Can you think about why almost all the raid boss of the servers are controlled by elves?

My theory is that the people who more often gravitate towards the "evil" side in games are less co-operative on average, while the ones choosing to play the "good" side are more likely to get along for longer. But maybe that's nonsense

Because every time new players step into this game, they will be suggested to play the easy friendly budget class, and because most of the time they just follow their friends which mostly are from elf. Even if they somehow play mc first, sooner later they realize they chose the dead side, and that alone can hinder you from playing the game contents fully. It’s like playing the game in nightmare mode. The game already hard on its players in most of its ecosystem, so do yourself a favor. The game needs players to work. You can hope for a change, but don’t hope too much, things basically haven’t changed for years, no matter how many people complaining here on forum.

This is pretty accurate. Looking at the english discord for example, most of the times when new players come asking for advice, the first ones to answer usually are from elf side. I've probably had 50+ ppl from discord so far ask for a starter guild at eu elf, while also seeing many others offering help.

It's not a huge thing, but since mc side (atleast on the english side of things) seems to lack active people answering and helping, over time it does lead to more new people gravitating towards one side, which will just lead to an even larger gap in player numbers between the sides.

Yes, but when you think about those examples from the Discord server, majority of those have already picked their class on elf side. I think we can agree that often you see only Elf classes which are being asked about. There are very few cases when you see a very new guy asking to compare Elf and MC classes (in between which he is choosing) and he is going to end up picking MC over ELF.

I think we could count those new players that came asking for a build / skills / gears about MC classes on 2 hands.

Mc side will be uncrowded until something really good happens there.

Just like when chieftains were added to the game, tons of people poped up from nowhere, at least that happened on EU emerald where elves dominate.

The server become a even  fight between factions, In short  was much more active in terms of mass fights.

After the massive nerf of chieftains  the faction is kinda dead again even after reapers were added bcuz ofc the reaper is strong and fun to play  but is not worth it , not at the moment (rebalance may fix them)

Obviously chief is not the only class with AOE

But no other class have the same effectiveness

Ironically, when i played, people from the Legion side were a lot more friendly than the Sentinels

Not talking about friendliness. I'm talking about willingness to compromise to sustain long term co-operation. At least in EU mc side seems hilariously unable to do that

Eu mc is unable to do that bcz 80% of players are just alt characters from sentinel side. you can see this on the battle of Territories when curiously mc side becomes almost empty before start the war.

in sentinel side at least +30 of players stays not even in kamp riff but in legion camp!!, while the rest just waiting at kamp ghaspel for free buff.

That becomes a snowball where the "always win" side receives more attention from new players, and old ones too! eventually become boring staying in a empty side where you see everyday the same 20 ppl :dunno:

even myself made a seeker to at least have contact with other human beings.. okay that was a bit exaggerated...

Anyway, the end year statistics  tend to show more players that really is, probably its  also counting those low level bots and those lvl1 characters made to spy or to save a good nickname idk...

-First faction to choose from.

-Starting islands look more appealing.

-Elf side advertised more.

-Starting islands way easier. Try all 4 and you'll see the same.

-Elf have better control/ heal AOE mass battle skills. Which makes it hard when they have a pala wd bm in each party.

-Bd has been overpowered since 2013 and players know it won't be nerfed much.

-Seeker more fun and appealing than rogue.

- They add Kronus to "raid boss statistics " in the new year infographic, which is misleading. Most servers sentinels are winning raid bosses 100%.

-The side who continues to thrive population will continually get more OP raid books, level more guilds (globe and others) and it's impossible after some time.

-Kotuko on the Russian server is an OP mc guild with the best of the best and many book/ full talent , this server is different but all others are dominated by elves.  Can make an argument for BR server has a strong mc guild

-Have been telling devs this for years and they continue to do nothing.  Which is why mass players have left game (MC discouraged and elf bored)

-If something doesn't change there will be too many high level guilds with skills and raid books for anyone to overcome. Nobody can win a faction with 15-20 globes.... And that many globes will be possible with level 11 guilds soon if not yet.

-Most servers dead zone on mc.

- Year end statistics count alts from the elf side as well as kronus kills- it's misleading they don't want to display true numbers.

-No new player is going to make an mc with no support, no active players, and on some servers the elves sit in islenort and gank any level 12+  Mc who dares to level up.

