i though yelling in world chat for a party was some sort of matchmaking....
it could work by having roles? support, damager and tank
the game would then pick 1 player matchmaking from support, one from damager and one from tanks and throw them into a party
but then you have classes like charmer, templer, blade dancer, where do you put those? they could be used to fill slots if there are not enough player matchmaking in a certain category, but then what if there are not enough support classes matchmaking and a charmer or templer get thrown in that party would be unbalanced or capable to finish the dungeon
ahhhh random mechanics are a pain xd

Well, the results from this even in other MMORPG games (way way bigger than ours) has been negative in general.
History shows that players simply stop communicating to play solo, and this goes the opposite direction of Warspear's core.
Even though I believe that in some extent this would help, there are many things to consider. If this will ever happen, it won't be an automatic match making. I bet my boots.

My 25k was a random number thrown as a calculation of the total ammount of damage you should deal to the Paladin to kill him, should this be capable to self cast a shield with the same strenght of the current one. Don't take it as a flat and proved number, rather than a number given by 2 casted shields in a fight, combined with healing skills and Prayer and a paladin with 8k flat Hps. I'm not saying to nerf the shield, I'm saying that a buff to this skill, taking into account all of the things previously said, is not justified whatsoever, unless the shield self castable is just a common shield (necro/priest alike) and/or general statistics of this skill are reviewed and modified.

If your Death Knight focuses also on Magic Damage, a good compromise might be Kiss of Death. Aside that, Death Call and Steel Hurricane, our class hasn't got that much potential in 1 vs many, I fear. Even on single target, I would mainly go for skills like Steel Hurricane which can still crit and heal you as a consequence with a good ammount of Life Steal.

skills of each class arent based on soloing in pvp nor in pve
skills of each class in each faction are based on the server full balance between legion vs sentinel
would i like a sacred shield self casting? sure why not
would it not give a 2nd shield to ur 2nd partner if 3/4 or 4/4 and self casted? sure why not
is it necessary? nah here is why:
in 1v1 pvping that the game clearly tries to avoid, i will be too op u wont be able to kill paladin easily unless u timed disables correctly
in arena if u play correctly u can survive with ur partner long enuf to kill enemies, if ur partner died than its fair for the enemies did their job
in war, u can always find an ally to cast shield on them so u receive urs
in gvg same as war
in dungeon also u got your party
and for some nagging about pve aka questing or farming u can cast it on ur minion
non the less some people nagging about 4/4 sacred shield being op, but most shield skills at 4/4 and 5/5 are op also xD but people dont lvl them because they like to do massive amount of damage or buffed stats, they dont play defensively
Blade dancer: shield 4/4 (self cast)
Shaman: shield 4/4 (protects ally and pulls him)
Templar: combat shield 5/5 (same as shaman but he gets pulled to ally)
Rogue: 4/4 achieving high dodge (works like a shield a bit in concept protecting u from damage)
death knight: 5/5 dark shield that reduces incoming damage depending on his def
priest shield: 5/5 works like sacred shield depends on hp
necro shield: 5/5 works like sacred shield depends on hp
druid: 4/4 barrier im not sure how much sucks damage but also id bet gd at 4/4
warden: 5/5 shield skill that gives u shield as much as u do damage
TIP: necro pala priest shield skills cancels each other out when casted on same target
i can name more shielding skills and the list will go on, paladin is based on being support/defensive tank, the only reason people sometimes complain about being broken because thats the only option paladins got to level that is decent
give me access to lvl32 of each class and i can prove each one has op defensive skills at 4/4 if expert or 5/5 if basic
also another
TIP: for those who dont know how hp shield works for necro/priest/paladin
its like this lets say 4/4 sacred shield gives 100% of hp as defence shield
that 100% is based on your max hp, lets say its 10khp, it will suck away 10k dmg from enemies but if like u have 0% defence not what u already got
so its like your not wearing any gears, aka 1hit from swamp slug removes a 10khp shield even if u got 80% max defence or resilence vs players
the only thing that reduces the damage taken to shield, is damage reduction related buffs, not % of def or resilience

