Hey buddy, what happened is just result of the ingenious plan of a very bored mind. When charmer dies, the dog remains alive. However the skills is reset, so it's technically possible to summon several dogs. But this shouldn't be an issue, because no one is, normally, willing to die on purpose for this to happen.
