Drakoslayd reacted to Dr Strange in [2023.12.20] Game servers restart. Welcome to the Snowy Bound!
    Dear players!

Tomorrow, 21.12.2023, our game servers will be restarted at 08:00 CET due to the game update.

The game will be unavailable for about 8-10 hours. Please, don't plan anything significant in the game at this time.

Please also don’t forget that used elixirs and minions are paused and seeker’s endurance will be restored if at the moment of the reboot the player was in a dungeon.

The test server will be available at approximately 8:15 CET.
Links for downloading the test client:
    Android 4.4 or higher: https://distr.warspear-online.com/distr/12.2.3-test/warspear-newsdk.apk
    Windows Desktop: https://distr.warspear-online.com/distr/12.2.3-test/warspear.exe
    Windows XP Version: https://distr.warspear-online.com/distr/12.2.3-test/warspear-winxp.exe

Keep in mind that only the owners of Android or Windows based devices will be able to play on the test server.

For more detail of what is in the upcoming update, please refer to the announcement: 1 part and 2 part.

    See you!

Some other games have a mechanic where if on-place revives are used multiple times in a row, their cooldown extends each time, and it resets when respawning normally. Such a system wouldn't punish casual use or even light spamming, but it would really make people consider if waiting three minutes after their 20th scroll is worth it.

Not just on a whim am I asking for a visual update on the necromancer skeletons

The appearance and animations of Skills that make characters more visually pleasing, this helps the character's popularity and consequently attracts more players.

As we can see in the image below, it even looks like the skeletons are from a totally different game

Agreed this...They also need to fix bots in arena I heard if you afk in arena for too long you get timed out from arena for 5-10 mins I think that may solve some problems in this game, but only if you afk against the opposite faction. This I forgot to add.

Chill, if we are Lucky, in the part two of the announcement, they will drop more changes..
because, indeed, there are a LOT that need to be changed in the classes, not only those that we already saw.

Hope on that part two they really bring us more changes about the skills, and not just the snow map..

always end up in the same thing.
The preview that is supposed to being an spoiler end up showing everything planned

Our fight isn't over yet. Rogue needs to be good otherwise we will lose our best rogues because they will switch classes. We are counting on test server participants now. The mechanisms shown in Part I weren't so bad but the numbers are terrible. We need to massively improve them.

I think the most fun aspect of a MMORPG is the combat strategy, but how can you strategize when you don't know what your opponent has at all in terms of skills? Right now with talents, the game became too messy in that regard. Ok, some talents have visual cue, but most don't. I think we should add icons specifying which of the alternating talents the character is using and which branch.

Drakoslayd reacted to Stuns v2 in Blow of the Silence is lackluster in the current meta
Silence used to be one of the best skills on the death knight, if not the best skill from a PvP angle purely because of its ability to lock players down and give team fights extra versatility and with the introduction of changes involving the inclusion of resistance, anti-control effect and self-buffs saw the silence lose its appeal in the area of PvP.

The developers have bought allot of change to bring back the relevance to this skill including the area of effect in a 1 block radius around the character but still it has not met the mark I feel.

Recently (dec 2023) one more update is in store for the death knight:

More changes that decrease the usefulness of the skill.

My reason for creating this post is to bring up the point that the Blow of Silence is a PvP skill by nature because it provides no use case in the PvE scenario to any extent since bosses resist the silence. Keeping this is mind, the use case for the silence has been hampered significantly in the arena and GvG as well with the inclusion of resistance and cleanse self-buff of different characters and gear.

Therefore, very little reason is there to use this skill or level it up for both the PvE and PvP aspects of the game in this current meta.

Suggestions from my point of view:
    1. Give the skill an additional debuff, a heal block and silence. To prevent all healing (vamp and passive heal) + skill block.
    2. Make the silence not resistible (many of my elf friends will not be in the same boat as me on this change)
    3. Increase the range of the silence debuff as per level.
    4. Increase the DK hp regen speed for a few seconds when the skill button is pressed.

