15% extra magic is too much of a advantage to casters

lets suppose the increase for casters was 5% .

now for warlock,mage

the new items hav energy regain on it so they can go with pene on rings so easy

means 10%(from items) +3.6%( 2 rings switched to pene) + 1.2%( a basic opponent has abt 30% def to any kind of magic bt pene hits the opponent directly so its abt 1.2% added advantage on affective damage) = 14.8%

so with just 5% on items they get a benefit of 9.8% affective damage

now considering +7 mage/locks as shitzo said , they hav 314 magic - 16(from cloak) - 18(from amulet) = 280 magic

280 magic + 41 magic = 321 magic ( with new cloak nd amulet)

that's y even +7 mage/lock gets higher crit , higher rese ,higher def with a increase of 7 magic  ( if the %increase was 5%)

bt devs gave them 15% so ya its unfair to others bcoz they got too much of a advantage over others now

now lets do this maths for real stats ( that's 15% given by devs on each item )

lets consider a +9 lock/mage

around 358 magic

now he has 30%(from items) + 3.6%( from pene on rings) + 1.2% (a basic opponent has abt 30% def to any kind of magic bt pene hits the opponent directly so its abt 1.2% added advantage on affective damage) = 34.8%

now 358 magic - 18 magic (amulet) - 16 magic (cloak) = 324 magic

nd he gets 34.8% increase on this 324 magic means 324+ 112 magic = 436 magic

+9 mage/lock gets higher crit , higher rese ,higher def with a increase of 78 magic

now u decide devs aint it too much of advantage ?

Imagine this with +10 new weapon (better than sd)

It's high but they don't give a shit, to.be first u must spend milions,.to spend milions u must afford it, if u can afford so many milions in arena (and be first) u can easily have +10 full

Mage or lock with +10 full set will instant kill u, even if u use full.resilience and magic def compare against stun, blink, aoe, 30% crit, puch, range attack, skill spamming etc...?

So it's not big deal, an impossible action (to kill him)  became twice impossible...

But don't run, wait to see new items, maybe they hide more than u think...

But if not let them destroy balance...

  • Resi doesnt add to def %. If you have 15% resi, it doesnt mean you take 15% less damage.

    resi already lowers enemies crit % and crit damage, so its clear that the base damage reduced from resi % cant be the same as  damage reduced from def %.

    If you have 20% def + 15% resi, it does NOT mean the damage reduced will be (20% + 15% = 35%) it would be less.

  • penetration does not affect resi
  • besides those who are paranoid about locks, I doubt anyone walks around with high % magic def. So besides in PvE, there is no need for casters to go full penetration. Any caster who uses max penetration in pvp is ♥♥♥♥ing stupid. Except maybe locks vs ppl who use high dark def, but any other caster using max penetration in pvp I feel very sorry for

btw can we all stop calling penetration "pene"?

It means "penis" in Spanish :bad:
