Where do you stand?

Me personally i am not interested anymore as anyone with me on their friends list might notice.

This is not an invite to trash the developers(i know some will)

But its not that i am mad at AiGrind just that games lose their appeal after awhile. I spent a lot of money here on my chars and building a guild to level 4, also giving a lot to a bunch and i don't regret it.

I had fun,

Just now i am not

Warspear is one of the best mmorpg on the market right now. I don't deny it, I played it for 3 years and it's still a great game.

However,in spite of their company name AiGrind, there is actually no grind part that takes place in the game. It's not like if you're spending more time in the game you will actually get good.(in a grindy way)

And don't give me that crap "hurr you can farm stuff for gold".

This is why I don't really enjoy the game that much, but I still like it.

awaiting events, control points update and castle owning, hope will make warspear more interesting in some new mechanics, dungeon update wasn't as i expected it to be, i thought dungeons would be more challenging than simply spamming skills, still i like playing warspear in free times

To me it was the people. Thats what kept me around for a very long time, being able get on chat with people i had got to really know an connect with. But lately my FL full of all these old players great people is lucky to even see 1-4 white names a week. why ive been playun lot less just getting back to my RL friends an fam ever so slowly till i just say im done. Ye theres some great people who play the game now but the way they play is very diffrent from how we use to. But soon ik ima be one of those names who fades away with TIME( ;D ). Soon ill be taking my leave as others have. Just feel been here long enough time to move on :friends: (soon).

(But the game though its ok, good game to keep me busy, having a solid max lvl for year i second cause i hate having new things pop up that i gotta amp)

i used to literally play 24/7 until scatter shot was nerfed in like 2012, hell id play at work too

now i just log in to troll, and do dailies. merching here and there. still have alot of items hoarded  :spiteful:

as stated before once max level is stable thats when the fun begins, i actually quit a game called elsword after literally thousands of hours spent into the game... because they kept increasing level cap every month

Link to post

A lot of good points brought up so far, the level cap raise was told to us about a year ago and it happened just like i expected.. the best times in game after we switched from ranks to levels and being 18 with no amps yet. Still was great at 20 if you could amp, time allowed you to catch up even if you never bought mcoins..

What bothered me most is the 5000 rep needed for maliat..

I took a short break and when i came back i did the quests everyday and broke 3000, then termitary comes and makes mailat pointless to max.. soon the new one will.. and the next 2 until 30 comes.. guess we have about 6 months to wait till there is stability.. but they might announce 30+... so i just dont like the thought of playing anymore. If you thought "rich" people hurt the experience before it is nothing to now and the future

im at 3000 maliat myself too, and i have high hopes that there will be a reason later to max all rep's

that area sanctioned off directly in the middle of ayvondil, my gut is telling me thats going to be a tower, with the requirements being to have rep's in all types of ayvondil races

Would be nice but i am convinced it is either a control point or castle. The npc says its a fort and we will compete at it. They also are too nice on the requirements to move forward.. lab should have been yellow quests, kota too. And finishing all heroic difficulties. I guess thats why i moved to dark souls 1-2 and will get demon souls soon after i finish NG+++

The game is too easy on players, they should have made all heroic levels compulsory, people are simply bypassing it and not trying at all, it leaves those of us who actually try for heroic levels go without people to party with. Bringing heroic back in the mix might even slow down the rate of people leveling up so quickly, and make the gradual cap increase seem non existent to some.... but i guess that's wishful thinking

I remember many warspear friends used to tell me all the time that they really wanted to quit the game, but they just didn't know how.

So that's how this game had an effect on players at some point of time. But the things started to change gradually in the adverse way.

I myself have quit this game a few months back already but I don't blame the game mechanics, but there are plenty of loopholes in game.

The one best thing is the people I met in game.I personally had my utmost moments in ws.Players had the competitive approach to game but it kept fading after release of every update. This game was unique from others as warspear wasn't about players skills or game character skills but it was all about timing of the available skills. Now even that aspect has changed. As I see the guild update was a major hit to game.Although I has been a part of the initial guild tours, even though we won tour but I used to lose a lot of peace in life, its just tension tension.Game should be relaxing, thrilling not giving tensions in life. Also the whole purpose of ws guild system is a failure. If the guild had limited to just 15 players/guild with no leveling would have been better. Many players left game because of this guild pressure only. Many friends became rivals coz of guild system.

e.e Coming to some good points too

1.Arena is fun,PvP doubles the fun.As a player we want to shine on our individuality.

2.Farming lab bosses,chatting.

3.Standing lazily in towns and bragging about unwanted things.

4.Many had this bad habit of standing at same place in towns.I had this too.

Game use to be so much better back in the day. Now it is increasingly more about the money ( unintentional or not ).. and even those without money can no longer strive to improve with the constant nerfing of gears. A Big one for me.. is too much concentrating on tower instances instead of good old farming ( lab fan ).

Thats just a start. There is many other things i would point out, but that would be spinning a broken record.

The game has so much potential and is great in many ways, but its slowly going sideways.

Best ws updates: lab/guilds

Worst ws updates: swamp(made farming useless)/expert skills(should have been given in another way, example: need complete a training quest to open this kind of expert skill, buying it is easy)

Could have been better updates: guild tournaments/dungeon mechanics/craft(useless)/arena seasons.... Many more not on my mind

Yea right updates: amping update xD

this is my personal opinion but im sure most old players think like that

Its kinda more like single player vs computer.

updates are biased for aigrind.really miss those times when ppl used to gather to bang boss.lab was a real kick. Lab and farming was more like love affair with time more beautiful but dungeons are like going to a hooker you enter ,do the job and leave.

tournys are ridiculous specially if you play in eu . We dnt talk abt you knw who.

