ThaiVN 0 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 1. Introduction Hello everyone, Today I will guide you through everything about the Charmer class, including different stages of the game, playstyles and tips, based on my experience after several years of playing Charmer. This guide is for reference only. If you find it useful and reasonable, feel free to apply it. Who knows — Charmer might become your favorite class. 2. Overview Charmer is a very versatile and low-cost class, especially in the early game. You don’t need to invest too much in equipment at the beginning. Its skill set allows the character to survive easily. Charmer can be built in different ways: Support / Healer Damage Dealer Tank (not very strong compared to dedicated tank classes) Advantages: Spoiler Easy to play High damage Flexible playstyles Disadvantages: Spoiler Summoned monsters have relatively low HP Survivability is not very good without Rage Depends heavily on summons and mechanics Styles: Spoiler Charmer can use: Cloth armor (for magical/support builds) Heavy armor (for physical builds or more survivability) For weapons, Charmer can choose between: Mace + Shield → Physical build (higher survivability, stable damage) Staff → Magical build (support, ranged playstyle, scaling with magic damage) This flexibility allows you to adapt your build depending on your playstyle or situation, whether you prefer: Close-range combat with more durability Or long-range support with safer positioning Charmer often provides top damage compared to other classes, especially in recent updates like Guild Raids and Almahad Map 5 dungeons, where Charmers are increasingly important and play a core role in teams and guilds. 3. Skills, Relics, and Talents There are already many posts explaining skill stats in detail, so I won’t go too deep into that. Instead, I will list the most important skills, relics, and talents for Charmer. 3.1 PvE – Physical Build (Mace + Shield, Damage) Base Skills: Spoiler Call 5/5 Weakness 5/5 Dark Prism 3/5 Expert Skills: Spoiler Otherworldly Blessing 4/4 Demonic Pact 4/4 Summoner Skill 4/4 Eye of Darkness 4/4 Remaining 1 skill point → Dark Prism or Dead Man’s Knowledge Why Eye 4/4? All classes need Accuracy to increase hit rate, especially in Almahad Map 5. Eye 4/4 gives you 18% accuracy. Why skip healing skills (Combat Healing, Chaotic Assistance)? Because in a physical build, these skills are almost useless in PvE. The healing is very low. So how does a physical Charmer survive? → explained in later sections. 3.2 PvE – Magical Build (Staff, Support) Base Skills: Spoiler Call 5/5 Weakness 5/5 Combat Healing 3/5 Expert Skills: Spoiler Chaotic Assistance 4/4 Otherworldly Blessing 4/4 Demonic Pact 4/4 Summoner Skill 4/4 Remaining 1 skill point → Combat Healing or Dead Man’s Knowledge 3.3 PvP – Physical Build High damage but easier to counter. Base: Spoiler Call 5/5 Oppression 5/5 Combat Healing 3/5 (or Weakness 3/5) Expert: Spoiler Chaotic Assistance 4/4 Otherworldly Blessing 4/4 Demonic Pact 4/4 Summoner Skill 4/4 Remaining 1 skill point → Combat Healing or Otherworldly Fire Because this is PvP, you need self-healing. 3.4 PvP – Magical Build Same skill setup as PvP physical above. Highly recommended, but depends on your playstyle. 3.5 Relics For PvE, the best relic for Charmer (and some other classes): Icy Relic of Cruelty Spoiler → Call skill deals 100% critical hit under Rage buff → Your summons (Call skill) will deal much more damage This relic alone is enough. Use this on Dark Prism to active rage: For PvP, you will need additional high-tier relics: Captivity, Reaction, Apathy, Mirrored Dominance Spoiler 3.6 Talents Physical Build → Middle Branch (Fearsome Horde) Spoiler → Call skill summons 4 dogs Magical Build → Right Branch (Spawn of Gloom) Spoiler → Call skill summons octopus, lower damage but higher HP → High Skill Cooldown Conclusion: PvE → Physical build (middle branch) PvP → Magical build (right branch) (recommended) 3.7 Almahad Talents One important thing to consider is Almahad Talent Trees: Assassin → PvP-focused talents Adventure → PvE-focused (only works on monsters) Mage → Balanced between PvE and PvP From my experience testing damage on bosses and players, Mage guild is the best choice overall. Mage last talent: Spoiler +5% inherited attributes per stack (max 3 stacks = 15%) Not a flat increase → scales with current stats Example: You have 40% penetration +15% of 40% = +6% → Total = 46% Note: Spoiler Charmer summons inherit all stats except: Rage Life Steal Skill Cooldown Skill Damage Attack Speed Stun So you will have free 15% many stats: Penetration, Piercing, Attack Strength, Accuracy,... Season talents (Spring, Horror, Snow) → unlock all 4. Early Game 4.1 Early Game (Level 1–18) Spoiler As mentioned, Charmer is strong without heavy investment. Recommended build: Physical build (Mace + Shield) Skills priority: Call 5/5 Combat Healing 5/5 This setup helps you: Complete quests faster Survive easily Equipment: Use quest rewards from NPC No need for expensive gear Any weapon/armor is fine at this stage Minions: Optional Use attack-type minions if available to speed up quests 4.2 Level 18–34 Spoiler At level 18, you unlock expert skills. Skill purchase order: Chaotic Assistance Summoner Skill Otherworldly Blessing ⚠️ Do NOT use Demonic Pact yet → It consumes too much energy regen and will limit your skill usage Gameplay focus: Continue quests Prepare for transition to your main build Equipment: Still use available gear from quests/dungeons No need to invest heavily yet 4.3 Level 34 Spoiler At this stage, you should: Farm dungeons regularly Start optimizing your build Reset skills using Book of