World Event: Storm of Bones
Driven by a thirst for power, Tasa'akh the Unbound ventured into the Valley of Bones in search of an ancient artifact – only to lose his mind. Now, the rogue mage lurks on Irselnort, twisting the island into a realm of nightmares. Heroes from both Alliances must rise against the maddened sorcerer before his corruption spreads across all of Arinar!
Stage I: Blazing Fury
The Mage's Guild of Almahad treasures its ancient relics, but not all mages honor the old ways. Once one of their own, Tasa'akh the Unbound has stolen a unique artifact – the Oracle's Staff – which carries a formidable power, whispering to its bearer. For the strong-willed, its murmurs bring prophecy, but for Tasa'akh, the voices brought madness. Now under the staff's influence, he has fled to Irselnort, spreading chaos in his wake. His escape from Nadir-Sard has disturbed the local elementals, igniting them into a frenzy of flame. Extinguish the uprising before the city is reduced to ash!
Stage II: Sandsnare
The Oracle's Staff continues to cloud Tasa'akh's mind with even darker thoughts, pushing him deeper into insanity. As he flees, he leaves behind deadly traps powered by runic stones scattered across the land. To survive the raging sandstorm, you must destroy the elemental energy locked within these stones. Fight off the furious wild boars – they're none too pleased with this unnatural weather!
Stage III: True Companion
The crazed sorcerer has vanished without a trace – but hope is not lost. The Mage's Guild has sent its finest tracker to hunt down Tasa'akh, a gifted hound with a nose for the scent of relics and curses. Protect the dog as it follows Tasa'akh's fading trail!
Stage IV: Tasa'akh the Unbound
The Oracle's Staff has fully consumed Tasa'akh, turning him from a man into a wild beast! Prepare to face the ultimate threat and defend Irselnort from total destruction!
Tournament Guild Event in a GvG Area: Treasures of the Archipelago
The blazing Lava Archipelago awakens once more, beckoning a new wave of adventurers to its shores! Will the warriors of Arinar claim the treasures hidden among the islands, crush their rivals, and survive the wrath of ancient horrors? The battle for fame and fortune begins now!
The mighty Snorlar calls on brave heroes once again for a guild competition! This time, adventurers must scour the islands for treasures and deliver them to the archipelago antiquarians in exchange for tournament points. But the path to victory is far from safe! Rare chests and ancient relics are guarded by the monstrous offspring of Volcano, and anyone who seizes these coveted treasures becomes marked by dangerous magic. Carry your spoils carefully – enemy players can ambush you at any moment and steal everything you've earned!
The only way to reach the archipelago is through the docks within the military camps, where ships set sail toward danger, treasure, and perilous battles. Passage requires a fee: a gold coin from a sack that can be found right there in the camp.
The islands of the archipelago are connected by a maze of narrow bridges and hide untold riches: sacks of gold, treasure-filled chests guarded by monsters, and powerful relics dropped by defeating bosses. Every trophy earned brings glory and strengthens your guild's standing in the tournament – but the most valuable prizes can quickly turn the hunter into the hunted!
At the beginning of the battle, guilds will face Snorlar himself! Defeating the lord of the archipelago grants a huge number of points and awakens three deadly bosses across the islands: the Spirit of Magma, Baldrazar, and Gorefiend. Although defeating Snorlar does not reward a relic, victory over him temporarily empowers the entire guild with extraordinary strength! Only the Guild Commander can activate this powerful blessing.
The Spirit of Magma, Baldrazar, and Gorefiend each carry a special relic. Once obtained, the Guild Commander must then deliver the relic to the archipelago antiquarians waiting on wooden platforms between the islands to claim valuable points. However, relics can only be sold on the opposite side of the map. If the Commander falls in battle, the relic passes into enemy hands!
Near the volcano's mouth lie the shards of Snorlar's fury, relics imbued with cursed power. Only the hand of a Commander can awaken their strength. While these relics grant no additional points, they affect the entire guild, providing powerful bonuses at the cost of constant damage. Their power is fleeting, so use Snorlar's gift wisely!
Claim victory by outscoring rival guilds and earning points through various activities:
Kill an Archipelago Martyr – 1 point
Kill an enemy player – 2 points
Kill a Volcano Spawn – 3 points
Kill a Molten Guardian – 5 points
Kill a Cursed Executioner – 10 points
Collect a sack of gold – 15 points
Loot a treasure chest – 50 points
Sell a relic – 250 points
Kill the Spirit of Magma – 300 points
Kill Gorefiend – 300 points
Kill Baldrazar – 300 points
Kill Snorlar – 750 points
Rotating Competitive Guild Raid: Shadow Beneath the Dunes
Disaster has swept across Almahad, plunging even the fiercest desert tribes into fear and despair. In their search for salvation, the nomads of the Golden Sands turned to an ancient horror – the bloodthirsty Jarak. Rumors of the sinister cult surrounding the creature have already spread far beyond Almahad's shores! Will the heroes of Arinar have the courage to face this monster in a new competitive raid?
