to me than any of my friends, matters more than my own life, his mom feels the same way. it changes everything. dont get me started on being on the highway and dodging drunk drivers with my family in the car. I get downright homocidal. I have lost two friends to drunk drivers. when I see them I want to pull up and shoot them. I dont, I suppress it, I clamp it down, I calmy call the police and watch from a distance in case they hit someone and I need to carry out first aid. but I have that much rage at the disregard for other human lives around them. especially the idea of my son possibly being hit by some drunk idiot. the primary reason for the rage is the fact I have a son. the primary reason for not going apeshit is that I have a son and I cant to go to jail and provide for him. its a deep internal protective rage that is very difficult to control. I went to war as a young single man and did not feel that sort of rage even at people that were trying to kill me. when my son was born though I found a whole new level of love that can be pretty scarey. I used to think I was tough because I was afraid of no one, mean as shit and had nothing to lose, I would fight at the drop of a hat I did not give a F. now I have a family to protect. It takes an act of congress to get me to fight. someone could spit in my face talk to me like a dog, I would take it. If It was at work and I needed the paycheck I would take it untill I got another job lined up. if no other job lined up I would be one abused douch cause I am taking care of my damn family and I am not going to jail over someone disrespecting me. If someone messes with my family though my capacity for violance is far far far beyond anything I could have considered at 21 and single. I would say parental love is extremely powerfull if not the most powerfull thing in the universe. except warlocks cause warlocks are op and all you know it. HAAA see I got back to topic. ;D

better for what? what are your priorities? do you like to group or do you like to solo. do you like to pvp or do you like to tank bosses? do you want to stack defense or do you want to stack astral?or do you want to be well rounded? FOR ME I prefer Aura 5 aura 5 heal 5 purify I use an astral mace a sheild, and jewelry if you look up to the novel a few entries up I go into great detail as to why. LATER I may change my mind. the question you ask has too many variables that only you can answer. the topic has been debated a little already in other threads. honestly it totally depends on your end game goals what you like to do etc. maybe it could even depend on your gear that you currently possess. I used to play a game called ultima online. I had a character who was a standard sword and board guy. I killed a pker and managed to loot a truly epic bow from him. in that game you could retrain skills and I dropped parry, mageryand sword for archery,animal lore,and taming. after an epic month long grinding process I had a dragon the size of a Semi and a bow that would knock anyones dick in the dirt. the entire motivation for me rebuilding was 100% motivated by a bow that was just so damn nice I could not sell it. I ended up with a character that was so obscenely over powered it was embarrasing to play.(almost hehehe) (for those UOrs out there Archery, tactics anatomy healing taming lore and magic resist I used recall scrolls and magery rings to get around and summoning balls to call my dragon and nightmare to me.) my thinking is for using a two hander pvp oriented type guy FOJ is better. if I were gonna go with two hander I would go with 5 FOJ 5 heal 5 purify , but I solo a lot. if I wanted to be more party friendly and carry a two hander I would go with 5 purify 5 foj and 5 aura. heal without the astral buff and aura kinda sucks. I ate a lot when I diodnt have stacked astral crap and aura I would fight and get low on life and usually i would also be low on mana. so I would eat alot and use potions. if I didnt have those i would have to use all my mana and wait for regen after any hard fights.

Rogues I survive well against since I made some adjustments to gear and playstyle. Locks necs and shams still play me like a yoyo