I am not the balance team for the game so my changes may not seem fair to my friends on the opposite faction, and I agree, but I truly feel Blow of the Silence as a skill needs a proper rework, because in its current state the skill has very little use in and out of the arena.

    Dear friends!

The magical winter holidays are just around the corner, which means it's time to prepare for a journey to the Snowy Bound! The hospitable assistants of White Beard have already adorned their homes with sparkling lights and prepared wonderful gifts for the warriors of Arinar. However, a new unknown force threatens to disrupt the long-awaited celebration!

Day by day, the World Creation Celebration is getting nearer! Yet this year doesn’t seem to be any cheerful for the White Beard and his elves, as the hordes of penguins and gremlins have invaded the Snowy Bound and besieged the Citadel! Commanded by the vile and sinister South Pole corporation, this army is claiming the ownership over the Snowy Bound for the corporation’s co-owners – Mr Ping and Mrs Knott. Their crook scheme is as plain: to expel the White Beard and the snow elves, so as to take control over the production and delivery of gifts. Should this plan come to life, the merry spirit of the World Creation will ever be gone…

In its hirst to eliminate competitors in the production of gifts for World Creation, South Pole corporation will stop at nothing! Striving to quickly break White Beard's resistance, the malicious forces of the corporation have seized a large part of the island. In response, White Beard has surrounded the Citadel's vicinity with an impregnable wall. This icy barrier, coupled with treacherous wastelands and snowy passes, separates the peaceful inhabitants of the island from the Southern forces entrenched in the north. It is precisely there that you are to venture, so dress warmly!

    Weekly alliance tournament Winter Moments

With the appearance of South Pole corporation on Snowy Bound, everything went wrong! The fluffy rabbit, symbolizing the passing year, has no intention of leaving Snowy Bound without a lavish feast. Each heroic deed performed by the Sentinels and the Legion's warriors will be turned into treats for the rabbit, which, at the end of the tournament day, will take an honorable place on the festive table of the victorious Alliance. To organize the most sumptuous feast, accumulate tournament points for the following activities:
Completing quests (25 points, no limit) Completing dynamic tasks (25 points, no limit) Completing attractions (15 points, the limit of points per day is 600) Completing dungeons (from 10 to 40 points depending on the level of the dungeon, the limit of points per day is 800)  Killing boss (20 points, no limit) Participation in raid boss kills (60 points, no limit) Performing any of these activities will simultaneously replenish the daily score counter of your Alliance and your personal weekly counter, necessary to receive generous rewards at the end of the tournament. To claim personal rewards at the end of the week, you'll need to accumulate the required minimum points, and the more points you gather, the more generous the reward will be! Additionally, remember that upon reaching certain milestones in the total points you accumulate, your Alliance's daily treasury will be replenished twice.

The more days your Alliance wins during the week, the richer the festive table will be, so keep up the pace throughout the entire week! Preliminary tournament results will be announced every day at 23:00 CET. At the end of each tournament day, the territory of the winning Alliance will be adorned with special decorations, and warriors of the trailing Alliance will have the opportunity to catch up with their opponents. For completing activities, they will earn from 20% to 90% more points, depending on the number of days they've lost.

The Alliance with the highest number of days won during the week will win the tournament. The winning Alliance will not only feed the voracious rabbit but also receive valuable rewards based on the individual activity of each warrior in the tournament. Warriors of the losing Alliance can expect a consolation prize, the size of which will also depend on the individual activity of each participant!

Tournament time and duration: weekly (from Sunday 23:00 CET to Sunday 23:00 CET)

    Holiday tasks

South Pole corporation has not only entered the battle with White Beard for the right to manufacture and deliver gifts to the residents of Arinar but has also practically taken over the Snowy Bound! You will have to defeat the minions of the Southern forces and pierce the heart of the corporation to neutralize the main villains!