Jarak is a beast that should have been destroyed long ago. Instead, the nomads of the Golden Sands chose to worship it like a living god. Countless warriors have fallen victim to their senseless superstitions, unknowingly offering themselves as sacrifices. Some were devoured by the creature, while others were twisted into parasitic creatures that now swarm among the remains of Jarak's feasts. To this day, no one has dared stop this horrific ritual or stop the spreading plague...
From the moment the battle begins, Jarak will emerge before the warriors of Arinar in all his terrifying glory. Strike the monster without hesitation – once weakened, the beast will burrow beneath the sands, opening portals to the trembling basin. There, raiders must face Jarak's massive limbs, each possessing its own deadly powers. Only by destroying enough of these appendages will you force Jarak back onto the battlefield. But beware – as the monster weakens further the portals will reopen once more, and Jarak's enraged limbs will return stronger than before!
Prepare your raid party carefully: higher difficulty levels increase both the number of active portals and the number of limbs your team must destroy!
Against Jarak, even the desert itself becomes your enemy. Starting at difficulty level 6, heroes will encounter quicksand that drains Mobility over time. As your Mobility steadily decreases during combat, your character suffers increasing penalties: each missing point reduces movement speed by 0.5%, Attack Speed by 0.4%, and Skill Cooldown rate by 0.8%.
The only way to preserve your strength is to keep moving! Traversing the scorching sands restores Mobility, allowing heroes to resist the desert's draining effects. Additionally, destroying certain limbs can weaken the quicksand's effects! Each raid participant can keep track of their current Mobility level using a special bar at the top of the screen.
Jarak grows stronger with every difficulty level, and only true heroes will be able to defeat the beast and put an end to the bloody cult! And remember: all mechanics from the Golden Sands of Almahad are fully active during the raid.
Open-World Guild Events
As the celebration draws near, the dark legends of Arinar's past rise once more. Only the bravest heroes will be able to stand against the encroaching darkness before it consumes the world! Complete the requirements to unlock each event and prepare to battle fearsome bosses!
Flame of Wrath
An ancient dragon that once guarded the Spear of War now bears the mantle of the Avenger. It bestowed its great fury and wisdom upon Berengar before taking eternal rest in the Hidden Sanctuary – but its enmity for Garahan was so deep that it found no solace in death and rose from the ashes as a fearsome bone beast. Lay this creature to rest in battle to restore peace to the Ashen Coast.
Deadly Stare
A spawn of Chaos, the Beholder was once held captive by Berengar himself. With his disappearance, the Beholder was freed and now lurks deep within the caverns of Irselnort, poised to wreak havoc on the island. Calling upon his kin in the Abyss, the Beholder has unleashed an invasion of Chaos upon the lands of Irselnort! The only way to silence his malevolent summons is to face the Beholder and kill him!
Lost Soul
In a time long past, the Demonologist's pursuit of forbidden knowledge drove him to the brink of madness, forfeiting his soul in exchange for immeasurable power. He joined forces with Sam Hain, but was ultimately defeated and forced to flee to the one place no one would dare follow – beyond the Shadow Gates. With the threat fading, he has reappeared on Irselnort, taking refuge in a newly unearthed dungeon. Only by meeting his end can the Demonologist's thirst for vengeance be quenched!
And remember, you don't have to wait for the event to face them – the druid bosses are always ready for a fight!

Interface Improvements
With Update 13.4, we're starting a major overhaul of the quick action bar, quick menu, and radial menu interfaces. The first stage of improvements brings refreshed visuals and new customization features designed to make the interface more flexible and allow players to tailor it to their preferences.
Quick Action Bar Update
After carefully reviewing feedback from players who participated in the focus group testing, we're ready to introduce the first wave of updates to the quick action bar!
Most importantly, you can now customize the layout of the Quick Action Bar to better match your preferences and screen size. A new display mode selector has been added under Settings → Screen → Quick Action Bar:
Adaptive: Automatically switches between one-row and two-row layouts depending on screen width.
Two rows: Always displays the quick action bar in two rows regardless of screen size.
Single row: Always displays the bar in a single row. If all slots don't fit, a toggle button will appear allowing you to switch between rows.
