Question

Guys i read at a topic that cd reduction don't decrease the cd of the skills but increase how fast they recharge .-.

I don't really understand that

can someone explain it to me and tell me a mathmatic thing ( idk what it called in english sorry ) to get how many sec. left ?

i am looking for 72% cd on a shaman totems recharge time is 40 sec. how will it be so ? i was getting it like

40 * 0.72 = 28.8        40 - 28 = 12 seconds to recharge

can someone tell me the right way to get it ?

Cooldown Enhancement:

You skill normally recharges in 20 sec

If u enhance your boots (pretend it is a crystal 5% skill cooldown reduction)

Your skill will recharge in 19 secs (20 - 1(5%)) = 19

lets suppose you also enhance your helm/hood 5% skill cooldown reduction again:

Your skill will recharge in 18.05 secs (19 - 9.5(5%)) = 18.05

And so on...

Debuff:

Your skill nornally recharges in 20 secs

Let's suppose a necro casts a mental pit on you,

Suppose it increases your skill cooldown in 20%

So...your skill will recharge in 24 secs (20 + 4(20%)).

Is that are you talking about?

I'm drunk so pls forgive me

As i said:

Your skills recharges in 20 secs

You enhances a ring with crystal cooldown reduction (5%)

20 - 1(5%) =19 secs

After a hood with crystal cooldown reduction (5%)

19 - 9.5(5%)=18.05 secs

After a ring with crystal cooldown reduction (5%)

18.05 - 0.92(5%)= 17.13 secs

Another ring with crystal cooldown reduction (5%)

17.13 - 0.85(5%)= 16.28 secs

And finally a staff with crystal cooldown reduction (5%)

16.28 - 0.81(5%)=15.46 secs

That happens bcuz you enhances or equips items one by one

If i reduced all the 25% straight...the result would be 15%

But idk wt happened to this guy...it may be a bug....or i'm saying BS

the easiest way to calculate:

your time = base cooldown time / (1+ your cooldown in %)                           [remember 1%=0,01]

example:
your CD = 25%
base cooldown time of skill = 100s
100/(1,25)= 80s

answer is very easy, its not bug:

CD 51,2%

base cd = 100 s (for example)

100s/1,512 = 66,13s

100s - 66,13s = 33,87s
so 51,2% CD parameter reduces skill cooldown about 34%