The Southern forces have caused quite a bit of harm to the residents of the festive island, so complete daily tasks to restore justice: destroy generators, organize festive fireworks for gremlins, add sleeping pills to coffee machines, repair broken snowmen, and sow chaos among the ranks of penguin spies! Don't forget to visit the Jolly Snowman PvP tavern and enter the territory of the enemy Alliance!

Please note that quests in the PvP tavern are now worked for players in two level ranges (3-17 levels and 18-34 levels). Additionally, now the character's level and their equipment in the PvP tavern will change depending on the level range, up to a maximum of 17 or 34 levels.

Please note that for a number of tasks the mechanics of dynamically changing the level of a game character will be used. A change in the virtual level will be indicated by the color indication of the game level in the character widget and equipment slots, a special icon to the right of the character widget, as well as a hint window when entering the territory.

    Dynamic tasks

On Snowy Bound, dynamic tasks await you! South Pole forces periodically launch fierce attacks on three crucial outposts of White Beard - the Snowmen Village, located near the Citadel, as well as the Bakery and the Holiday Tree Farm, which have fallen into the hands of the southerners. You'll have to defend these outposts: deal with monsters in the Snowmen Village, extinguish fires, and destroy metal trees at the Holiday Tree Farm, as well as defeat the gingerbread boss in the Bakehouse!

Dynamic tasks have no cooldown time and will be activated when a unified counter for both Alliances is filled by completing activities in daily quests and dungeons. Any task will be available for completion within 1.5 hours after activation. The activation of a dynamic task will be indicated by a change in the flag at the location - the two-color flag of the Snowy Bound will be replaced by the green South Pole flag.

    Dungeons

The dangerous toy factories of South Pole corporation are tirelessly working to ensure that every resident of Arinar receives an explosive gift for the World Creation holiday! Stop the operation of the deadly conveyor by solving all riddles and puzzles in the dungeons, just don't forget that Jolly Silas will interfere with disrupting the production plan!

Jolly Silas is not quite not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he’s certainly doing great in charge of matters explosive all across the Snowy Bound. If you ever wonder what’s that special about Silas, the answer is fairly simple. It’s his huge boomerang which strikes terror into all the South Pole laborers!

Be prepared to thoroughly study all the details of the production process of fireworks and firecrackers that Silas's factories are so famous for! Remember that not all monsters in the rooms are dangerous, so help the workers and don't forget to heal your allies!

In the boss room, stay away from the boomerang that Jolly Silas won't part with! Additionally, the weakening boss will summon a helper gremlin with a dangerous firecracker, the explosion of which can cause serious harm!

    World event South Pole Breakthrough

The farsighted White Beard built a sturdy ice wall to protect the Citadel from the assaults of the Southern forces even before the return of the heroes of Arinar to the Snowy Bound. However, small groups of southerners constantly break through the wall and attack the peaceful inhabitants of the island! Gather as many warriors as possible to put an end to attempts to breach the defense!

    1st stage: Before the Storm
The Lord of the Snowy Bound has enacted another defense line consisting of frost staffs which maintain a magical barrier that envelops the Citadel. But let them be destroyed, and the Southern army will get over the wall in no time! So you’ve got to secure the staffs and strike back! But be cautious, for the Southerners are rumored to have tamed frosty boars!

    2nd stage: Behind the Wall
The Southerners have built a power drill to break through the wall! This machine must be destroyed! You’ve got to sneak on the South Pole premises to prevent the Southerners from bringing the drill to the wall! Be bold in the fight and do your best to interfere with their scheme!

    3rd stage: Some Coffee?
Many of the South Pole gremlins frown upon such a hasty work pace. Hopefully, they’re totally exhausted now, so we may offer them just any drink so they don’t interfere with our scheme and take a break instead. You’ve got to take care, though, as they may also get angry and attack you. Just don’t be too intrusive and make sure you persuade as many gremlins as you can!

