Hey, i know some of you also rooted your phones. What did you do else?

for example, i didnt only root my phone but accidently killed it by deleting the android system on it. Of course i fixed it after that.

I installed cyanogenmod 11.

i wreckt my phone again trying to get lollipop. Couldnt install 12, couldnt install paranoid android 5.1, so i had to settle with the stock lollipop, which fortunately worked.

so yeah, anyone also experienced anything like that :D

Basically everything what android 6.0 has to offer right now :P

Well not completely, but you get full control of your phone, you can flash "lighter" Operating Systems, you may say goodbye to your warranty... :)

Legacy begins upon buying an Android

Irresisitible urge to become a god emerges

Guardian, Freedom, all these apps sound so good

Heavenly "Root" appears, the gates are open

To you, stock ROM becomes crap, so you flash a new one

Smoothness, no bloat and fast speed are even better, but

When you hear of all this danger, when you get tired of this

Irritated and bored you go back to that sweet stock ROM

To be honest, these amazing apps were never useful either

Clean phone back in the past was still good too

Hence why you unroot your phone and go back to casualness

And still, screw "innovative" Apple

Yeah the thing is a little low-end, already have it for almost 2 years. Planning on rooting/modifying this one when I get a new phone.

I have rooted my Galaxy Y, for me it worked well, even CyanogenMod. When I got my Nexus 5, I rooted that too, worked again fine. For Nexus I use root to update OS before th official release, to use a root file explorer, to be able to use apps which require SuperUser (for example screen capture aps), and to get an absolute control over my phone. I can use fake IPs if I want, I can test my phone in different situations, etc. Also it is possible to actually set everything to default, so that warranty doesn't get lost... And if it does? Who cares, phones don't usually get rekt. Or at least mine don't :D

Should I root my low-end dipshit phone (Galaxy Fame)?

I have no idea. Nexus has the capacity for it, storage, RAM, etc. I suggest you to make a research on the Net.

2,05 gigs ROM, 1 gig usable.

455 mb RAM.

Single-core Cortex A7 999MHz.

No idedicated GPU.

Stuttering.

Conclusion: Dipshit.

Hello! I have a rooted Note 4. Well, I'm kinda Android freak. I'm using my own custom stockrom right now, with CPU overclock (3.1ghz) and GPU overclock (800mhz). Damn, this phone is beast! I am waiting for CM13 right now.

That shit is more powerful than my laptop: cpu 1,7GHz, gpu core 625MHz, gpu shaders 1250MHz, vram running at 900-1800MHz.

The only thing in which my laptop beats your phone is the memory :spiteful:

Using Touchwiz now, its debloated (means that I have uninstalled all no-needed preinstalled applications, over 200 I think) and ofc its tweaked as @#€% :D

I was actually planning to root my device (samsung tablet),

but the fact that you can cause damage by doing it wrong,

caused me to not do it.

The price of wrecking my device just to be able

to use those screen cams is way too high.

I normaly jump right into such stuff when it comes to android,

but sorta don't want to take the risk this time.

Well, I have experience from Android for many years, and I havent broken any phones yet. I have soft bricked my phones for million times but its easy to fix again :) It has many risks, yes, but if you do things right, the risk is so ridiculously small. But after all, its up to you if you root your device or not :)

Nay its ez pz

And imna annoy u with screen-vids then

Tried to root it by using a old notebook, it wanted

to connect to the net and stuff, as I know that

most of such stuff gets restricted by anti-virus programs

I rather aborted.

Is there an offline root aviable? Every root-app I tried

always tries to connect to servers or whatever.

I guess that would be more reliable, and the notebook

seems like it's not able to connect to my tathering hot-spot,

so an online root isn't possible anyways.

You just need to install the right libraries in the system folder of your phone, and the rooting programs search for them then %)

[iNSTALL_FAILED_ALREADY_EXISTS] You already have the root files in your phone,i think you have to completely reboot your phone to do the root succesfully

It reboots automatically, so I don't think that that would be a very big problem.

I ran it several times more with the superuser uninstalled, simply gave me a "failure". It rebooted my phone, still no root.

Wow a thread for android freaks :D

I contribute to this thread with my rooted Galaxy Note 4 running with Paranoid 5.1 hehe. Flashed this phone at least a couple hundred times lol

My old phone is the Galaxy S5 rooted with StocKK and Knox 0x0 :)

(Don't know what Knox is? Well never had a newer Galaxy device, eh? Basically some bullshit Samsung implemented in the phone which normally gets triggered to 0x1 if you root/flash etc)

Don't buy a Galaxy device if you are planning to root/flash/modify your phone