death knight also have an ability to revive ally's in WoW, so i want that in warspear as well
and while we at it, death knight have a skill that gives him complete magic immunity in WoW, so add that to warspear as well
the whole concept of " x class have x skill in that game, so its normal it have it in this" is frantically uncalled for, these games are nothing alike
the strategy is different, gameplay is different, max level, skills, gear, stats, all these things are different between games, the only thing they have in common is that both of them are MMORPG's

Because the paladin is already strong enough and the ability to self cast sacred shield is just a matter of "every class shield-casting can do it, why my class can't?" more than "pala is weak in 1vs1 hence give us a buff" forgetting also that this is the only shield in game to work accordingly to the user's HPs ammout. Tanks are by definition a class who can reach high ammount of HPs, and the only cons of this skill is someone to cast it on. Removing this cons is just giving a useless buff to an already strong skill. I'm asking why, and so far everyone just said "yes it deserves this change". No... no, it doesn't because the skill is strong enough. I'm free to hear your motivations.

Death Knight's description says also that we can use the damage dealt by our enemies against themselves, but I'm still trying to figure out how after 7 years of play with this class... If a tank has got higher supporting abilities than a class designed to specifically support, then the support class is weak or the tank class is broken. I pretty much believe the second option to be our case.

Again, I strongly advise you to follow the statistics the game gives when you give suggestions. Taking some models from other games is good, but saying that a class deserves a skill because in other games/legends you have got "this class doing this thing" is a biased method of thought. At least when it comes to this game.
If you plan to solo with a paladin without the use of life steal then it's not the shield that needs a buff, but the player who doesn't know how to build a solo class.

so in may 29, 2017 i had the brilliant idea of suggesting my own skill ideas to the forums, i wholeheartedly forgot about them, but while seeing the suggestion section i stumbled into them.
it was fun to read what i had thought about a long time ago, and while all of them were just for fun and not me actually wanting them to be in game, it actually came to be a 4 part thing with me suggesting skills and so on that took the span of a year, the idea was to suggest skills that are not strong or broken but skills that had unique and/or new effect to them, so i decided to include them all into a new post and rewrite them.
Also, if a skill you see here is somewhat like a skill ingame, i have no comment to that...
all skills are expert skills and have resprited icons from the game!
Part One:
Ethereal Form - Active
When this skill is casted on ally, self or enemy, it will shift the target into a ghost that can't harm
or be harmed by physical damage, When the target is in ethereal form he will take increased magical damage
Numbers:
level 1 - 40% magical damage increase
level 2 - 50% magical damage increase
level 3 - 60% magical damage increase
level 4 - 70% magical damage increase
Pure Attack - Active
This skill bewitches the weapon in order to ignore some armor in the next attack

at max level if the skill absorb 1000 damage, the skill will take 100 energy which is like 2/3 the energy for an average lv32 tank

when health get to a critical level push all enemies away from the hero and slow them for sometime, meanwhile grant the character a shield that absorb some
of the incoming damage

- this skill will swap the current health value not the max by the % so if you are a rogue with health 1000/2000 then your health % is 50% and the character with this skill health is 1000/5000 then its 20% what happen is the 50% and the 20% will be swapped giving the casting character 2500/5000 and the rogue get the 20% of this health of 800/2000
- this skill can be also casted on allies for help, and will be resisted by most mob AI's
Corruption - Active
When casted on enemy, the enemy will lose control attacking the closest allies for sometime
last half the duration on players

level 1 - last 6 seconds, 60 second cooldown
level 2 - last 9 seconds, 70 second cooldown