Спойлер
Interface Scaling Improvements
Interface scaling has also been updated and now features five preset scaling options that automatically adapt to the current screen resolution. These settings are available under Settings → Screen → Interface Scale and include:
Smoother scaling behavior
More consistent and predictable interface resizing
Proper aspect ratio preservation on PC
The Compact UI option has been removed from the screen settings. Players who previously used this option will now have the lowest available UI scale set.
Спойлер
Quick Menu Improvements
Updated the design of the quick menu buttons.
Added text labels for buttons in the quick menu panels.
Radial Menu Design Improvements
Alongside the overall visual refresh, we are updating how the Opaque Menus option under Settings → Screen interacts with the radial menu interface. These buttons will now always remain fully opaque, while the setting itself will continue to work normally for all other interface elements.
Additionally, radial menu buttons now properly scale according to the selected interface scaling settings.
Other Changes
Adjusted the attributes of Dummy monsters located on the faction islands, Irselnort, Ayvondil, and Almahad: their maximum health has been increased and now scales with the zone in which they are located, while defensive attributes have been removed.
Active game account links will now appear at the top of the list of available authorization methods in the Account menu.
Added the NPC Sage Al-Mu'alim to the Catacombs lobby, offering an ability shop that accepts Crimson Corundum.
Fixed a bug where the Study button appeared for talents within unavailable talent clusters.
That's all for now – but stay tuned for more details on rewards, gifts, and more changes on release day!
See you at the open test!

saicreed got a reaction from Koya Wheel in Saicreed - US(Sapphire) - A Beginner's Eye Opener - Gameplay GuideGreetings everyone, especially to the new comers!
I am ♥Saicreed♥, a player who has been around for some time now. I made this guide to help newbies understand the game to a degree, teach them a tip or two about about everything there is and what to expect as they progress on. Most of the content of this guide are things that I have taught to new players I have assisted in game.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Character and Realm (server) Selection
Choose any faction and class of your liking.
There are twenty classes available to choose from—five from each of the four factions. Each of them has a specific role in battle. A description of their basic skills are included in the selection so pick the one that piques your interest.
Some classes will have a hard time at the beggining while others not that much. Tanker and healer classes have the advantage of surviving longer in early games. Class with invisibility can pass waves of mobs easily. That being said all character class matters in the end. However, the classes Charmer from Forsaken and Beastmaster from the Firstborn are popular starting picks for their summon abilities which are useful early on in game.
For choosing a server you might want to pick the server that corresponds your location to reduce latency. Big events on the servers occur differently in time and are held at favourable hours during evening. So if you are a student or someone having a busy day job it is good to choose the right server for you. Another factor also to consider is the server population, it is up to you if you want to join an already populated server or join a server with fewer players in it and make a name for yourself and help the players in the server grow.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Welcome to the Forge of Gods. You are now a part of Arinar's history.
This map will teach you the primary lessons of the game in a straight forward questline. Follow on Orin's order and be rewarded handsomely which includes an Elder Firebeard, a minion that can greatly help you from start. If you just started and didn't have this section of game that means you are playing on an old account. You might want to register a new account if you want additional rewards from the start.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Starting Island (Map 1) and the Basics of the Game
⪻────𖤓────⪼
You are now thrown away to your respective island. Each faction has their own starting island, quests differ each map. Execute what you have learned in the Forge of Gods and prove yourself to be a worthy adventurer.
During your progress in game you will encounter boss monsters with ridiculous amount of HP. As a newbie you can't handle them by yourself. Here comes the usefulness of the Elder Firebeard kicks in, it is a great support minion able to assist you from the very start. Later on these bosses will get progressively strong and you might require assistance from other players in game.
Warspear Online is an MMO. You can ask players to help you once you get access to the world chat, or if lucky enough you might encounter another player who also needs it. Party up with them and slay the boss. Don't forget to give thanks to everyone in the party chat.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Dungeons and Rewards
Dungeons are marked as a skull icon on the map. Most of them have requirements you need to pass before you can enter especially in later parts of the game. Starting isle dungeons are made for a solo player which you can tackle with little to no difficulty by the help of Elder Firebeard.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Resilience and Ferocity item rewards
During your progress you will be rewarded with items having Resilience and Ferocity. These stats are mainly for PvP and not intended for PvE/questing. Resilience increases the damage you take from monsters while reduces damage from players. Ferocity on the other hand increases damage to players but reduces the damage done to monsters. Use them if you want to try out Arena and get lucky to find a match where you'll lose most of the time.
You're a beginner after all and you might get matched against some beastly characters. Instead focus now on questing and PvE items before anything else. Equip these items only as a last resort, use them only if you have nothing to equip.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Equipment Amplification
By the time reading this guide I hope you haven't destroyed any items yet from amplifying. If you happen to and have your account connected to google play games then you'll get 1000 exp (Hey, at least you got something).