    4rd stage: Blasting Bang Bang
Blasting Bang Bang is one of the South Pole officers who’s in charge of a breakthrough operation. He had shown some extraordinary commitment in designing explosive ‘gifts’, so he was also ordered to line up a grand explosion in case their drill scheme goes down in flames. So we must stop Bang Bang in all haste while he’s still far from the wall. Victory over such an officer would be a major blow for the South Pole, so their army will need some time to reinforce once we succeed!

Guild event on GvG territory Kasanita’s Anger

On the Wind Island, exposed to storms from all sides of the compass, dwells the malevolent snow caterpillar Kasanita. To guard her icy jaws, the Southern forces have sent their best creations – explosive towers that they plan to use against White Beard. It's time for the strongest guilds of Arinar to venture into Kasanita's lair and strike first!

Part of the decorations for the Snowy Bound was purchased from South Pole. Like everything produced by the corporation, these decorations are not only of low quality but also deadly! They are guarded by dangerous creatures hired by the corporation: the snow caterpillar Kasanita and her minions - four mighty winds from all sides of the compass. The monsters must be stopped before they infiltrate the Snowy Bound! However, don't forget to take care of the explosives-filled decorations. You need to catch up with the Gold Gremlins, take their gold, which can be exchanged for dynamite. Even a small explosion will be enough to destroy the decorations. Hurry up, White Beard promised the greatest reward only to the most agile and skillful guild in Arinar!

You can prepare for battle in one of the four military camps. There, you can also encounter Explosive Trader - their services will come in handy. The territory of the Wind Island is crisscrossed with paths that will lead you straight to the five PvP bosses hiding at the edges and in the center of the location. Choose for yourself whether to follow the roads or go through the snowdrifts! Additionally, in the locations, you will find six explosive towers, and beyond that, the most interesting part begins!

To successfully complete your guild's event, you need to earn 1000 points by completing the following activities:
Killing one of the four PvP bosses (corner locations) - 250 points Destroying an explosive tower - 250 points Killing the PvP boss Kasanita - 750 points After defeating one of the bosses, a Gold-bearing Gremlin - a coin carrier - will appear at a random point on the map. Hurry to defeat the gremlin to obtain Coin Sack effect from it, but remember that this effect is only available to the Guild Commander! For each Coin Sack the Commander can receive explosives - Explosive Traders in the military camps will gladly accept payment and then head to one of the Towers to destroy it.

Be particularly attentive and protect the Commander while he completes the deal, as in the case of his death, Coin Sack may be taken by the Commander of your opponents! And if your leader managed to exchange Coin Sack for explosives, it will remain with him even after death. Remember that this is an elimination event, and the guild that accumulates the required number of points will leave the Wind Island.

Guild event in the open world Turtlehood

It seems that the legends of the massive ice turtles upon which the Snowy Bound rests have come to life! However, these ancient monsters have now risen against White Beard and the heroes of both Alliances. It's time to once again put them into eternal slumber!

Laying dormant deep beneath the Snowy Bound for ages, ancient Tormentoises got disturbed by the noise of the South Pole factories and the warmth of their machines. These beasts grew determined to take revenge on those who interfered with their eternal sleep and destroy the entire Snowy Bound. The White Beard needs your help in protecting the caverns from resentful Tormentoises!

    Rough Tormentoise
The Rough Tormentoise is rough for a reason, as this beast may stun an entire army with his shell jump!

    Frozen Tormentoise
The Frozen Tormentoise is the Snowy Bound’s own flesh and blood. Totally insensitive to cold, this monster carries huge ice growths on his shell which are just as sharp as his waraxe.

    Plated Tormentoise
The Plated Tormentoise is hardly vulnerable to blades and spears, as he’s ever carrying two huge shields aside from his strong shell.

    Needle Tormentoise
The Needle Tormentoise is the epitome of horror compared to his kind. Drawing eternal agony, he screams in pain while smashing his enemies with his forepaws that have long turned into ice needles.

