Rework the War & Lifescroll system.

Featured Replies

Hello everyone 🩷

I would like to suggest a rework of the current War system because, in its current state, it feels far too pay-to-win.

Winning the War grants 3 stars, which provide around +10% Resilience and +10% Damage. These buffs have a huge impact on 100 vs 100 Mermen GvG, giving the winning alliance a massive advantage before the battle even begins.

The biggest issue is that War is not decided by strategy or teamwork. Instead, it is mostly decided by which side spends more money. Players can spam Life Scrolls on the flag over and over, making the outcome heavily dependent on cash rather than skill or coordination.

This problem is not limited to War. The same Life Scroll spam is also common during

raids, where players repeatedly revive to overwhelm the enemy. This gives a huge advantage to the side that can afford to spend the most, making many large-scale battles feel more like a contest of wallets than player skill.

Possible solutions:

  • Add a cooldown to Life Scrolls during raids (for example, a player cannot use another Life Scroll for 30–60 seconds).

  • Rework War into a more strategy-based event where teamwork, positioning, and tactics matter more than spending money.

  • Move War from Wednesday and Friday to Monday and Thursday, so it wont impact on Mermen GvG.

  • Decrease War buff %10 resil/dmg to %5

  • There should be a limit on the use of lifescrolls in war, a maximum of 5 per player.

Im playing Warspear Online over 10 years and game has always been most enjoyable when victory comes from good coordination and strategy. Reducing the impact of excessive Life Scroll usage would make Wars, raids, and GvGs much more balanced and enjoyable for everyone.

I understand that the developers may worry about losing revenue if they reduce the effectiveness of Life Scrolls. However, I believe the opposite would happen.

A fairer and more balanced game keeps players engaged for a much longer time. When battles are decided by strategy, teamwork, and skill instead of spending, more players are likely to stay active, recommend the game to others, and continue supporting it. In the long run, improving the competitive experience could strengthen both the player base and the game's overall success. 2Thumbs

Since you've written it yourself, you know exactly the reason why they've chosen said days for the war and why they'll hardly nerf the Life Scroll spam system, for it is one of the most important ways to assure income (maybe the 3rd? After Signs and Stams? No idea really, just guessing). I want to be frank with you: I doubt such idea will be taken into account - at least for the Life Scrolls part - but I do agree that war deserves some love in terms of update, in the same measure Norlant Swamps would, in my opinion