Amplifying is the way to enhance an item's damage or defense but the higher you go the harder the chance of amplifying and the higher chance of destroying your item is. To ensure your item's safety from destruction you must use Signs of Imperishability. Using Signs does not increase chance of amplifying.
Two-handed weapons, staffs, and bows are harder to amplify compared to one-handed weapons when amplifying past the +1 upgrade.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Battle Pass, a Gift for premium and free account
Upon reaching level 6 you will be granted access to the Battle Pass. Activating Battle Pass will grant awesome rewards as you complete seasonal tasks and earn points. However it costs Miracle Coins, but dont worry since you can buy it from other players too (you might need a hefty amount of gold though).
The free version of Battle Pass also holds useful buffs, minions, gold, signs, and sometimes a costume at the end so don't feel left out by the premium content rich players has. Just try to complete those daily and weekly seasonal tasks for those juicy seasonal points.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
The Talent tree and Knowledge
The talent tree sections are unlocked reaching level 5. You also get a decent amount of knowledge as you gain in level. Here you can improve the growth of skills and stats of your character. All classes have different talent trees. Knowledge and a gold fee is needed to upgrade your talent. But for now try to read what upgrades are awaiting for your character.
Upgrading your character's talent might take up some of your riches and time since there is a cap on how much knowledge you can earn through questing and running dungeons. On normal days the cap for knowledge is 1,200 on questing/arena, 500 on killing elites, and dungeons have 1,500 cap but sometimes the devs will be utmost generous and double it on events sometimes triple the cap! Yay!

Joining a Guild
I think now is the right time to discuss about guilds. If you still haven't joined one then you are missing out on the following stuffs. Click the spoilers to view the benefits of joining a guild.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Irselnort (Map 2) and the Players on the other side of the Island
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Congratulations or "gz" to you, as what players say in game. You finally made it to the second island. With your previous experience from the starting island I believe you can handle most of the stuff now, but that's not the case in this map.
Irselnort is a territory for both warring sides, the Legion(Forsaken, Mountain Clan)and Sentinel(Chosen, Firstborn). Each side can attack the opposite factions freely with no consequences so be careful. Progressing through the map means you are also progressing towards the enemy's side. Enemy players can also kill your minion so be very wary of them.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Battle for Teritorries
It is a staple event that happens twice a week on Irselnort (time varies depending on the server). It requires the participation of all the players. It is a full blown war against players of opposing factions. You might experience lag and screen glitches caused by all the players and their flashy skills.
The objective of the event is to invade and destroy the flags placed on the enemy towns, each flag destroyed will determine the buffs you will get at the end of the event. The event takes an hour before it ends. Destroying the enemy's last flag ends the event too. The buffs received will greatly enhance your stats for a day or three(depending on the event).
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Norlant Swamps (Map 3) and the Frustrations of Dying
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Time, Patience, and Luck. These three are needed for every soul who dares to venture in this notorious parts of Arinar, the Norlant Swamp. This island is brutal and unforgiving to everyone. If you will ask a player what their favorite map is it's obviously not Norlant Swamps. The swamp operates on teleport portals to advance your character's location and these portals doesn't have a fix target location, they teleport you randomly anywhere in map! Except for the portal that leads you back to the town.
You might be surprised to see so many yellow quests available on the swamps once you step foot in it but the only questline that matters here is the quest "Echo of Centuries". It is the only quest necessary to advance in game once you get instructed to go here from Irselnort.
After finishing the string of quests after Echo of Centuries, the questline will lead you back to Irselnort to finish the final batch of quests there.
The only thing players go back in this map is to hunt the hydra, a worthwhile boss which gives decent drops if you kill it. But getting there is frustrating for everyone.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Astral Labyrinth
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Your first encounter with the Labyrinth or "lab" might be to get the Star Coffer from the Stargate Keeper, you will need assistance getting it. Ask for help from other players. The Astral Labyrinth might look a Nightmare to beginners but after unlocking the daily quests in the lab you will find yourself running it daily. Why? The daily quests give decent amount of exp and the potion rewards you can sell to npcs for gold(or use them).
Running through the Labyrinth requires a party especially for weak players but don't worry as players you can join go through the lab on a daily basis.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Currencies and ways to earn
⪻────𖤓────⪼
As of now you already noticed that gold isn't the only currency used in game, although it is the only currency you can transfer to other players directly. Most of the currencies are personal and are obtained in different means.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Ayondil (Map 4)
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Each town here are described by players as T1 to T5 for fast typing which I will do the same in this guide. All five towns here has a dungeon that requires faction reputation to enter a certain difficulty. You gain reputations by doing quests on that town and running through the dungeon in its territory.