    Assault Tormentoise
The Assault Tormentoise is the only of his breed who relies on more than mere strength, as gremlins put a cannon on his shell which may fire ravaging volleys.

Get ready for a heated battle, as the ice monsters dwelling in the underground caves will unleash the full power of their turtle-shell upon you! Some of them will try to slow you down, while others will summon their copies or strike you with deadly salvos. Don't forget that you can deal with the bosses outside of the event as well, as these giants are always ready for a fight!

    Raid Bosses

The cunning co-owners of South Pole corporation are accustomed to acting strategically, so both raid bosses appear in their offices simultaneously. To resurrect the defeated bosses, you will have to deal with each of them individually. Moreover, the death of one of the leaders of the Southern forces will significantly empower the other!

    Raid boss Mr Ping
An unrelenting co-owner of the South Pole, Mr Ping is the one who the corporation owes its wealth and power. Mr Ping is strongly committed to free market and industrial ways, and relies on those to beat the White Beard.

    Raid boss Mrs Knott
Mrs Knott is apparently the most charming and pretty of the whole South Pole board. Her passion for pink is a byword, while her umbrella’s tip is just as sharp and toxic as her speech. So you better get out of her way!

Mr. Ping and Mrs. Knott are masters of sophisticated combat techniques! First of all, weakening raid bosses become invulnerable and summon copies of each other capable of inflicting serious damage. The copies do not always act in harmony with the summoning bosses, so receiving negative effects from the boss guarantees not only the removal of effects from the copy but also strengthening.

Mr. Ping does not welcome uninvited guests and will deal damage and slow down anyone who dares to approach him, while Mrs. Knott is not at all against getting to know you better! Just don't be deceived, as the co-owner of the corporation will gladly turn you into her obedient servants and turn your combat power against allies!

    Attractions

White Beard has prepared plenty of surprises and gifts for you, and one of them is festive attractions! Crush the penguins-spies, unleash fountains of hot water or boiling oil on the malicious automatons, and try to catch as many frosty whirlwinds as possible! It's still not useful. We've mentioned multiple times before that it's not a matter of quantity but a matter of skill mechanism. Please change it to fire every 1 second or 0.5 sec.
It seems you don't want us to use this ability for long-range classes. I haven't seen a reason for that, but I cant provide feedback without trying it out.
You're absolutely right. This ability was unbalanced. This adjustment makes sense.
This was also unbalanced so this makes absolute sense too.
In my opinion, there is no need for any adjustment to this ability because its use in PvP is not widespread, and in PvE, if a Warlock does not use this ability and life drain simultaneously against powerful bosses, they are likely to die. This change has only been made due to the upgrade to the life-draining ability, but it doesn't change anything because the main reason Warlocks keep dying is that the life drain ability works every 2 seconds instead of every second.
Supposedly, this class is centered around damage, but it had only just come close to other damage classes last rebalance and now you're showing us that you're considering taking that power away again. As if having our power taken away wasn't enough, you've also reduced our mana-stealing power. This could deter us from using 'cooldown' and 'penetration' on our rings and bracelets in PvE, which means an extra loss of damage for us. That's why I consider it a significant nerf.
Please completely change this ability or make it passive bc no one is using it, and I don't think the recent changes will make any difference.
    Thanks i guess.

This change has been a significant shift that could caus many Warlock players to quit the game. We already had a durability issues for example a seeker or blade dancer can just stun us and kill us while we are under just 1 stun effect, and we were expecting more durability. I see reducing it from 25% to 20% as a major mistake. On top of that, increasing the cost from 4 mana to 8 mana is nothing short of a joke. We use the cloth armor which means the lower durability and we need to compensate that with our abilities. Especially when there's a class like the Blade Dancer, which wears heavy armor and yet has a big shield and deals more damage than the Warlock.

The changes seem to have been made with a focus on PvP, and there are things that are detrimental to PvE. Please don't let this class die also. It may not be easy, but a software solution could be developed to differentiate skills for PvE and PvP, making them distinct in each context.