The much awaited aivondyl is an #epicfail ,aigrind would have focussed on irselnort and extended the storyline on nadir. Maybe aigrind can make control points an extension of nadir.

just my views xD

The game is good. You won't find a better MMO for a mobile.

I don't play it anymore, because I don't need to play on my phone anymore.

To those saying game was better and now is bad, you're pretty wrong. It would be worse if they added worse stuff. But it's pretty opposite, the game is growing, new unique content is being added, and old things aren't going away either.

That's nostalgia working on you. The feeling when you started playing first, killed first bosses, cleared first island, the memories of your first experiences. During the Tourmaline leveling race I had a chance to relive my beginnings, and it was enjoyable. But the end-game content was enjoyable too.

Try playing different games for a while, and come back, when new content will wait for you.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

The votes speak for themselves. Maybe i'll try at 30, maybe not. I already miss my friends but the game has always had the "consuming your life" aspect which a lot of good games do..  every update people join , stay , or go. Feels like more are going, at least people i know

And the way you sound to me is "how dare you plebs form opinions that i don't care for m9" all the time.

Anyways

Majority is simply wrong. Nostalgia is a strong thing, next thing you'll tell me all games made before 2000 are better than all games made after 2010.

the game offers a different experience than it did years back. some enjoy it some dont, the game has had major hauls done to it in multiple builds, ive even read about the games alpha stages that included more than 2 skills per class, i swear on my life i have seen a video of rangers pvp'ing in town 1 first island, and using stealth skill just like rogues. dated a long time ago of of couse..

and i wont ever forget that huge skill tree we used to have, with even class evolutions or something

i agree with the majority motion, but its not like they formed those biased opinions over nothing

I have to agree with sulla here.

The game is receiving level updates constantly and while you could work hard and get good stuff earlier, now it is very hard for the "hard workers" to survive. In fact, even the money spenders are finding it hard to survive.

By the time one would get the latest items and amp them, new items will be out. This instability makes the player annoyed.

Also, the new arena map, i tried out that ridiculous random teleporting map in which the best strategy the players have developed is to wait for the opponent to teleport to you and you gank them. Arena is supposed to be fast and fun but that map is just BORING.

It should not be random and it should be doing Damage-on-turn like the lava map if you stay at one place for a long time.

The game was definitely fun when I started playing it, i was literally hooked.

Leveling up to 18 was fun, there were a lot of different quests and many quests required help of others and it was fun. I met nice people and the community just doubled the fun. I had fun in lab runs, swamps, kota and irselnort . I remember being escorted by friends into enemy territory and killing them right in their land, it was so thrilling and exciting especially when you do it the first time.

I think the game went downhill when it became strictly Pay2win. That is when the "magic update" happened.

Now, you must have high amp to heal higher and you need to buy signs to get high amp which indirectly means you have to spend more money to get strong.

I know many people who were not high amped but still could go for hunts because they could still heal high and they were nice people. The magic update changed this completely.

It also made the 1vs1 fights between two casters boring and the ones with same amp would end up in a stalemate resulting in no winner.

After that point, more and more pay2win updates kept on coming and resulted in people not being able to catch up.

The guild tournament is literally a battle of how rich you are rather than how "strong" or "skilled" you are which is why AoA always wins the tourny without any competition.

The revive scrolls also defeated the whole point of death. Now, if you die, you just revive and come back as if nothing happened. I think revive scrolls should have never existed, that just made the game a lot easier, it made camping easier and the rich got yet another advantage over the poor. This also made the game less challenging.

One more thing is the population of one class far exceeding the population of the other. Since elfs are more in population, it makes it hard for MC to fight back especially with the imbalance in skills.

TL;DR

I enjoyed the game when i joined it.

Magic Power update ruined it for me.

The Guild tournament system heavily relies on Pay2Win concept and the "hardworker" can never beat the "rich" at least in the guild tournament.

The instability as new levels and weapons keep coming up,ironically, reduced the interest of many players in the game which are now waiting for the game to become more stable.

Also, I am hyped up for the new update containing control points and capturing the tower.

I don't usually type this much, wew.

I would never say that... but yes some of my all time favorites are on psX and pc pre-2000 and that's my nostalgia nothing will beat the original MGS , RE, FF 7-8, and Tomb raider 1-3.. i like warspear because it reminded me of Diablo2.

These facts have nothing to do with the way i feel about Warspear for they are opposite. Those games are static, however this is dynamic

Thread in the brief review:

grass is always greener on the other side, neighbor has got a new car that you want to drive and everything good and cool is always in the past.

That's kinda human nature, not game (

what dev thought of this genius idea?

There's now max level 24, with level 19 arena equips, pvpers now face the option of staying at 20, or go 24 and equip 19 gear to be upgraded in few month's, pvers are grinding for +1 level item upgrade, to 21, which will be replaced in couple month's, after most have amped lvl20 gear already, now being 4 item levels lower than your max, lol.

Three year's to develop a glorified swamp island, released piece by piece, slowly to milk the community, faction sharing quests and island, "War" is no longer, peaceful isle, amplifying is only bareable when the game is "stable", either way, great temporary business plan.

See i think that's the reason the game is ruined/unstable atm. It was good of you guys bringing these back to back max lvl cap updates but while you guys were doing that you forgot to accompany it with the ammo that it needed to be good. Did you really expect from players to go lvl 24 and amp those lower level equips when it is certain that sooner or later higher equips will come, god knows when? That's where you guys really really messed up. Everybody had already waited 2 years for the new cap. 1-2 more months for making the suitable equips and then releasing the updates would have made it much much better.
