However, hard training alone was not enough: talents were awakened only in those who were able to learn the wisdom of past eras (10.0 "Era of Knowledge"). Autumn bad weather met the heroes near the canals of the brilliant Vinetta - an island that since ancient times attracted various scatterbrains and actors... The last bell rang, announcing the beginning of the Mystery of the Long Nights - a competition between street theaters, which has been held every five years. All the time that the Mystery lasted, the insidious Puppeteer put spokes in the wheels of the best troupes so that none of them would win. But the brave heroes revealed his plan and united the artists of all theaters against the villain and his soulless puppets (10.1 "Mystery of Vinetta"). When frost and snowstorm replaced the rains, news of an unexpected visit from the giant Noel, the father of all snow elves, came from the Snow Boundary. White Beard's assistants, although they were glad to see their parent again, did not want to return to their father's house. Leaving, a saddened Noel sent gremlins to trick them into returning his children home. Thanks to the courage of the heroes, the snow elves not only managed to avoid the traps, but also remembered Noel's dark secret: many years ago, the giant's heart was struck by a dark curse that, in moments of anger, turned him into a cruel and unbridled Fouetar (10.2 "Citadel's Heart"). The new school year at the School of Magic promised a lot of fun, but Wickedora was darker than a cloud - someone tried to enter the School using the system of ancient portals. In an effort to protect students from danger, Wickedora invited the illustrious William Brocard to the post of professor of portal magic. When Vesperian's henchmen managed to kidnap the student Gargoyle, it was the professor who opened the portal leading to her. However, a terrible discovery awaited the students who rushed to the rescue - professor Brocard turned out to be an obedient puppet of Vesperian, who managed to return to the world in an effort to find a new body (10.3 "Secret of portals"). Having recovered from the shocks, the heroes turned to the legends of Ayvondil, which tells about the first owners of the fortresses of the Eternal Forest. Together with their armies, they were forced to hide in the castle dungeons long before the guilds of Arinar began to fight for the right to possess the fortresses. In battles with the former owners of the castles, the heroes managed to gather enough knowledge little by little to open new talents in themselves (10.4 "Time of discoveries"). Thus ended the fourteenth year of the war.
