EO3 arrived now and I mapped out the first floor and reached lv5. I really enjoy it and it's a good challange, great lynx is not fun to find early :P playing a unconventional team without tank or healer as primary class, but I will sub my farmer to monk if I can last that long without healer. I love status crippling in general and after people NOT recommending crippling based strategies, it just made me want to do it more! So all synergy is cripple based, I can tell this game has it challanges comeing for me :)

Life is better in pixels for sure and right now im going back to the roots too looking for those singleplayer rpg gems that made me the gamer i am today  . WS sadly just keeps sinking like a swiss cheese on open water and i havent seen the trend changing for over a year now. Im not a chatty person, in any aspect of my social life, but i do miss the poeple i learned to know through WS. Maybe one day, but right now, neither me or night has any desire to play the game WS have become. I shall forever remeber v1.3-1.6, then i was just a nobody friendless punk, but the WS world was purer and not soiled by fanaticism and greed by both players and devs. Keep it cool mecha 8)

Ive been reading up and at first i was looking at the 2nd game, cause well beast sounds cute, but then i learned that the beast class gets alot of bashing and not just that its mediocre, people call it the a tank class that cant handle its on taunt-capability. And on the other hand DH and Hex are considered OP which makes me not really want to use those too even though they sound like alot of fun. Reading some of these threads made it hard for me to imagine a team that would give me the satisfaction of being underdogs aswell as being having a satisfying strategi build. Of course ive only been reading alittle but this was my conclusion. Then i found out that EQ3 had a sub-system that can combo 2-classes into a new class, but i should say i havent really read up on it yet. But for example you can play a - Farmer-Prince. Which sounds delightful! At first look i dissmissed EQ3 for remaking all the classes, but now afterhand I do kinda like the remodeled classes. So right now EQ3 looks like the one i might start with, even if i haft to consider EQ1-2 wont be as good if i go back a pre-title later. And yes i do only have a DS-console. They want almost 100USD for the drowned city here at the game store but i found some at ebay for like 20USD with shipping, but thats just for a cassette and nothing else.

I love game boy-consoles and ive totally missed this one. Sounds like a great series. I might haft to try to hit ebay for some real PAL-cassettes. Any tip which onw to start with or your absolute favorite game of the series? :friends:

Anyone played Resident Evil 4? Its nights favorite game ever and she just passed a 1 000 000 000 PTAS (which is the game currency) 8)

ive heard of medabots. I prefer "secrets of mana 2" (or the JPN titel - seiken densetsu 3) over the first game. One of the earliest games i know of that has a sub-class system. Have the original cassette for the remake of secrets of mana nintendo realeased to GBA. They realeased alot of classic SNES games tuned up for GBA. Got metroids too :)

First, alot of people seem to want a tank that has a 100% threat ratio - warrior cant really do this, BUT at higher levels the other tanks dmg output will stay at 2000-3000 max crits while warrior can dish out 20 000 crits with strike that also adds weaken to target. People at lv30-60 might not agree, but warrior is far more useful tank late game then the early game tanks most people favor. So warrior cant relly have 100% threat ratio, without wasting alot of items and SP in taunt. Myself i use lv7 or so taunt and 1 +6 threat item and my warrior got 80% threat ratio. Yes my other party members takes hits too, but aslong as they dont get 1-hitted by a spell/skill thats not a problem for my party-build. But use Grandma or Hugo (needs to be unlocked) to get their +threat bonus and experiment with taunt and items. Remeber you can reset any char at the tavern for a cheap price of 50g so its easy to try your way to a good solution.

Love it - playing NG+++++ difficutly with my party of lv160-190.

Avon update came, but really i have no desire to come back to warspear as things are now... Currently im playing "Knights of pen and paper +1 edition" when i got spare time. I freaking love this humorous pixelated twist of old tabletop RPG-classics like D&D and EON. The storyline is just perfect mixing geeky themes and jokes through out the dialouges. The game itself is the perfect love-child between a tabletop and a turned-based 16-bit concole feel, while it holds good quality and character + class options. Some extra nice features are - You can decorate your room and/or buy in food and drinks for your game table to give your party permanent or temporary buffs. Theirs 5 classes to unlock by completing optional quests (shaman, bard, necro, knight, barbarian) Theirs 5 characters to unlock playing the main quest. (5 pixel-version of actual developers) Has a increased difficulty option like Diablo 2/3. Whenever you finnish the game you get an option to reset the game for the next difficulty. The game can be obtained through Android, IOS, Humble bumble and Steam (as far as i know). The android version is 5USD after that EVERYTHING is bought with ingame gold which is quiet easy to farm and only gets easier as pass the first half of your first campaign. If you enjoyed tablestops, you will fall inlove with this game. Video review -