For T1 you might have to stay there for a bit and do daily quests when done with the main ones as there is a dungeon quest that requires 1760 reputation (you need to run easy to hard) before you go on. Same mechanics will apply to T2 but the following next towns will have the dungeon quests as optional and not be needed to unlock the other towns.
After unlocking T3 dailies or the blue quests you will see some quests there that requires killing a single enemy, this could be a boss or a mini boss. You should accept those quest and stack them up maybe for two days or three until they are piled up and then that's the time you should do it together with other players in a party. Players just casually call other questors in world chat as "t3 pm me" so join them if you are free. Same thing is for T4 so try to finish the main quests for T4 quickly so you can collect those daily quests. A quick note: Sell those scroll rewards from T3 and T4 quests for gold as each costs around 200g each.
The Ship Graveyard or most of T5 is different from the other towns of Ayvondil as most of its territory is underwater and does require oxygen. It is the first territory in game that has regional gears and talent that offers bonuses that only works on that specific region (except Resilience and Ferocity for PvP, these regional stats are for PvE). Venturing deep in the waters may be fatal if underequipped and underleveled.
⪻────𖤓────⪼
Leveling Up!
Once you had those Elixir of Experience pots from either daily gift or market alongside with buffs from either Guild or Battle Pass— gaining exp while doing those stacked T3 and T4 quests will guarantee a ton of exp.

Almahad (Map 5)
⪻────𖤓────⪼
As of the making of this guide the Island of Almahad is the latest map added to the game. I won't tackle much of it since it will take up some time before you can get here and monsters here are extremely powerful (you should be an intermediate player if you want to do some questing here, this is only a beginner's guide lol). Players describe this map as "just like T5 ayvondil, but in the desert" which I agree on but also way harder. Here are some few things you need to know about this map:

If not then we need to move maps just to switch to pvp gears and fight back against players when we are already fighting against mobs.

saicreed got a reaction from zikri in Saicharms - US Saphire (Poem)It is glad we have experienced Arinar's beloved day once more,
To seek treasures, grow strong and to learn of its unknown and growing lore,
Let us all login, gather around with our friends and get ready to play,
For it is our beloved Warspear Online's sixteenth birthday.
From the vast steppes and swamps to the burning desert under the scorching sun,
To magical forests, floating islands and strolling under the sea we did have fun,
To the endless grind in dungeons, arena matches, crafting items and daily quest,
We all competed in the battles on our journey on becoming the best.
We thank everyone from the creators and to the players,
From the celebrations and events we've been all these years,
We have withstood the test of time, facing all kinds of adversary,
But one thing is for sure and that's getting ready for our seventeenth anniversary.

saicreed got a reaction from Jcbref in The Spirit of the MountainLong time have passed since the White Wanderer created the world of Arinar, a lot were written through out the ages. A lot were also forgotten, trampled upon by the unstoppable march of time. Some were told but not believed, and some were changed for the good of the many. One of these so-called forgotten stories involves the Legendary Berengar, on an unknown feat upon landing the frozen shores of Godgorath.
******
They were all weary. The men soaked in rain, tears and sweat. It was the third storm that hit them on the ocean. They all lost hope except one and that was Berengar, the leader of the outcast from the mainland. They were in search of a new land, a land they could call their own. And finally like everyone hoped, they had found it. A snowy mountainous island in the placed atop the blue sea.
When Berengar set foot on the land he knew something was wrong. It was already owned, he can feel it. The Spirit of the Mountain whispered to him to flee if they wanted to live. Berengar tried to talk to the spirit but it did not answer. For a moment they thought that the night has arrived early, but they were wrong. Up in the sky was a black figure with a shape no one can tell. The only significant details they can tell were a pair of long horns protruding out of the beasts head, wings that stretched from the end of the horizon to another and if the people were not exaggerating back then a tail long enough to touch the ground from the sky.
They shivered in cold and fear. The beast gave off a roar like the sound of hundred thunders that pierced the ears of the men. The flap of its wings were strong enough to make a storm as men held to whatever they can hold to to not get blown away by the raging wind. And for a second within the blink of an eye the beast's tail had already swept the ships landed on the shore without them noticing it.
The men lost hope. Their knees kissed deep in the snow as they kneeled and beg for forgiveness to the hovering beast above. The beast although gifted with incredible wings, horns and a tail lacked a single feature; it has no ears. The wails of the wounded sounded silent to him, the pleads of cries sounded air to him and the words of forgiveness sounded nothing to him. But in truth the beast have ears, sharp to hear every rustle of your clothes and hear your every breath. The beast justs refuses to listen to the poor men.