Oblivion (section 3) Now you choose your main playstyle: PvE Physical PvE Magical PvP (Physical or Magical) 5. Equipment 5.1 PvE Physical Build Below is a reference build. There are many ways to build, as long as you focus and reach these stats: Penetration ≥ 30% Skill Cooldown ≥ 70% Rage ≥ 20% Attack Strength ≥ 25% Life steal 20% (from 4 runes - cape amulet and 2 rings) Critical Hit Strength Spoiler Weapons → Attack Strength Cape & amulet → Attack Strength Rings & bracelets → You have some options, skill cooldown or rage Tomb rings/bracelets Tomb rings/bracelets in snow/anniversary event (recommended) Snow rings/bracelets Armor → You have some options, skill cooldown / rage / mix cloth Mermen set Belt: penetration and skill cooldown Almahad God's Temple heavy set (2 pieces, recommend helmet and boots because gloves don't have penetration stat) Snow rage set (2 pieces, helmet boots or chest gloves) Mermen (2 pieces, Sacred Sign set helmet boots or Invisible Knowledge set chest gloves) Note: You can mix 2 of them, if possible, use cloth mermen Mermen set bonus: “Crushing Will” → up to 30% Critical Damage 5.2 PvE Magical Build Spoiler Use Double Penetration Staff (Spring craft) More penetration → more cooldown (via right branch talent) Same gears/accessories as physical build, use magical damage instead of physical damage, use cloth gears for chest and gloves (increase more magical damage) 5.3 PvP Physical Build Spoiler Weapon: Spring mace (usable for both physical build PvE & PvP because Mage guild talent gives extra Ferocity) Arena shield Accessories: Contender accessories (no need greatness) in Arena shop If you reach 50–60% Resilience, use Resistance or Attack Strength bracelets (more damage) Armor: There are some options Full set greatness heavy gears Mix pieces greatness gears, heavy mermen gears, heavy catacomb gears Note: Greatness set bonus Skill Cooldown Depend on your budget, you can try mix them Set skill (active/passive): 5.4 PvP Magical Build Spoiler Weapon: Double penetration staff (Spring craft) or Stun staff (stun build) Accessories: Greatness Cape, Amulet and Rings in Arena shop Contender Bracelets (contender is cheaper than greatness, same magical damage amount) If you reach 50–60% Resilience, use Resistance or Stun bracelet (for stun build) Armor: Same as Physical build but you can use Cloth catacomb set (Silent Melody chest gloves) if you use stun build 6. Gameplay and Tips 6.1 Survival (Important) Spoiler As mentioned earlier, healing skills are weak for PvE Physical build. So how do you survive? Answer: RAGE - Killing enemies restores 15% max HP Combine with: AoE damage from summons Life Steal (~20%) is better than HP runes. HP rune → +600 fixed HP Life Steal → heals much more through combat Example: each successful auto-attack 2-4k, 20% of 2-4k = 400-800 HP, Dark Prism (3/5 or more) can deal 10k+ crit so it heals 2k+ HP 6.2 PvE Spoiler Best skill: Weakness → reduces boss defense, Call + Summoner → deal AoE damage Best survival stat: Rage Basic gameplay: Spam: Weakness Call Summoner Skill Chaotic Assistance (keep 3 stacks) Eye of Darkness (increase 18% accuracy) Use Otherworldly Fire and Dark Prism with Rage relic → keeps Rage active Advanced Tip (Not many players know): Spoiler Prepare a second gear tab with a staff (skip if you use magical build) Steps: Use Otherworldly Blessing Switch back to main physical build tab Use Call → Summons gain +25% Critical Damage Fight Bosses Tip: Spoiler Above 30% HP → use Cruelty relic Below 30% HP → switch to Ruthlessness relic deal 100% crit 6.3 PvP Spoiler Most important stat: Resistance Best skills: Oppression Otherworldly Fire (with talent “Darkness Embrace”) Stone Curse → Combine them (You need high Skill Cooldown) to keep enemies permanent stunned and unable to move Use frequently: Combat Healing Weakness → to activate strong relics: Captivity Reaction Apathy Mirrored Dominance When PvP healer classes such as Shaman, Druid → Use to reduce their healing gained Difficult matchups: Spoiler Mage Chieftain (Magical build) Problem: Summons have low HP (~3.9k) Enemy AoE kills them quickly Solution: Keep distance Maintain summons Switch to magical build if needed Magical build advantage: Long-range attacks Higher summon HP (~7.5k) 6.4 Advanced Mechanic Spoiler Summons count as “dead” when: Killed Expired Exceed summon limit → In serious fights, spam: Chaotic Assistance Call → to stack Mage talent (3 stacks) → much stronger summons 7. Minions Best choice: Pork Pillager Benefits: Increases damage Provides healing Reduces enemy defense Duration: 12 hours → use carefully Alternatives: Green Dragon: increase penetration stat Lizardman Priest: increase critical hit damage Spoiler 8. Consumables PvE Spoiler Low cost pots: Magister Witching Potion Use damage potions (10–15%), choose based on missing stats (e.g., Rage/Skill cooldown) The best potion is Fabled Potion of Lethality which increase 20% Critical Hit Strength Note: Critical Strength > Physical Damage > Attack Strength Use damage scrolls (10–20%) PvP Spoiler Lifeforce Potion → +60% healing Magnificent Scroll → defense + resistance Damage potions (10-15%, with skill cooldown or attack strength bonus) → Do not forget Soulwandering Potion (Jump), in case many enemies target you, use it These are cheap and easy to get → always use them in combat with enemies. 9. End In summary, Charmer is a very strong and worth-trying class. Flexible builds Strong and consistent damage Unique summoner gameplay It’s a great class for beginners but also very powerful in endgame if played correctly. There are many interesting mechanics to explore, and the gameplay is both classic (summoner style) and very engaging. Quote
