CRIT or PENETRATION?

I've started this brb and ask myself: it is worth to build critical instead armor penetration? because the first one do not is aplyied to all atacks, while the penetration is. What I mean is that we need to have a lot of atk speed for crit worth the cost. But still i see some guides where guys recomend to build it.

i see crit as worth having only when you have a lot of it.

My ranger has 35% crit and it feels very good. 

While if my ranger only had 10%, another 3 % woukdnt feel like much.

 

Penetration is a very good stat to have at least 10% of so that you can negate the hardest bits of armour that most mobs and players have. Penetration is also much better for flat damage builds.

 

Just my opinion.

I think you can max both, there is few moments where you need to decide between pene and crit.

For pvp critical is useless unless you are a healer. In pve critical is pretty THICC

Also critical is random AF. My hunter has around 43% and it feels like i have 25-30

im not an expert but i think building pene is better than crit for a barb,

bcuz barb depend on dealing few hits with a high dmg  and not the dps however if you making the barb for pve getting crit can be more useful than pene, otherwise getting pene for pvp is the way to go as getting in a crit hit is almost impossible .
