Should newbie buy Red equip?

So i saw the Beginner advice on this forum, and they said that i need to save/invest to lv18 red equip, when i realised that no matter which faction and what time, i never seen any red equip from the dealer. Should newbie like me still have to save gold for it or purple equip is also okay?

Purple equipment will do just fine. 

 

Red tier is quite expensive and you likely wouldn't he able to afford any.

Okay thank goodness, i'll get purple once i reached lv18

 

I have more questions if you don't mind: 

1. After getting purple weapon, should i go for purple armor too or expert skill? I heard expert skill are too good to pass, but they cost a lot
2. Should i invest in Talents? i have tons of knowledge but they required a huge sum of money for seemingly small stat, which i thought it's for super late-game min-maxing only
3. Should i start crafting? if yes, which profession you recommended?
4. Do you have any guild recommendations in EU-Emerald? i'm Lv9 Beastmaster, but also willing to start over if the majority of newbie-friendly guild need other class or on legion side (mostly cuz i wanna try all class so i don't mind)

1. Go for at least 1 expert skill before armor. 

 

2. Yes but with your spare gold. 

 

3. No. Not until you get 1 character to level 32.

Expert skills are too expensive! I'm a newbie and I don't have Gold to buy the expert skill,and I really need them, I'm in Ayvondil and I can't leave the third city, because I don't have the skills to be a specialist!

Do daily quests in Mailat [T1 Avylondil] and also kill the "subjugated of the filth" mobs you see near T1 Avylondil and sell the signs of filth you get at the npc merchants for gold.
