Fake or Flawed? The Truth Behind 2x Drop Rate

Hey everyone,

I’ve been running Spring DG a lot recently, and I started noticing some really weird stuff with the 2x drop rate system. I thought I’d track my drops and see if I’m just unlucky or if something’s off with how the system is working. Here’s what I found after doing 250 runs during each of the boosted drop rates:

2x Weapon Drop Rate (250 runs):

    •    Weapons: 6 maces, 1 bow, 2 staffs, 1 shield
    •    Accessories: 6 dropped (pretty weird to get so many accessories with a weapon boost, right?)
    •    Other Drops: 2 skins, 1 costume (No relics dropped)

2x Accessory Drop Rate (250 runs):

    •    Weapons: 4 maces, 1 bow (Why are weapons still dropping so much?)
    •    Accessories: 0 dropped (Not a single accessory dropped!)
    •    Other Drops: 4 skins, 4 relics, 1 costume

So, what’s going on here?

    1.    Maces keep dropping like crazy – Other weapons seem to be dropping way less. Is there a hidden preference here?

    2.    No accessories dropped at all during the 2x accessory boost – Shouldn’t we be seeing more accessories, not zero?

    3.    Relics didn’t drop on 2x weapon, but they showed up on 2x accessory – What’s the deal with that?

    4.    Is 2x really 2x? – I don’t see a doubling effect happening here, at least not how I expected.

So, I’m wondering:

    •    Is the 2x drop rate actually working?
    •    Is there a hidden drop list we don’t know about?
    •    Should we get some more transparency on how these rates are really set?

Anyone else notice something similar? Would love to hear if panyone else has been tracking their drops, too. Let’s figure this out together.

Fair point, but 250 runs per boost type is still a decent chunk of time and resources spent. I’m not saying it proves anything 100%, but when the pattern is this clear (like 0 accessories during 2x accessory rate and maces constantly dropping) it definitely raises some questions.

Also, if the system is working properly, even a mid-sized sample like this should show some effect from the 2x boosts. I’m just sharing what I’ve observed and wondering if others are seeing the same. If multiple players notice similar trends, then maybe there’s more to it than just RNG.
Also, if you’ve done runs too, feel free to share what you got. Would be helpful to compare and see if others are getting similar results or if I just got super unlucky.

And just to add to that, I’ve already done more than 250 runs myself, and it’s Friday now, still no accessory drops at all. So it’s not just about one small sample anymore, it’s starting to look like a real issue. I even asked guildmates and friends, and many of them are seeing the exact same thing. So when I made this topic, it wasn’t just about my own drops, it was to shine some light on a concern that more than just one player is noticing.

I get that some items have crazy low drop rates, but if it’s a real 2x boost, you’d expect at least a few accessories, right? I’ve done over 250 runs and got 0, and my guildmates and friends are seeing the same. Sure, books drop even less, but accessories should be showing up a bit more.

the drop rates are definitely behaving unpredictably. I’d suggest checking if there’s a hidden modifier or a bug affecting the system, as certain items like maces seem to be disproportionately dropping. Transparency from the developers on how the rates are calculated would definitely clear up a lot of confusion around this!

There are bots roaming, bugs that people abuse. 2x drop events have already been questionable for the last 3 years. And yes, if you check all servers’ dealers, maces are the most abundant, that’s not discovery. The 2x, 3x drops have always been a questionable.

If you happen to check Russian forum a little bit, they also complain about these.

Unfortunately my friend, Warspear administrations or developers do not care at all. You won't even get an answer.
