We are in need of this, war in cave like every 20mins ..

Ikr. Hopefully we can get an official response for this. One would think a 100 votes would get that kind of attention.

( 99 at the time of this post   )

You will see me less and less in pvp cave now days. Iv just given up on a fun social pvp area until its made officially and safe.

VOTING WILL BE LOCKED AFTER WE HAVE GAINED A HUNDRED ( 100 ) VOTES. :)

Here is a better idea.Pvp island: Has war zone (free killing without challenge, just slaughter zone. Hardcore pvp. Big empty waste land with corpses and bones on the floor).Has a coliseum where you can have challenge option, works on sentinel or legion. Also put 3 colosseums beside each other because 1 would be to crowded.Everyone has white name, but if you challenge someone both of you see each other as red name.Respawn statute few steps from each zone (war or coliseum).Have hot air ballon in each town that takes you to pvp island for 1 gold. This is better than the cave idea because the respawn issue is resolved and has a war coliseum too.100% free. And you people who say no problem if pay tickets, think again. How many fights do people have each day. That would cost them million gold eventually. As for why devs would make this. It might entertain their bored players with nothing to do and prevent them from quiting. And overall it will make everyone happier so less quiting.

So boring in warspear :bad: and when this pvp (maybe)  arrives in some update, (like 7.0 or something) it will cost a fortune of mcoins  maybe some day, warspear will be a game instead of a shop ...-_-

Thank you for the suggestion, we appreciate it, it was already discussed here several times but for now it's out of question.

There are some really good ideas posted here. But I was thinking and I know that devs wont do anything about adding a real pvp system any time soon "its out of the question for now". So if nothing happens anytime soon, and we don't get a real in-game pvp update, what can we do to make a difference in our own situation? What ideas can we come up with to make a positive change in our player made pvp cave/location for now? I have some ideas listed below, it's the best i can come up with.

  • Changing the location may work. A bigger more open area would be a lot better for spotting the noob war starters. Being in such a tight enclosed cave its hard to see/know who is intentionally trying to start a war or cheating/assisting in pvp. But a bigger more open area would be more clearer and visible to see who is the trouble maker. If this makes any sense to you, for now until the never to come pvp update I would like to suggest we go to the ghost village for pvp. Its a large area, more visible. Our factions can stand on opposite walls to keep down the stand around clutter that trouble makers like to hide in.
  • A list of trusted pro pvp fighters. If your on this list this would indicate that you can not be involved in any wars that take place in pvp cave. When you enter pvp cave you are no longer a part of a faction but a solo player interested only in pvp. This of course sounds crazy but if we really want to make a change in our pvp situation then it starts from the inside of the player. I know your thinking i'm a paladin, who cares about paladins right, but I could easily be a really good rouge tomorrow and your friend if I wanted too. I'm not a paladin, i'm just like you, just picked a different game side. So trusting you is what I am willing to do. Here on the forum we talk and we come together right, so when we are in pvp cave and i'm standing next to you and we cant talk there is no reason for things to be any different. We all must admit to ourselves there are many disturbers of our same faction, and if we want to have good, more interesting satisfying pvp battles we need to stand against them. In faction chat, call them out. When a noob disturber keeps killing/attacking you then just kill them and trust that the other opposite faction players on the pro list wont do  shit about it because we share a common interest.
I haven't been to pvp cave for some time due to all the disturbing going on. And I feel a little bad about it because I know good players like frostblade and rominita like going pvp with paladins, or a least a paladin that can survive long enough for them to have more enjoyment at pvp.

*These suggestions aren't solutions to our current pvp problems, just something to hold us over until we get that pvp update.

and why are you so postive about having a real 1vs1 pvp option out arena ever :( ?

they never fixed even most important bugs for 2years now why would they make that option?

for examble the cencle button in amp and use items

till now it never EVER worked and the resuilts of that was prettey big from people lossing sd weps to a guy eating with no reason

but no they didnt evem bother fixing it they were busy encreasimg signs price from 47-49mcoin to 54-56mcoin and encreasing mcoins prices in several countries trying to fool players to the lvl as azeby once said

"they are milking us for money"

My posting isn't about having devs do anything for us. My posting is about us doing something for us . I think you should read what I wrote again. I'm talking about us (the players) taking this pvp matter into our own hands and stop waiting on devs to do something. If we worked hard enough I think we could uniform a decent pvp setup. But this would mean a lot of work and i'm not too sure how far you guys are willing to go to get what you want. Like for instance recording videos of pvp disturbers/trouble makers and posting it here in the forum. Making a list of players that sabotage pvp and create war. Make a thread with a list of trusted players that work together at spotting trouble and coming to the forum and bringing it to everyones attention.

Maybe like a forum pvp clan, where we work together at making the pvp cave better, by discussing bad players and so forth. And while in the game work towards talking the disturbers out of their bad habits. I believe with enough high level respected players teaming up and doing this on a regular basis this could work.

When a new pvp disturber shows his ass in pvp cave we spread the word to the team of that faction/game side and each player takes the time to send instant messages to that disturber, telling him to stop. If one disturber got messages from 100 different players I think he would stop going to pvp cave and disturbing. Not to mention I don't think he can add 100 players to his ignore list. Again this would mean hard work from both sides mc/forsaken and firstborn/chosen.

Actions we can take:

  • Inform the disturber that he is being recorded and the video will be posted on the forum for all to see. And actually take the time to record him disturbing and post it on the forum. Hard work I know.
  • Many players private message disturber telling him to stop. With enough people jumping down your throat you will eventually stop.
  • Offer a one time reward to a disturber, give them a sign or some gold. Trust me, they wont forget and they may even come to respect you and what you say. Most disturbers would like a free gift from one of us. I have given to people before and they up having a lot more respect for me. We can make this difference in the disturbers attitudes. (in other words a nice pvp cave isn't going to be free).
I know what your thinking, "Gabraunth is crazy", maybe I am crazy for posting something like this but when will we take action. I believe we are all mature people capable of pulling this off.

Maybe I am going to far.

Yeah I know they wont do anything, so I'm suggesting that we step up and handle business.

We have the power to make a difference, but it comes down to how bad we really want it and what and how far we are willing to go to get what we want.

I'ts an idea.. but it has its own problems in itself... i would prefer too see this permanently fixed by devs using an idea such as this one.  :unknw:

I think the devs have not gotten the message yet.. so ill be re-opening the poll.

New added idea :)

Another idea i would like to add to this is an instant respawn on the spot after a challenge is over. Nobody like to walk and having a respawn statue in Nadir never was a good idea.

What's the difference between having a respawn statue down there instead of in nadir?

FYI... i said revive on the spot after a completed dual... not an actual respawn statue.

This option saves people from walking and doesnt make nadir a general respawn location.

And to dual someone will count as nothing, just a normal pvp, I'd like if you move to another area like if you go to arena, except this is 1x1, and you don't get any points for a win/loss, thus people will still do arena for the rewards (in case the devs are afraid of loosing arena sales)

I Thought of that.. but many like to go to pvp cave to socialise and watch people pvp. I Learnt some great things by watching some pvp matches

There is one thing however I would like you to add to that and I would like it to.be called a Duel. IN a duel both players can wager any ammount they want. Also while in the cave that you just described let Mc and elf be able to talk to each other. I think only then this will be the biggest hit minigame ever created for warspear.  Who will agree?  8)

I think gab has the right idea. Even if devs do try to make this pvp area, we still have our current problems in pvp cave. It is going to take a lot of hard work and all, but it would be well worth it.

There was a time in pvp cave where us elves were able to kill those disturbers, with players like timekat, mygirll, notawolf, larax, zethu, epicdeath, darkrainz, sonder, marceline(spelt that wrongly sorry), lordyasir, and many rangers who i forgot your names, etc were working together and killing those disturbers until it turned into a full out war.

Now that these players aren't on much, or go to pvp cave as often, the distubers came in and took over.

We need to start over again and get elves interested in pvp again so that we will try to protect it against disturbers/gangers/jumpers. We did it once, we can do it again! :good:

One thing i don't agree on is giving a disturber a "reward" for doing what they shouldn't be doing in the first place. It may just encourage others to take up on disturbing once and quit just for the free stuff.

The reason I said to give a reward if you choose to is because I know that there are many people from many different countries with many different ways of communicating, and seeing things. We don't know the players (disturber) personally, and sometimes a disturber may feel like "all pvp players are rich ass holes, so I'm gonna disturb the hell out of them". So, maybe giving them something or showing you care about them in some way is enough for them to feel like they are apart of the game and not just a nobody. I have been chewed out before, (we all have), but instead of talking shit back to them, I will simply say something along these lines "I'm sorry if I hurt you in any way, if you need any help let me know, I'm your friend", and then I will add them to my friends list. After this, I can see a very big difference in their attitudes, the way they communicate, and so on. Sometimes, just sometimes, this is all it takes, and believe it or not it can be a very powerful tool towards a better gaming experience. Sorry for the deep dramatic explanation  , I'm going through some personal things right now. Anyways, just my opinion. Carry on.

Hmm you maybe right about that...  showing that you care about the person does make a difference, cause they would feel touched and motivated to be a better player. I'm only concerned that greedy people will advantage of your kindess beause it has happened to me many times before. :bad:

Yes i like the idea of wagers. Maybe that could be an extended feature. Right now though.. id just be happy if they add an idea just like the one i provided to the game.

I think gab has the right idea. Even if devs do try to make this pvp area, we still have our current problems in pvp cave.

Just note that the idea that I have provided means that nobody can attack each other in the provided pvp area, without successfully "challenging" somebody.

Many players like myself would love an official PVP area besides arena. And yes many are content with the bat ridden cave.

I would like to suggest to have a doorway in Nadir to lead to an underground "Great hall of fighters". A large room minus mobs to pvp our fellow players.

A place that is neutral and nobody can be attacked without a challenge.

In the great hall the party request option should be removed and replaced by "challenge", the challenge request working the same as the party request.. where the person being challenged can choose either yes or no.

If the challenge is accepted, the two participants shall be able to turn hostile towards each other.

Anybody like this idea? Whats your thoughts?

EDIT:

Some things have changed since this topic was posted.

  • Our test dummy bats have been removed, on which i personally like.. even though i miss hitting them.
  • The atmosphere has changed dramatically inside our current unofficial pvp cave. More unlearned players, jumpers, gankers and abusive behaviour (based upon the old players established code of conduct).
I would also like to add the idea of having test dummy's placed ( just like at new character starting points ), to show other players our power  :spiteful:

Another idea i would like to add to this is an instant respawn on the spot after a challenge is over. Nobody like to walk and having a respawn statue in Nadir never was a good idea.

YES YES DBORN YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D:d:d:d:d:

Make dark circle 30second cool down like death knight threads well see how many pro warlocks out there to ruin cave and game in general. Theres seriously no pont unless your high amp weapon and lady luck helps you. Even a fish could play lock