Ive gotta say "steel hurricane" looks boring compared to other skills like paladins banner, shamans totem or rouges knives that brings gameplay dynamics, strategy options and building effects. Steel hurricane is just another "click" dmg skill with minimal AoE, Zzz. If you wanted to take blizzards classic barb-skill whirlwind, you could of done it alot more fun and interactive for the gameplay. HOWEVER, while i feel like its boring its in not a bad skill in a game where a dmg skill can greatly increase a characters dps it can for sure be that extra punch makes the battle outcome in your favor.

If youre not an oldie from v0.7 or earlier i wouldnt recommend you trying to make a famous-list. I doubt anyone of these are oldies... Ive never seen Hassn around until few patches after amp-system. And be honest - supreme is the only EU barb and before supreme their use to be a barb named Zbir that was pretty rocking around v1.3, but he quit when you couldnt play free anymore. I didnt see any nostalgic or famous names on that list...

I do agree with what youre saying, DK continuesly seem to fall behind other classes and the fact that DK needs to balance in magic stat to use all skills, compared to barb for example, again causes more problems then benefits most of the time. But I just dont care anymore plain and simple, the game is falling apart piece by piece and even though most players crave the need to get stronger i feel most classes are way to strong for their to ever be balance as things look right now. I get your point when you compare DS to roar and sap, but you cant look at a point based value and % reduction and call it even. Yes against heavy dmg, % will get even or maybe even better at times. But in regular play point values have a great advantage pushing dmg down to 0 where roar or sap would only reduce it by 3-4dmg. Again i know what your getting at, but thats situational. Im not dissagreing, I just dont see devs prioritising this and if anything they'll make people even stronger in the future and further make DS less valuable. However it will always be my hidden gem skill in warspear. Something you can work with a build tactits around, even if tactis has no place in WS anymore.
-
Dk is not very powerful seen to other classes that has better perks or better balance. All it has going is its very vicious burst dmg if you value PvP situations. However, I dont agree that DS is weak. It is the reason why i picked DK and it is by far the strongest def-skill ingame. Activation should be closer to 25%, but remember you cant trust DS in PvP where you only take 8-15 hits before you die, the chance of it not working with that few hits is greater then you think. But in PvE play where you continusly take hit after hit it will do its job and the longer the fight the more accurate your DS will activate. One thing that you should NEVER forget is that DS is the only non-dmg skill ingame that scales up according to your stat. Which at low levels is a downside, but at higher levels is a great advantage.
-
DS lv5 is 25% unless devs nerfed it since realease, but no patch info has stated any DS nerf. Dont forget that % or chance always gets more accurate as your parameter(s) goes towards infinity. So trying 20 times wont be very accurate result. I didnt try infinte times obviously, but i did try a few hundred hits from boars to get my result of 25%. Def stat doesnt effect DS activation chance only DS reduction value. Before devs remade def and magic def system, the reduction in wide terms was 1 point of dmg for each 30 points of def stat. However i dont think its true after devs remade def vaule system.

10+ 2h paladin sucking? NO, one of the worst things to fight back when i still played 2v2 was Paladin + Priest/Druid. Why cause Paladins extra heal even with 2h wep and fetters just made it half impossible to kill a priest before he was gone and in a jiff he was 100% HP again. While their dmg was lower then other teams the fact that fetters is aoe and dot it would make an epic kite duo with the paladin working "on the inside" while the magic user would kite and double heal. You really dont give your class enough credit. I guess we crave diffrent things, you want it ALL. All stats maxed with a over-fat char that does everything atleast averagely good without any weakness. I want a game where you by tactic can build stats and have strengths in diffrent situations, therefore also have situations of weakness. Before this fat-era of WS started i played alot of my tactits on mp-usage and i won so many arenas due to tactical choices where my opponent wasted his energy and fell weak at the end. You dont ever see a tactical win like this happen in WS anymore. I was saying that i feel like almost all of these new weapons was bad including rouges with axes, so this is not about elf-side specificly, i just felt like a full DPS and full support paladin was the most visible example of this making everyone again fatter and stronger then the game needs. Balance in my eyes is not making everyone fatter and stronger back and forth until all the chars are 1 man armies. Balance can also be about restriction. Im losing hope for this game, i really do. There was a time when the avrage player used blue items and were fine, now theirs no avrage, everyone uses some type of lv18+ unique or set item. A game without diversity falls very flat in my eyes and gets boring very fast... Enjoy the era of OPness...