Lucky enough for the remaining unfateful outcasts some of them managed to flee and stuff themselves in a cave that if they hadn't find out would have been the end of them. All hope was lost, including Berengar himself. But the spirit of the mountain once again whispered to Berengar.
"You, you have a strong mind and heart. But that alone is not enough to face the Ririkan." A cold voice talked to him.
"YOU! WHO ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU TALKING TO ME!" Berengar shouted that the cave silenced. The men thought if Berengar has gone insane.
"Not now, we shall talk later. Until then don't lose hope." The voice faded away with its last words. Berengar waited for the voice to come once more but it did not. He waited till night time but still not a whisper has touched his ear. He decided not to sleep that night for he might miss the voice and never return. But for someone who has been on a voyage like Berengar, a sleep comes easy when you are tired.
In his dreams Berengar stood alone in the cold plains. He remembered the place, it was where the beast appeared in the sky. He scouted the place once more, he was alone. He couldn't even feel the presence of the beast. It was of course a dream.
A gust of snow appeared out of nowhere. He thought it was the beast flapping its enormous wings once again. Berengar reached out for his axe, but it was not there, but still he fixed his stance and prepared for what will happen next.
A stag appeared from the wind, it's horn was luminous as a full moon. It's nose pointed up and down as it pranced towards him.
"We have finally met." The stag talked through his mind.
"It is you, the voice. Who are you?" Berengar asked.
"I am the Spirit of the Mountain, I am the tree that sprung out of the rock, I am the crow that waits patiently for the my prey to die, I am the wind that brings cold to your skin and I am the flower covered in snow waiting for the spring to come."
"That is a long name for a stag with shining horns."
"Indeed that is a long name for a stag like me." The stag laughed as it changed its appearance to a young bear.
Berengar was amazed. He knew it was just a dream but he felt a strong power within the spirit.
"The monster, that beast, how can we defeat it." Berengar bent down and asked the bear transformed from a stag.
The Spirit of the Mountain was silent for a moment. Berengar did not notice that the bear transformed to a wolf. It amazes him.
"The Ririkan," the wolf said in Berengar's head. "That is what they call him, no that's what he call himself. To others he is the destruction, to you he is the beast, but to me he is the conqueror of my land."
"Is it possible to defeat him?" Berengar asked the spirit.
"Yes, but hear me out first about the story of the Ririkan.
The wolf told Berengar about the Ririkan.
"Eras ago when Harad's hammer shattered the Spear on Garahan's claw, the shards of the spear was scattered all around Arinar. No one knows where the shards are, it seems that the White Wanderer himself has hid them so that none may ever use them again. Except the Ririkan, nothing was known about him about the past. The only thing known about him is that he is powerful and he has a shard of spear within him."
"He is so powerful that lands you had never heard of will never be heard again because of him, and I fear my land will be one of this." The spirit added.
"So how do we stop him, the Ririkan?" Berengar eagerly asked.
"Soon you will know Berengar, but first I want to know more about you. You seem interesting."
Berengar smiled. He knew it was a trade. Knowledge in exchange for knowledge. Now it was his part to barter.
He told the spirit about his story. That he cursed his own kin, about his inextinguishable hatred towards the people living comfy and warm on the grassy plains and the inhabitants of the forest.
"Now I see it, despite the strong will and dedication you have, a black spot still resides in your heart." The spirit spoke.
"My strong will and dedication comes from the black spot in my heart, spirit." Berengar proudly said.
The spirit laughed continuously changing his form back to a bear then to the stag while still laughing.
"Yet despite your hatred, you still love your people don't you?" The spirit asked curiously .
"Yes spirit, I love them as they were myself."
"Yourself? I see." The spirit changed form from a stag to an exact image of Berengar. The two looked at each others eye.
"You like changing forms do you?"
"Do you like it?"
"Yes, it amazes me."
"Now tell me, what do you see in me?"
"A strong man."
The spirit nodded and gazed back to Berengar's eye. "That's what I also see in you."
"Now Berengar, listen on how to defeat Ririkan."
Berengar swallowed, clenched his fist and opened his ears wide thinking he might miss a word or two. The spirit changed form back to a wolf, but it was different this time. The wolf held something in its mouth, a shard. Berengar didn't need an explanation what it was. He was terrified and glad both at the same time.
"Yes you are right Berengar, this is indeed a shard from the Spear brought into Arinar by the White Wanderer." The spirit read Berengar's mind. "Take it."
"But why? Why me? You have a shard of the spear that means you can face him right?"
"The Ririkan alone is strong even without the shard. This shard I have within me is not enough to face him. That's why I need a strong one like you Berengar."
