do necro need lvl up Poison Spit?

i hv a necro lvl 20 ,and my skills build is 

spit     5

snake 1

sleep  3

shield 3

heal    5

+

infection 1

 

i study infection recently and found it a very usefull skill. To make  infection  lvl 4 ,id sacrifice  skill points  in spit . Make it  21335+4

Meanwhile,my friends  told me  their  spit  lvl 1  and   shield   lvl 5 ,but i think sheild lvl 3 is enough....................................................

nightmare indeed is good at pvp .

my friends  said  shield  at least  should be lvl 5 ,why?

Shield is not important, before I delete my previous necro I don't use shield Coz dmg reduction suck and paying 150hp was ridiculous. But now what should I say shield is good to lv 18 later u should invest in other skill, high cd with mental pit should works better then other skills to protect necro.

Shield is suck this depend on ur magic too if ur magic low dont use it

About the question, it might be worth to invest 1 or 2 point in the poison, but it's not the necro's major skill ^^

Adding points in spit is a bad idea, the damage boost on each level is very small (20 damage for each level up).
