Gladiator 1216 Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Relics play a major role in the outcome of fights and there is a flaw in permanently activated skills where their relics (mostly defensive and offensive ones) become useless. This comes with a considerable disadvantage for classes with these skills: Exacerbation (Seeker) Light Aura (Paladin) Beast Awakening (Beastmaster) Combat Stance (Hunter) So what I would suggest for these basic permanent skills is that the relics have a chance (the chance of the relic's activation) to proc every X seconds (X being the cooldown of the skill), as long as the character is not under control effects that block using skills. Since this activation would be automatic (sort of passive relic activation), which is, in turn, an advantage over all other skills, in exchange, I would probably suggest an x2 increase in the mana reduction cost of these skills and maybe a slight increase in their cooldowns. I'm pretty sure this an already long known issue, and I don't know if it was deliberately maintained. But I would say there is nothing special about these classes or these skills to justify such a disadvantage for the sake of balance, and if there was, then it could be addressed accordingly. Not by basically omitting an entire set of potentially very decisive relics that everyone else has access to. If you disagree with specifics that I suggested of how the relics should activate, then at least let this be an inspiration to think of other more plausible ways, there has to be a way! Quote
