Baryon got a reaction from Danlo in Underwater Content Needs Rebalance for Current Meta
The underwater segment in Warspear Online is currently facing a progression bottleneck, particularly for new players.

    Problem:
Core events like Assault on the Ship and Descent to the Grotto are no longer consistently run by guilds.
Pirate Reputation acquisition has become unreliable and time-gated.
Sea Tramp’s Lair (ST) only rewards Merman Reputation, creating an imbalance in progression for brand new players.
New players are effectively locked out of Pirate Reputation unless they rely on outdated or inactive content cycles.
    Proposed Changes
    1. Add Pirate Reputation to Sea Tramp’s Lair
ST should grant Pirate Reputation in addition to Merman Reputation.
This aligns it with other town dungeons (RG, TT, TS, TP) that support broader progression.
    2. Rebalance Daily Rewards
Increase Pirate Reputation and Dubloon gains from underwater daily quests.
Current values are insufficient given reduced participation in legacy events.
    3. Introduce ST Easy–Hero Tier Daily quest
Add an Easy–Hero difficulty daily quest for Sea Tramp’s Lair (similar to TP).
This creates a scalable entry point for mid-level and undergeared players to grind reputation required to maneuver in the sea area.
    4. Quest-Based Underwater Speed Boots (Early Access)
Introduce a rare underwater movement speed boot obtainable via quest progression.
Current Heroic boots require Dubloons, which are difficult for new players to farm early on.
    This ensures:
    Early mobility access
    Reduced dependency on high-cost systems
    Smoother onboarding into underwater content
    Expected Impact
    Removes early-game progression blockers
    Restores relevance of underwater systems
Reduces dependency on guild-driven legacy events
Improves new player retention and accessibility
This is not a content expansion request, but a systems rebalance to align older content with the current state of the game.

Personally I'd classify t5 as end game content, so I disagree with completely gutting it. Even to this day it is the source for a lot of the best in slot gears the game has. That being said, it is a major obstacle for newer players because of the high difficulty jump, but in my opinion that's more a problem with the way new players are incentivized to progress. The area is accessible so quickly through following just the storyline quests that there's no chance your char will be caught up to the requirements by then. Doing something like restricting access to it until a certain level requirement is hit, while simultaneously making the early game daily quests more rewarding, could help with motivating people to build up their chars more before tangling with the difficulty jump.
  3. Thanks
Idk why they dont make easy dubloon. If dont want to progress sea map, should make repu and dubloon easy to earn. Mm gvg should give dubloon too.
And should stop giving underwater raid. How many guild do ship or gorotto nowadays? so many event to do..All not jobless.

Baryon reacted to Khrone in Class Talents and Expert Skills Cost Reduction
This post was made thinking about players between the levels of 12 - 20, but these changes would benefit players from every level.

I think there are some problems while leveling up, so i'll talk about them and give my opinion about it.

      Talents
No, there is nothing wrong with talents, the actual problem is how to get them.
The first talent in the tree needs 1500 Knowledge points and 750 Gold to level up.

The thing is: Knowledge is relatively easy to get (with the 11.0 update, characters get 10.000 points every 5 levels) and we only use it for developing talents anyway, so there are no problems with them requiring a lot of Knowledge.

However, we use Gold for a lot of other things: Buying Expert Skills (which i'll talk about later in this post), buying, amplifying or repairing equipment, buying relics, and even in a single quest from Nadir-Sard.

Besides that, there are Ship Graveyard talents too that also need gold to level up. It wouldn't be a problem, considering it is an endgame content, but... Class Talents also ended up being endgame content too.
New players can't spend that much money in talents to get 0.75% of Penetration, they need to focus on other things which i listed above and i won't repeat.

Suggestion: Make the class talents gold-free. It would make them a less pay-to-win content and open them to every player that is willing to farm Knowledge points by completing quests and dungeons.
That change would also let the players control their gold better to use it with other things, like Expert Skills, better equipments or Ship Graveyard talents.
To compensate for that, increase the Knowledge cost of every single class talent. It wouldn't be that bad, since as i said before, Knowledge is kinda easy to get.

      Expert Skills
It was acceptable that expert skills costed 40.000 gold 8 years ago, in 2014, when it was an endgame content and there was only 1 available to each class (and there were only 12 classes at that time).

Now it's 2022, we have 20 classes and each one has almost 10 expert skills. And they're definitely NOT endgame content.
I'd say they are as basic as the 5 skills you start with.

I know you can get a lot of gold with quests from Ayvondill, but what about a new player with its first character? Imagine reaching level 18 and needing more gold than you ever had just to buy a skill? Everybody knows the 1st expert skill of a character gives a power spike, but there are no ways to effectively farm gold before level 18-20.

Suggestion: It is about time that expert skills got a cost reduction. Of course you would only need 3 or 4 of them, but that's still more than 100K gold. Maybe 30.000 for each one is already good enough.

However, some people may not like it. As i said before, the 1st expert skill gives a power spike, and after lv 24-25, you can complete T3 and T4 quests to get a considerable amount of gold.

So since you can buy them for miracle coins now, i'd make something like the 1st bag expansion of a character.
The 1st expert skill of a character would cost 1 or even 0 miracle coins.
Just give it for free, bro. New players need it.

     Conclusion
With everything that was said, i hope you understand my point. Honestly, i don't think the cost of expert skills is a problem that big, but it still could be optimized.
However, the cost of talents are a problem.
You either focus on expert skills, talents or equipments, you cannot gather gold for more than 1 at a time (sometimes you can't afford neither of the three).

I hope you understood my point of view, and if there is something you don't agree with, i would like to know.

Baryon reacted to Gladiator in Question regarding Mana Regen System
Permanent skills will always reduce the amount prescribed even in battle.
Say you have 80, without a permanent skill, you would have 40 in battle. But now let's say you're using mermen gear. No battle would be 62, you would think that in battle you'd get 31 but in that case the mermen skill only consumed 9 points (40-31).
But what actually happens is that you would drop from 80 to 40 (in battle) then the mermen substract the mana regen, which makes you have 22 points, making it seem like battle is reducing more than 50%.

    Chieftain

Chieftains are the living embodiments of the northern spirits. They lead the clans, inspiring by example for feats of arms. The chieftains, like the shamans, worship the spirits of the Mountains, imitating them in battle. The power of a bear and the speed of a wolf, the vision an eagle and the cunning of a rat make Chieftains fearsome opponents. Their hardened bodies, only covered by cloth or light leather, don’t know pain. Maces are the symbol of the chieftains’ power and they masterfully wield them, one or two at once. You should think twice before challenging one, because the might of the all clans’ spirits has their backs.
