Dk outdated

Recommended Posts

I have been playing dk for 5 years now:facepalm:

I find it very weak even very well amplified +10 in pve and pvp but it is still zero !!!! (compared to my experience with the barb +8 I'm doing very well with it) in arena my victories are very rare I try all the builds possible but nothing I had to spend a fortune to see (3000 €:calm-down-crazy-rabbit-emoticon:) for the dk PLEASE DO SOMETHING increase him his defense out of pity !!!!!!:kawaii:

I have to agree. It seems like the devs focus on the DMG side of the dk and not it's intended role. Tanking

Je suis d'accord. Il semble que les développeurs se concentrent sur le côté DMG du dk et non sur son rôle prévu. Réservoir

it's so useless, I play tank to tanking

It's not useless as it's quite good at tanking. It's just that the devs should focus on it more than the DeathKnights offensive capabilities

I had one DK once and it was a real tank but with these nerfs the DK become somewhat useless!! The DK shield of darkeness skill, i don't remember its name but the effect is purple wings, need some redoing. I expect that the skill base effect time could be increase!! Let see if the buff the DK defense!!

DK has been nerfed on his dmg part. The tankiness part was "buffed" (with little to no results) but in comparison with his colleagues he is definitely the weakest.

You see a DK tanking high level content thanks to:

•Pure statistics (parry/block)

•Mermen Set

•Libraries

tbh stats can't give you much in term of tankiness, now mermen on the other side, my god! its like day and night, i can't believe how much a 30% constant damage reduction feels more reliable and good than a 50% for 8 seconds

what dk needs the most right now in my opinion is a good healing ability. one like barbarian "battle fury", warden "block master" or paladin "heavenly light". it could be in the form of a new ability or a rework for reserve

Pretty sure that PvP 1vs1 people will cry if they touch reserves right now

On the other hand, a 2nd healing ability which requires Magic Damage would be a very interesting comproromise... not gonna lie, I might change entirely my meta should that happen.

Or even a physical based healing. That would be alot better

Hmm well, I'll tell you one thing, I think DK is not that kind of character who would deserve a healing based on physical attributes. The meta wanted by devs is clearly magic damage, but you won't turn a tank class into a magic character if you don't plan to give it skills which increase its survivability skills: that's what is missing in this class, a skill which makes worth for a tank using magic damage.

And it's not that hard to do, if you see DK's counterpart on Elf Side.

As I see it, an adjustment to the Wing to be a % damage reduction bonus based on your defense and a passive to Blood Shield that leaves the skill active if it reaches 30% hp. DK's cure comes from his Vampirism.

surely dk can cure from vampirism, but effectively all other class can do the same. why is it that only dk need to relay on vampirism to cure? while other classes have other means of curing beside vampirism. FYI vampirism is not a good curing way for tanks, specially for dks, vampirism would look cool on a damager that crit 5k and cure 2.5k but not so much on a dk that can barely crit 1-1.5k. and i am talking about average run of the mail dks, not dks with with 12 rare skill books, or as dear @Higgings called them "libraries". these characters that are overly powerful CAN NOT be used as a benchmark for a class abilities or capabilities

I have to agree. The only non class specific skill book I have is Gladiators Resilience and yet I can't use it yet because of the fact I'm working on achievement slots before. We need a base healing/recovery skill aside from Secret Reserves.

I agree in parts. Obviously the class needs more ways to withstand the damage taken, but the healing must come from the group's Healer. Vampirism is made exactly for solo content. I'd much rather have an effective damage reduction coming from Wings and Blood Shield than a "Self Heal". Regarding the fact that "Overpowers" DKs with 15 books, on the contrary, it is a great parameter to understand the limits and flaws of the class. Even myself with all the books I own, feats, +10 items, the most powerful relics in the game for example I take massive amounts of damage in mythical dungeons. Which just shows again the need for an improvement in the damage reduction received. If this happens even to me, with a DK in development and 20X worse...

If we go further and follow the Death Knight parameter in Rpgs, ours is very close, with the only difference of using fire and not ice. The Death Knight's idea is to be a heavy armored wizard / necromancer with specialization of enemy control and life stealing. In Warspear the class already has the Life Steal and Group Control, however, the way it is the Tank characteristic of the class has flaws. If there was a change where the Wings become a reasonable % Damage Reduction and the Blood Shield had a longer duration or a shorter cooldown, it will correct the fault that the class currently has.