"I am not that strong as you think mighty spirit, I am a human afterall. Even if the Ririkan doesn't possess a shard I believe I will be no match for him in battle."
"But now you possess one, it will be even."
Berengar had doubts. Inside him he knew that even if he had the shard he will still be no match for the Ririkan.
"Take it," the spirit said once more. "Take it if you want to save your people."
A sudden urge inside him made him snatch the shard on the wolf's mouth when the spirit reminded him of his people.
"Good." The spirit gladly said as Berengar took the shard.
Berengar inspected the shard. It seemed an ordinary piece of metal. But this metal was once a part of a powerful weapon that divided Arinar in to two. And a small piece of it was enough to bring destruction such as the Ririkan.
"What is it that you want for the exchange?" Berengar asked the spirit while toying with the shard.
"None, just defeat the Ririkan and this land that I own, I will gladly give to you."
"I thank you spirit of the mountain." Berengar bowed down to the wolf but when he raised his head up the spirit changed form again to the stag with shining horns.
"Who are you really, Spirit of the Mountain?"
"I guess you should have known that by now but it seems you still haven't. I am that shard you are holding."
"This is you?" Berengar looked at both the spirit and the shard.
"Yes, that is me. When the spear broke and shattered, I got thrown away in this place and I became a spirit that guards this land. Go now, Berengar. You have my blessing."
Berengar turned around but shifted back to the spirit immediately.
"Shard, I mean Spirit of the Mountain, do you happen to have a name?"
"A name? I suppose I have, it is Godgorrath."
"Godgorrath." He repeated.
"Sleep well Berengar, you still have a battle to fight."
Just as the spirit's word ended Berengar was awakened by a loud noise. The cave he is in shook, it was no mistake it was the Ririkan. As he stood up from his sleep he felt something in his hand, he smiled knowing that all that happened was not just a dream. The shard same as what the spirit of the mountain gave him in his dreams looks exactly the same as what he is holding right now.
"Thank you Godgorrath," he whispered to the shard.
Berengar rushed towards the entrance of the collapsing cave but was stopped by his own men.
"Chieftain! We are no match for that beast!" Said one of his men.
"Berengar please! Don't die, save yourself at least. Find a way out of this land! We'll handle the beast for now, find a new cave, one nearer to the sea so that you can flee instantly on a raft." Said another.
Berengar knew his men is hard to please. With the remaining time he had he told them the story about his dream, the spirit and the shard with haste. The men took not a minute to understand what is happening.
"I shall now leave my men, this battle is mine. Until then stay safe." Berengar said to his men.
"No, we will not leave you alone." His men repeated.
As Berengar expected, his men are hard to please. He smiled, grateful that he has men like them.
"Wear your best gear my men! We will go into battle!" Berengar shouted on the top of his lungs.
"YESSS!!!" His men even shouted louder.
The battle took a day. Berengar on the lead provoked the Ririkan to come down by reflecting the shard on the sun to the beast's eye. The Ririkan darted down on the sky with its horns downwards. The men were unable to believe what they saw as Berengar stopped the beast's horn by his hand. Berengar jumped on the Ririkan's back and cut its left wing with the shard. The maimed beast no longer has the ability to fly making the battle on ground, a favourable battle for the men. Hunters volley uncountable amounts of arrows as others chopped down the beast's enormous horns with axes. Finally the beast was now weakened to death but unable to die, it still lives but unable to move.
"Use me to kill the Ririkan." The shard whispered to him.
"What is that Godgorrath?" Berengar pretended he did not hear.
"Use me, that beast has now taken the powers of the shard. That means he is a living shard. He is a shard himself now."
"But that means...."
"Yes, I will be gone too. A shard for a shard. You must be familiar with that kind of ruling."
"No, you are the reason why the Ririkan is dead, not me."
"Not me, you are Berengar, I'm just a tool here right in your hands."
"You know I can't do that."
"You must, save your men at least. They risked their live as you have risked your life to them."
"Thank you, spirit of the mountain." Berengar nodded to the shard. The spirit didn't say another word.
As Berengar stuck the shard in the beast's heart. It gave off a painful roar that lasted minutes, they did not pity him. At last the beast silenced and became dust that was blown easily by the wind. The men shouted in joy, all of them. Each one patting each others back of the ones still alive. Even the ones that has lost a love one were overcome by joy, all except Berengar whose inside was mourning for the lost of a part of him.
Many years have gone by and the Ririkan never returned, same with Godgorath. Never has been another incident similar to the Ririkan's. But to this day they say that the Spirit of the Mountain is still guarding his land alongside Berengar.

But to this day they say that the Spirit of the Mountain is still guarding his land alongside Berengar.