I was always curious when looking at the icon of the Death Knight character, and I always wanted to know what the character would look like as a whole, so I decided to create a costume based on the image of the icon.

This was the strangest skill change update the game has ever had, I know that changing the damage absorption of shields to take defensive parameters into account is a good idea, but the shield durability values are so low that It seems to have gotten worse, at least for PVE. PVP has resilience that will greatly reduce player damage, so the change in shield will make a huge difference, but PVE doesn't have that.
Example, healers have a shield that absorbs 120% of magic power, staff users usually get 1000 magic power, so the shield absorbs 1200 damage? this is extremely low even for mobs, unless you use it on a super buffed tank. Healers usually have low defense and the shield will barely absorb damage if he uses it on himself, I prefer the old version.

And in addition, they changed some skills that were good the way they were to something completely different or with a weird effect. Like, Punitive Roots, which was used to immobilize several targets, has now become a self-defense skill based on luck, a very strange skill and out of place for a healer and support class. Illumination was a good AoE damage skill, now the damage is gone. Paladin's Prayer has now become a group buff that does damage, which is OK, but the old healing effect is gone forever. Block master used to be a healing skill, now it's a damage reduction skill, I know that Warden is a tank class but having an instant heal with each block is essentially better than a simple damage reduction, this seems like a big and unnecessary nerf . In general, I didn't like these changes.

Seems nice but the number should be at least 10%.
Or decreasing damage should makes more sense, because the skill itself works with the amount of health u lost

How does this make sense in any way??! People can literally add 1-2 accuracy enchant and this talent would seize to be useful. In what sense this talent would be useful? It incredibly frustrating that we actually have developers that thought this was a good idea. -5% accu for a Main talent?! A MAIN TALENT! You had 1 whole year to think of a better talent and this is what you thought of? The department is a joke honestly, Increase the accu to -15% for pvp and -10 for pve at the very least for it to have any impact

    @Holmes @Dr Strange @LeeLoo
Just imagine you grind all the way to get this talent and waste so much time and gold for someone to come and add 5% more accuracy and this talent is now useless. My head hurts just thinking this is the level of class balancing we have at this point

Rogue practically remains unchanged with this rebalance? Alot of class are even stronger now, You guys have to SERIOUSLY consider giving rogue a bit of attention, dodge duration was needed to go back to 15 secs yet remains unchanged. 0 resistance still for rogue?  it's absolutely necessary now more than ever to give it some resistance as even if reflex now guarantees 1 dodge, it literally lasts about 1 sec which means for next 4 secs, we have 0 DEFENSE! and the class Remains vulnerable. You deliberately ignored most other positives suggestions and literally changed mostly nothing about rogue and it was the #1 class most complained about lol
Where's the buff to the heal? We have the most excruciating complicated type of healing that we have to press 2 SKILLS to gain 15%?! Not to mention those hits have to land. The class is a MELEE CLASS, why make it complicated to gain some hp back, it should be instant or atleast buff amount to 25% hp regain. And the poison skill animation is still stupidly long. That one was a must fix

The issue with rogue is whenever you guys buff it, it is a slight amount compared to all other classes and the buff it gets makes the class practically in the same position as it was before since other classes are mostly better and rogue stays behind as usual.

These fixes below are a must for coming tests:

Increase dodge duration to 15 secs

Increase heal from 15% to 20% and fix the complicated use of it

Reflex guaranteed dodge cd need to shorten from 4 secs to 2 secs.

Drakoslayd got a reaction from Malik Campbell in Priest in 1v1
Warspear Online appears to balance in accordance to the 3v3 or 5v5 arena setting and the War setting.

No class is balanced for 1v1 as classes such as Reaper and BD would be the dominant classes.

Priest is a support class and they play to that well.

I do think Necromancer and Priest should be buffed to have a better role in arena and other parts of the game but we will have to see if the devs thinks the same as us