Sorry kind of ranting, but these are things on my mind. They have been there for a long time. I’ve spent too much money time and effort to keep waiting for something done. I keep saying it will happen with an update or rebalance, but when you let players become strong for years and years you can’t overcome it. Nerf how many players can be in war and raids so the same amount appear. IDK do something. 500 vs 40-50 with 14 globe can’t be won.

Your point is 100% correct. I believe the current decline of the Mountain Clan
is largely due to the following reasons:

Part 1: PVP Aspects

Skills: When certain Mountain Clan classes were adjusted or performed strongly in winter skill changes, they were often nerfed within a short period. On the other hand, the Elven Side has more crowd control and group protection skills. For example, back in 2018, it was rare to see many Paladin characters, but nowadays, every Flag War features a large number of Paladins. This class excels in group protection, group healing, crowd control, and even supports the use of heavy-armor Mermaids to enhance survivability.

Raids: Due to the long-standing overpowered state of the Elven Side, raid books have been predominantly controlled by the Sentinels. Some guilds adopt an "alliance" distribution system where the more raid books they obtain, the more gold their guild members receive. This gold is then used to acquire better gear and dungeon books to further strengthen their characters (making them increasingly powerful). This aligns with the earlier point that controlling raid bosses leads to a snowballing advantage for a faction.

Subsequent Impact: As the Sentinel faction continues to dominate raids, they naturally accumulate more raid books, which in turn gives them a significant advantage in arenas, Flag wars, and other competitive modes. When the opposing faction becomes overwhelmingly powerful, its only logical that many players would choose to leave.

Part 2: PVE Aspects

Class Balance: PVE class balance is highly uneven. The Mountain Clans lacks strong AoE capabilities: in recent weekly raids and the latest dungeon(AG), there are many situations requiring sustained AoE damage. On the MC side, only Charmers, Chieftains, and Warlocks perform well, while other classes struggle significantly with sustained AoE output.

New Raids: Due to the above points, there is a noticeable gap between the Elven Side and the Mountain Clan in terms of damage output and top-tier character quality. This is evident from the raid Ranks across all servers in recent times. Weekly raids were a well-intentioned attempt by the developers to address this, but given the existing imbalances in capabilities and resource distribution, they have failed to reset the power dynamics between the two Sides.

Currently, I find it difficult to fully understand the developers' design philosophy. However, in my opinion, if the Mountain Clan is still intended to be a meaningful part of the game, the developers should prioritize addressing its issues. Mountain Clan players simply seek a fairer combat and gaming environment—nothing more. If the Mountain Clan is no longer needed, then please introduce a class transfer feature, allowing Mountain Clan players to switch to Sentinel classes. This would eliminate the class strength disparity and save the developers from the headache of balancing class strengths.

Yes very good points. I’ve spent a long time on game, and i’ve spent too much money to even be proud of. It’s not really a hard fix, they could add some bonus to making a new mc char or something. They could make small changes to regain balance eventually, but they choose not to.  It’s not even a close balance between legion and sentinel side.

I don’t even care if dev see this or respond because i’ve already left game like many others. I waited for years and gave them so many opportunity, but i decided to take my time and money elsewhere. I’m not going to keep feeding a losing war. When one side is overpopulated for 10 years they will get enough raid books and gain enough gp/ create guilds and level them for any to overcome. It can’t be fixed unless the developers want to do something. When a server has 50 orci 50 octo books 40 subj books and so on and so forth as well as 15 level 11-12 guilds. Nobody can overcome that. I suggest that devs get in touch with each server and play a class on both sides on every server for some time. I can tell you many have quit warspear on legion side in many servers. As well as sentinel side but not as many, the game gets boring when there’s no competition. These high level guilds and the ones controlling the raid books now are selling stuff for real money in game events lots of gold sellers on elf side= they have area share of raids. Just being in area they are getting a lot of gold. Warspear devs killed warspear nobody else, cannot blame the elf side.

Sentinels winning everything consistently almost 10 years. Raids, books, drops...

They have better economy, dealer prices significantly cheaper than legion. This statement is already a good reason to choose sentinel.

Someone made a good comment about new hero releasing chieftains to the game. I think that was the only time that wars felt equal and maybe slightly in favor of legions but after a while they nerfed again.

At this point It's pointless to argue, tbh. The game feels definitely not worth playing. They rely on some whale guilds like magna carta to profit from the game. I wish there was a data about how many new players came to the game for the last 5 years. I would say less than 5k....