saicreed got a reaction from Drakoslayd in The Spirit of the MountainLong time have passed since the White Wanderer created the world of Arinar, a lot were written through out the ages.

In his disappearance, the Betrayed Soul carved out an armor made from the blood of both the Legion's and the Sentinel's. He died crafting the armor by pouring his own blood in it. Some say the armor itself is curse that if you wear it the Betrayer's Soul will take over your body. Up until now no one has dared to wear it.

saicreed got a reaction from Speedom in Double tapping on skills to use it on yourselfWhat about if we can double tap a skill so we can use it directly on our character? For example: Healing skills and buff skills. Double tap it to use it on yourself. Also some aoe skills like Earthquake for shaman and Pool and Circle for warlock. This is useful when you are surrounded by mobs, just double tap it to cast it in your spot and ensure every mob next to you is hit. Because sometimes even if you cast in your character spot the delay/lag makes it miss the mobs attacking you. Im sure there are some skills in elf too that you can double tap to cast it on around your character. (I dont play elf so i dont know, im mc)

saicreed got a reaction from lallouss in Spearshooter ScorpionSpearshooter Scorpion
Once upon a time, an elven engineer working under Langasard invented a magical weapon, it was called the "Spearshooter", a huge crossbow made from the wood of a magical tree from the forests of Melvendil. It magically produces huge arrows as big as a spear when you pull its strings, it means this weapon never runs out of ammunition. The weapon was intended for the invasion of Godgorath and if possible the destruction of Moraktar. The Langasard army made countless of them even cutting down the last standing magical tree of Melvendil. The elven elders warned the elven engineer about its harms, but he did not listen.
They mounted the spearshooters on battle ships and gathered all the experienced captains and crewmen from Melvendil and Langasard. The warships sailed forward towards the cursed lands, blue sails fluttered against the sea winds. The men laughed, as if victory has been achieved. Little did they know of the disaster that will fall upon them.
A raging storm sweeped the whole fleet leaving nothing but annihilation. Harad did not smile upon them, neither did Nuadu. They called upon their names, some even called out for Garahan the black dragon. Nothing came, the storm strenghtened instead. It was the wrath of the gods. All the ships, crews and spearshooters all went down in the deepest of Arinar's waters.
The elven engineer was among the drowned. With the cutting down of the last magical tree the spearshooters were never made again. Several attempts were made to built another one using different wood, but all failed with the last of the magical tree gone and with the death of the elven engineer. The spearshooter became a legend. And like all legends, it now only exists in books. Everyone had forgotten about it, until now.
Scouts among the Maliat elves report a wreckage of a pirate ship riddled with arrows as huge as spears. Frogle corpses were found shot along the coasts of Ayvondil after an attempted raid. Numerous other pirates and sea creatures were found dead by scouts with huge arrows impaled on them. Until one day a scout reported seeing a huge crossbow coming out of the sea shooting a pirate ship on a great distance, it was being carried by a huge scorpion on its back. Several civilians also report these crossbow carrying scorpions fending of pirates and sea creature attacks.
"It was the spearshooter," old folks say. The long lost weapon drowned to the sea has now emerged with a new purpose. Not for the destruction of the Legion, but for the destruction of even greater evil. But was has happened to them? And how did it happen?
Centuries ago when the spearshooter fleet was wiped away, they were saved by huge scorpions unknowingly living on the depths of Arinar. They are kind and calm despite their intimidating looks. Their cold hard shell gave off a crescent blue in contrast to their fiery crimson eyes. The crew were sheltered by these scorpions in an air-trapped cave in the depth of the sea. There, the elven engineer realized his mistake. Melvendil was destroyed not because of the Mountain Clan nor the Forsaken, but because of him. He destroyed the last living magical tree of Melvendil for what? To cause more destruction? Destruction will lead into more destruction. The elven engineer was filled with remorse, he failed his task as a Firstborn –to protect the land of Arinar.
With the few surviving men they had in the dim lit air-trapped cave they tried fixed what they had done wrong. One by one they removed the spearshooters from the sunken ships and mounted them on the scorpions that have saved them. They made sure that every scorpion will have a spearshooter mounted on its back. For years and decades the crew removed, fixed and placed these weapons until every last crustacean of its kind has a giant crossbow slammed on its back. They all knew that these scorpions will do the right job, a right job better than theirs.
The spearshooter scorpions remained near the air trapped cave for some centuries until it decided to venture out into the known world of Arinar. Perhaps it has sensed the greater evil that lurks beyond the unknown waters of Ayvondil? Or maybe it has sensed something else? No matter what the reason is the spearshooter's real purpose is about to be told.