Yes DKs have 1h mace, cause we needed a 1h weapon with magic. All other classes didnt even need their new weapons - rouges didnt need axes, nor did paladin need 2h magic weapon. DK was never too strong for paladin, give me a break. In all our 1v1 fights i think our score is more or less 50/50 gab and we re both +9 1handers. I thought they were very equal, just diffrent tactitcs, diffrent situated. I dont even care for PvP anymore so sure keep your spear, but dont tell me it "made" it equal. My real issue here is that devs have just let everything go. Tell me one update since greater charms update when the game have become "easier" and the update have only made all chars stronger and fatter. To name a few - Greater charms - no one have needed to consider mana usage after this update - Removal of diffrent magics - making all magic users with heal having max dmg and max heal - Increased def and magix def (only 1 type) - alot easier PvE play and latest - Giving free weapon choices to all melee chars - Paladin can now combo heal and DPS path. Rouges and BD got fatter burst dmg. The best version i ever played of warspear was v1.6 when i still played with blue gear and CC items and i still had any chance to beat any class, if you just had alittle luck and managed your chars strengths. I really dont want to be that person, but things were ALOT better before...
-
I might be getting old, but "things were better before" i miss v1.3 when the server wasnt overpopulated to the bursting point, when anyone could play (even free players) without missing out on any game content and when you could actually finnish world events. Warspear is now one of the most popular online rpgs to android - i wish it still was a hidden gem.

PvE - comment guide Threads - Epic PvE skills, move heavy single target range units (bosses) to a beneficial location. However leveling this skill is not needed, the dmg buff is so very short on this skill it will be insicnificant. The use here is to force a monsters location and thats a strong upside. Thorns - Plain DPS adding skill, nothing major, but i always go with this over exhale for two reasons. Shorter cooldown and since phy dmg stacks on all your hits i why dont max this and put dmg enchant on your weapon. Exhale - Worthless stun for PvP, but not against bosses since its one of the few skills that bosses cant resist, well dmg will be resisted, but not stun effect. I prefer thorn over this to add dps, but it depends on your magic stat value. DS - Gets alot of crap and i dont understand why? Defence skill that activates by chance and reduces dmg according to your def stat. Works on both magic and phy incoming dmg. My favorite skill and must for any PvE tank. Provoke - plain taunt, but can be useful if youre playing PvE bosses (that needs a melee tank). At lv5 it guarantees complete aggro. Death Call - I Thought this was complete crap when it came but now when DK got a 1h magic weapon its quiet useful killing many normal mobs, when hunting for quests for example. Its not that hard to make it reach 50-60 DoT with crits that are 100+DoT. Tanking 4-6 mobs gives you a 200-300 DoT minimum each tick. Its also useful to get up your DPS alittle to hold aggro better. With magic stat 90+ i think its well worth its 2sp to max.

Ya I don't know. Instead of creating new structures - gameplay balancing, skill balancing. Little by little every update since introduction of greater charms, gamestructures are degenerating. A lawless unstructured game, with no class balance and all new option only make players strongers. I miss the old game with tactics, not this new shit where theirs no player restrictions, where you max everything and spam 1000+ crits and spells unlimited. Theirs a reason why I just play casual PvE and wait for avon-island. Lost the lust for this overpopulated and underbalanced game. Still I come back for the people.

DKs 1h path needed a magic weapon, we all know this. Devs took a short-cut giving all melee chars all weapon classes. Good for for 1h DK, but im not sure how well they thought it through. If a 2h barb or DK use axe/warhammers or spadons doesnt reallt matters, they are all the same just 1 stat choice and maybe a fraction of atk speed. But to give rouges axes - i dont know about that, its barbs job to dual wield axes, maybe blade dancer, but not a rouge in my eyes. They would need a "dirk-type" of light weight hatchet before i can think thats ok. Paladins where always epic and if it wasnt for the elf community on EU i would probably been a Paladin. However to meld 2h DPS path and the 1h tank/support path into one epic 2h DPS supporter - Im sure devs can admit they didnt think about this specific situation when they released all melee weapons to all melee classes. Maybe this needs a thinking through and limit some weapons. DK needs 1h mace or a 1h with magic of some type. 2h weapons with no magic can be for anyone sure no biggie. Blade dancer can keep their axes sure, doesnt really matter more then their 4% faction buff is even more OP. Rouges can have axes too, but only if they make a light weight version.
