The update 6.1 is coming closer and closer, and apart from new skills, changes in existing ones, new aggression system and dynamic events, it will bring one more major thing that we haven't covered yet. It's time to do it and present new in-game items - relics. They will completely change the existing system of character development.

 
As for the update itself, it will be released at the beginning of the next week, so let's be patient and learn more about how Arinar is going to change in the near future.

Relics

Relics is a new type of items that you can use to create additional skill bonuses and make unique combinations out of hundreds of possible choices. You may not only increase your fighting strength, but also create characters with absolutely new roles like tanks with debuffs or healers with control.

The update will bring relics of more than 40 unique types with their own effects. These effects may be of different types themselves: attacking, defensive, enhancing, as well as special ones that add multiple bonuses at once (will be included in the game in one of the future updates).

Apart from type differentiation, relics also vary in terms of quality and rarity (common, rare and unique).
Common relics may be used starting from level 10, while rare and unique relics - from level 1. The quality of relics affects the skill efficiency, success chance and duration.

At first stage you will be able to add these effects to all basic skill. Shield that heals? No problem! Lighting that stuns an enemy? Here you are. Insect swarm that increases the chance of blocking? Well, not that (and why would someone want it anyway?).

Each skill has a limited number of available relics, as well as limited number of slots for them. This number of slots depends on the number relic types that may be used on a skill, thus it may vary from 2 to 4. It's impossible to use two relics of the same type on one skill. All information about how the relic can be used and what effect you will eventually get from it is contained in its description.

The majority of relic effects have a chance of working, so randomness still plays a huge role in each fight. And enhancing a skill with a relic has a 100% chance of success.

Relic bonuses

Basic skills may be enhanced with almost all positive and negative effects that exist in the game: increasing of attack speed, stun, bleed, poisoning, sleep, fear, shield, increasing of defense, decreasing of strength, slowdown, critical hit, energy draw, etc. Apart from them, there will be quite a few new effects, for example, increasing of skill usage range, increasing of the number of targets or chance of momentary cooldown.

You will be able to check the relics that were used on a skill through the menu: Menu - Character - Skills - Relics.

Where you can get relics

Common defensive and attacking relics drop from bosses and mini-bosses. Common enhancing relics may be acquired in Dungeons of light and normal difficulties and also as the reward for winning in dynamic events - new in-game daily event. Unique enhancing relics may drop in Dungeons of hard and heroic difficulties, as well as from raid bosses. Rare defensive and attacking relics will be available in the Miracle Shop.
And, of course, all relics may also appear and be bought from the Second-Hand Dealer.

Whar the actual duck. What a time to be alive :D

 

Quesion! Can you farm spirit of gray hollow/chupacabra and generally ever yellow crowned monster/mini boss?

Or only a few?

I don't even have completed drop list yet, will see everything a bit later

Wow awesome update! Thanks. We will see now a lot of new fighting styles :*

Just a question, will we able to test this runes on skills in the test server? (And will it opens back again?)

And 1 more thing, will there be an item to remove previous runes so we can try another ones??

 

You just replace your current relic with another relic. Old one disappears

What a huge update... Awesome! I like it, it's gonna change a lot.

Very good thing that you specified relics to skills, so we don't see random OPness everywhere.

but im happy, because i see that aigrind dont forgot us... they still searching ways to make a game better. Now i can say that they know the nostalgic game they have

I'm gonna love it in PvE, but yeah, Idk how to feel about it in PvP.

i think its a new chance to see who is pro at pvp haha not just amping

What is the different of Common, Rare, Unique Relic?

Is only chance of activation, or the effect also?

Example: Common and Rare Relic only give 1 effect, like in the SS on top. and the Unique relic got greater effect and dmg bonus, etc.