bramm is your 960 heal a critical heal? yes with aura minimum is 460 And I've seen you stack astral so much that you even gave up the damage crystal in your mace and used astral instead.yes astral adds damage to foj secondary damage and increases my heal consider it reassigning some damage from your 2 hand attack into heal power. In 5x5 if you are targeted you will be crushed you cant take the attack of 2-3 players no one can without bubbles heals or similar support. if you are the one who is left over and other guy is taking the damage you should make sure you cause enough damage in the mean time he dies,or.. this is crazy.. I foj interupting his attacker stack on a the purify dot then cast a heal on my partner thus preventing him from dying at all because our combined damage compared to their combined damage with all else being equal should be reducing both life bars at the same rate of speed so by healing him I allow him to survive being focused and then we gain a two to one advantage. so I use 2h axe and gave up heal and going to higher aura and foj so I could help my party. and as daxter said I would also try the revenge set to get higher critics. Just my thought and am developing still so suggest me plz a lot of people are doing that and its a badass build with big old crits good cc and a armor penetration for folks with high armor. go for it. or make a barbarian and do it better, or a blade dancer and do it better or if your gonna focus on being dps elf side make an archer or a mage. those guys have way better damage and theyre ranged. I get it it it kills faster and easier. but to me If i were to go for big damage I would go all out for big damage and not bother with a paladin. the problem I have with damage based characters of any class is the lack of options. if youre damage focused you have one tactic for any and all situations. I am searching for that perfect well rounded balance that makes a paladin unique. I am searching for the universally usefull it is the only character in the game with heal , tank, and cc capabilities. I'm not looking for the "best" answer to a specific problem. Im looking for the "most" answers to apply to all problems. tank? yes got it.not the best but I will do because I can enhance heals and heal myself as well. damage? yes 299 damage plus enhanced astral with crits up to 900 theres way higher out there but I still have teeth. heals? 5 aura buffs the shit out of any healers in the party and I can heal myself and act as a secondary healer OR if there is another paladin in the party we pretty much have a decent healer between the two of us. No time to party? I can solo hunt like no bodies business. never stop to regen, I can tank mini bosses without potions and I make plenty of money.my life bar is full and I sell potions for money.I laugh when I see MC swigging potions to survive me because going to the statue costs nothing but drinking a potion costs gold, gold translates into Mccoin, Mccoin equals dollars. I just took that ♥♥♥♥♥es quarter at no cost to myself. my heal is like a free potion every 14 seconds and its a pretty decent potion too!! PVP? yes I do ok. I random arena on 2s and 5s sometimes I get shit partners sometimes I get good ones, open world pvp is what I prefer and at that I do pretty damn good. theres quite a few 20s that used to kick the crap out of me that cant do that without lots help anymore. when I get in the mood I can pvp all day long. I perform just fine without potions and since you dont pick up repair cost from dying from pvp I throw myself into the front again and again and again., I crit heal a bd on the verge of death and watch him reek havoc. I foj a rogue attacking a healer stack a dot on that ♥♥♥♥♥ and burn him down maybe I get focused and sent back to the statue I res cast aura cast heal im back to 3/4 life bar by the time I hit the bridge heal cooldown is over and I top off. I never have to stop and regen I can literally make war ALL DAY NON STOP the thing is as a paladin NEVER am I going to out damage an equally geared archer or mage. so if I heal him and keep him in the fight I am doing massive damage vicariously through his action.I will NEVER out heal a druid or priest, but their armor sucks If I protect the healer from the rogue with a well placed FOJ how much damage have I put out because of his healing those damage dealers around him. with this build I can be a FORCE MULTIPLIER with the amount of options I can make the correct decision when needed. thats the thing about playing a well rounded character the decision making isnt already made for you you have to think on your feet. its very boring to play a straight damage dealer for me. if i approach an open battle instead of mindlessly rushing into the fray I look for key enemy and allies. even while targetting I try to figure out who needs my heal most who of the enemy needs to die first and who my best damager is. when i get it right i can turn the tide with one correct decision. Or I can fail that happens to. sometimes I mess up. sometimes the situation calls for a pure healer or a pure tank or pure damage and I am just not up to it. every class every build every weapon every crystal every rune every peice of armor has advantages and disadvantages. there is no "best" That being said. you have got to find what you like best. what works for me may suck for you. The best I can do is tell you my thoughts and why I make my decisions. they are uniquely suited to my playstyle, my level of aggression, my lack of patience etc. my biggest ♥♥♥♥♥ about this build is the damage. everything else I love and since I have gotten my champion mace to plus 8 I am finding less and less to ♥♥♥♥♥ about. I think once I get maxed out this build is going to prove to be extremely hard to kill for any class with any level of gear. even with gear not quite finished i dont get burned down any more. it takes a minute to kill me I dont care who you are. and surviving me is not that easy for anyone anymore. they do i still lose but the difference between now and last month is i used to drop like a folding chair and they would be nearly full life. now even if i am beaten the enemy life bar is usually pretty low. it takes a good player to kill me now, shamans and necros keep me off of them pretty easy but they have to kite and work for it now. it takes "effort" on their part. i am looking forward to seeng how things are next month with some more gear upgrades.

Theyre not pixels, they're online representations of people.there is a person behind each avatar. A living breathing feeling person. So of course you can develop feelings.hopz for example. If I met him in real life I would have to force myself not to kick him in his junk. I would remind myself it is a game and move past the rivalry.but the feelings of rivalry are there where there is hate there can be love.if you honestly have no feelings and view other players as nothing but pixels then why play mmo games at all. Shit I have many friends irl I met online over the past decade. One saved my dogs life by paying.his vet bill for me over the phone. I payed him back in full and consider him a true friend. In a fantasy world you can treat people however you want I beleive it is the most honest view you can have of a persons soul.

I am having trouble with adding members. My friend list is full and I cannot always use pc . If your ok with helping me splat every mc we cross regardless of level or relationship I suppose . Tbh don't get to do much all pallidin stuff yet .
