Any ideas about this build?

Okay, so i've been thinking about this lately, and just now i write this down.

 

Skill Build: 5 Purify 5 Aura 3 FoJ and 3 Heal. (or 5 purify 5 aura 5 heal or 5 foj, still thinking which would be better for party/solo purposes)

 

Equips: At lv15 use full Berengar's Revenge set with BG 1h mace/shield, amulet, belt, cape and rings, and at lv18 use killing whisper with doom 1h mace/shield.

 

My general thoughts for paladin is, as a tank it sucks, since you must use 2h for more damage, but if you do so, you miss the good astral of 1h mace and the def/block/hp regen of the shield. And with full bg revenge set, you get good critical, which helps with the additional healing, and good all-around stats.

 

Well, it's unfinished for now, i'll edit later.

 

Post your thoughts/comments on what i should revise  :good:

or something like that, Tanks aren't meant for damage.. they are meant to take damage so others dont. So obviously the damage for a paladin isn't going to be that amazing.

 

2h for weak stuff.

mace/shield for tanking.

What i said, paladin isnt that good for a tank, a bladedancer can outdamage a paladin, and with 1h mace/shield you'll need Persuasion at lv5, wasted skill.

 

 

So im using lightweight armor for more critical, meaning more overal damage in a party with a bladedancer tanking. You get critical for healings too, useful.

What he said 2h for weak stuff mace shield tank I have 5 aura 5 heal 5 purifyfoj I use as damage buff and saw no difference in damage for any skill level solo I am good I never have to stop because I can actually heal weak for pvp but great as backup healer and tank you are more versatile than any class but not a specialist at anything it is the nature of paladins.  To make a good tank 5 foj for dam reduction 5 pursuede 5 aura good of a tank as any bd. But you lose versatility

What would you think of a full lv18 killing whisper with 1h mace/shield and astral enchs/amulet/rings for a backup damage dealing unit?

that's exactly how I have my jewelry it's all Astral works great

 

 

Other than the jewelery, i mean use full leather armor for more critical, meaning more damage as SECOND damage dealer and with already one tank in party. How is that?

My idea is:

 

 

Paladin as main party tank: 2h axe/mace and heavy armor, astral rings but no amulet.

 

 

Paladin as 2nd tank: 1h mace/shield and leather armor mixed with heavy, full astral.

 

 

Paladin as DPS: 1h mace/shield and full leather armor, all bumped to damage.

 

 

Paladin as DPS/Support heal: 1h mace/shield and full leather armor, but astral jewelery.

 

 

Hope it seems good, still thinking.

So what are the astral jewellery I mean what are the best suited for us coz astral items have some moon or dark or sun magic which is useless for us

 

 

Rings are obvious lv17 ones, Abyss Zealot Garnet Signet. Amulet, is Medalion Of Astral Whirpool, lv18 one with astral and dodge, then it's the cape, which you can just use priest/shaman one if you want, or go for parry/dodge one. Then it's just 1h mace with enchant if you wish.

ammm i made my paladin to be a perfect tank  and ofc it do suck in pvps...

Hmm, not bad...mind me asking, what did you use at lv15 for the first time? and then second? I am thinking of 5 aura and 5 purify at lv14, but i can change my mind if it's worthy..

the best setup can be 5 5 1 1 5 (just my opinion.

 

i used 2  ducking book of oblivion for my shit setup but sometimes it feels awesome when people heal like 320+ ;D when i m in

 

for 5 aura its all ur choice coz i havent found any use when u r alone.

Didn't it got fixed in the last patch? Like, now it is doing astral damage? :P or you're just sarcastic? xd either way, i'll do it 3, because 5 is mainstream.  :good:

astral damage is done when we do foj+purification.

and if u have lvl 3 foj then u ll have to press purification immediately after foj or else u lose ur chance to do astral damage.

even though there is no such thing as astral defence ,still ur damage ll vary at different mobs and players..

the damage ll be slightly more than half of total astral .

I always combo FoJ and Purify so it's okay with me xd and plus, try to do purify the exact moment FoJ dissapears, you'll see the DoT still works there ;)

I dont know about being sucky at pvps. maybe in arena because I have no resistance to elf damage types.

My most difficult MC class to kill is rogues followed closely by shamans.

Any MC that rely on shadow damage are easy for me. shadow resist over 1k.

Rogues I have to get really lucky on crits to kill if theyre level 18 or over.

shamans I can kill about half and half. hopps is my most difficult shaman to face. its mainly because he border hops really fast though. lots of shamans are toast if I catch them in the open.

maybe sucky in arena against fellow elves but not sucky fighting MC at all with shadow resistance. I have 5 aura 5 heal and 5 purify.

Barbs it seems to depend entirely on their gear. I have klilled level 20 barbs easily (because I outgear them) or they have killed me easy (because they out gear me.) or I have had even matches with barbs that take us both to nothing.

Question which i need answer ASAP.

 

 

Okay, i have boots/gloves of BG Endurance, and Boots of BG Guard. Now someone wants to trade BG Guard gloves for BG Endurance gloves, and i wonder which will be more useful if im using all-round. I was thinking Endurance for 2h and tanking, and Guard for 1h tanking. Any ideas on what should i do? Should i just buy it to have both?

5 aura 5 heal 5 purify comes into its on during 5 man arena and open world pvp. I discovered the 5 man arena only recently and have been the last man standing on my team in 2 events and won. out of 5 five man fights (random) we have won 4 of them. two of which were close and It was down to myself and one other. we were not in a preformed team so I was healing 200 below normal on other people. I dont have the burst damage needed to be really good at twos but in the 5 mans the extra survivability really seems to make a difference.  the longer the fight the better this build I would say. my equipment is all amped level 15 arena gear still saving for champion gear. but 5 man arena is going to be my new favorite.

for farming use 5purify, 5aura, 5heal. with a good build u can solo some bosses on inselnort.

always with shield n mace.

in group farming if no other tank use axe n shield.

war n arena 2handed weapon.

pvp depend on enemy...

SO what I think is really paladins cannot be best at 1v1 but when it comes to a party arena paladins might prove useful with aura and foj (so don't take to your palys to pvp cave :lol:) they are not dps class they are not healer class not the best tanking class, all mixed up and totally messed :bad:
