why is paladin using axe?

Paladin with astral mace is better than paladin with axe

An arena 1h mace without amp and enchant do more damage than an arena 1h axe without amp and enchant.

I feel no need to use a 1 hand axe as mace gives more damage and 'astral'(or whatever you call it) but still confused between 2 hand or 1 hand weapons, coz I feel that its already hard to reach a ranged class, so if you get to them you should be able to kill them fast, this is what I think. . . correct me

I guess it depends in who you are facing.

sometimes def is better than atk.. sometimes offense better

Would have been so good if you can see your opponent in arena before you start the fight so you could decide a small strategy in quick seconds. . . . only 1 map gives this feature and I see most of the battles pretty organized in that map.