so in may 29, 2017 i had the brilliant idea of suggesting my own skill ideas to the forums, i wholeheartedly forgot about them, but while seeing the suggestion section i stumbled into them.
it was fun to read what i had thought about a long time ago, and while all of them were just for fun and not me actually wanting them to be in game, it actually came to be a 4 part thing with me suggesting skills and so on that took the span of a year, the idea was to suggest skills that are not strong or broken but skills that had unique and/or new effect to them, so i decided to include them all into a new post and rewrite them.
Also, if a skill you see here is somewhat like a skill ingame, i have no comment to that...
all skills are expert skills and have resprited icons from the game!
Part One:
Ethereal Form - Active
When this skill is casted on ally, self or enemy, it will shift the target into a ghost that can't harm
or be harmed by physical damage, When the target is in ethereal form he will take increased magical damage
Numbers:
level 1 - 40% magical damage increase
level 2 - 50% magical damage increase
level 3 - 60% magical damage increase
level 4 - 70% magical damage increase
Pure Attack - Active
This skill bewitches the weapon in order to ignore some armor in the next attack
Numbers:
level 1 - 10% penetration
level 2 - 15% penetration
level 3 - 20% penetration
level 4 - 25% penetration
Reduplication - Active
Make a copy of yourself that have percent of your health and damage
Numbers:
level 1 - 20% of character max health & 10% of max damage, last 30 seconds.
level 2 - 30% of character max health & 15% of max damage, last 30 seconds.
level 3 - 40% of character max health & 20% of max damage, last 30 seconds.

Fire Breath - Active
The Hero shot fire breath from his mouth to the targeted enemy that burn the enemy along side the surrounding area, any enemy inside the fire would take damage over time

level 3 - 300 Base damage + character Magical damage

Bubble shield - Active
Shield the selected target with a shield that absorb some of the incoming damage and create a healing bubble with each attack absorbed, that heal random target in radius

level 3 - 20% damage absorb 3% heal of max health

Chaos! - Active
When activate target around the character will be stunned suffering from magic damage per second, after the end of the effect all target will be slowed, if this skill is leveled pass 3 this skill will ignore immune targets

level 1 - 1 second stun, 30% magical damage, 2 max targets
level 2 - 2 second stun, 40% magical damage, 3 max targets
level 3 - 3 second stun, 50% magical damage, 3 max targets
level 4 - 4 second stun, 60% magical damage, 4 max targets, Ignore immune targets !
Berserk call - Active
Percent of incoming attacks to allies will be redirected to the casting character.

Darkness - Active
Cast a debuff on an enemy that will change it view, decreasing it movement speed and make him unable to see enemy unit.

MultiHit - Active
this skill bewitches the weapon in order to increase the attack speed of the character to max for the next attack,

Beast Form - Active
Change the character form into a mighty beast that have increase physical damage and hp but reduced move speed and attack speed

level 2 - increase damage by 15% and hp by 20%, reduce move speed by 25% and attack speed by 25%

level 4 - increase damage by 25% and hp by 30%, reduce move speed by 15% and attack speed by 15%
Steel Punch - Active
Attack that deal heighten physical damage and reduce the enemy defense for sometime

level 1 - 100% physical damage, 10% defense reduce, last 5 second
level 2 - 140% physical damage, 12% defense reduce, last 6 second
level 3 - 180% physical damage, 15% defense reduce, last 7 second
level 4 - 220% physical damage, 20% defense reduce, last 8 second
Ranger Wrath - Active
Ranger will shoot 3 arrows with a 0.5 second in between each arrow will do its own effect, first arrow will deal physical damage to the enemy second arrow will poison the enemy third arrow will stun the enemy, the ranger will be immobilize at the time of the skill

level 1 - 40% damage, 3 second of poison debuff, 1 second of stun
level 2 - 60% damage, 4 second of poison debuff, 1.5 second of stun
level 3 - 80% damage, 5 second of poison debuff, 2 second of stun

Hope - Active
Place a buff on an ally that will resurrect him them at the place of death with max health and energy
