No he did not contact but he was complaining about has unlicky he was. Yeah I dont have a proof but I think its is possible to lost an item while amping from +0 to +1.

I think atleast the rate of amplify or chest drop rates should be open. There are tons of games who share these stats with players. So you can know what do you "gamble" for.
