  1. I Really think the game characters should have more characteristics than just skills. In other games I've played characters do more than just stand there. Besides its more entertaining for lvl 20 players.
  2. I think it would be pretty cool if we could taunt. So before we engaged in battles or pvp or just standing in town we could do like a battle ready taunt/move or action/gestures that lasted no longer than 2 seconds. Rouge/bd/Ranger classes can: Do jumping jacks/run in place Do pushups Point (your mine) Use hand to imitate a gun (for ranger & and ranged classes) Barb/pala/Dk classes can: Hit shield with weapon Thrust/hold weapon into sky Hit fists together Point curl finger (come here) Shaman/Warlock/Druid/Priest/Necro classes can: Spin staff in hands/1 hand levitate into air a bit Hold staff with 2 hands and tap dance (maybe do it on a players dead body/corpse) And I think all classes should be able to drop roses/flowers on the ground/dead body/corpse after they killed another player. lol maybe that's going too far.
  3. Maybe like a "counterattack" passive skill. Every weapon gets a 1%-5% chance to counterattack after they dodge or parry. And the counterattack hit % is equivalent to that dodge or parry. So if your parry is at 20%, then your counterattack will hit at 20% of your attack, and same for dodge %.
  4. I agree with this one. Maybe highly decorated players can have a different name color like green. And the other players can decide to follow him/her or not.

  6. So if someone is smarter than you are in the way they use their character or their strategy is better or they have better ideas about character skill build. Dose that mean there is no balance in the game? Behind every 2d character in Warspear there is a real person whom are all different in many ways. So of course there isn't a balance between players. Changing the status of a real persons income and where they choose to spend that income is a goddly power that not many possess. That is a whole different subject, a non-warspear subject, a subject i'm not equiped nor permitted to talk about. Lets keep it warspear guys. In my opinion the Warspear team has done everything in their power to create a balance between classes & Warspear game play.
  7. I would have to say Superman. By far Superman was my most difficult challenge so far. 3 pvp rounds with him and I lost all 3, and he went 2 handed for 2 pvp battles and then 1 handed for 1 pvp battle, and I lost. Every other Barb I have faced I won at least once or twice within 3 matches. I can tell Superman isn't just all gear and amp, he has each gear piece strategically placed with a well selected rune and crystal set up. - My observation from the battles.

  10. Arena is balanced for 2x2 with players of the same lvl, designed to match up reasonable balanced matches, and thats all we have. So if your a lvl 15 and your questing near nadir and a lvl 15 mc attacks you and you loose. My opinion is this "you lost, accept it". Because you would fight that same mc player in the arena had you both been playing arena at the same time that day. Open world contact with enemy players, I wouldn't refer to that as pvp. You can pot, use scrolls, run, have friends with you. Open world is war, and if I'm not mistaken war isn't fair and never has been. Many times I have been collecting for a daily quest with half full life, only to suddenly be attacked by a rouge,.... that's not pvp. And in the open world no one signals to enemy players "I want to pvp with you" and then wait for you to signal back lol. They just rush you and use what ever tactic/resource they can to kill you.

  13. Earlier in this thread I said that our class (paladin class) was balanced with other classes in pvp/Duel. Allow me to correct myself. Really paying attention to what your saying, and looking at actual in game structure you may be right. There isn't an in-game developed pvp area. So I'm starting to think that the classes are only balanced on a 2vs2 lvl (arena). For me, In order to win a pvp match against a barb or a rogue I must use every thing my palas gots, difficult at times but fairly successful. In any case for the developers to achieve a balance on a 2vs2 level must have been a difficult task, and I think we have a lot to appreciate for. I think trying to inter-grade an in-game pvp structure, adding and changing class skills (trying to achieve a balance in the pvp spectrum) would be chaotic, messy and difficult to achieve without upsetting the masses. Maybe some valuable aspects of game-play would be lost. Just my opinion.
  14. Doing some research on this subject I found that yes, in reality paladins use sword and shield. But in the realm of "gaming and myth" only dwarves and humans could be paladins, and they use hammers and maces with shields. They are also considered to be very religious and kind, wanting to purify the world from evil. Not to mention they also have a spell book bound to their waists because like in Warspear they are somewhat educated in casting spells and healing themselves and others in combat. So it makes more sense to me now why the hammer/mace/axe and not a sword. But really, a sword and shield doesn't define a class. Barbarian does, paladin, Shaman, Blade dancer does, and so on.
  15. I go ( purify 5, foj 5, heal 5 ). Very true. We paladins are out matched in many ways when it comes to pvp. But I will say that if you use foj 2x and heal 2x in 1 pvp fight you will have an equal chance at winning. Foj has many attributes. Paladin class is all about mixing spells.
  16. Maybe. But I have many times killed lvl 20 ranged classes in pvp with just 3 hits sometimes 2 hits. If your attack is at 550 or over then Purifying critical attack can achieve around 1744, normal critical attack can achieve around 1095. Also if fetters is at lvl 5 for disabling their skills and holding them in place for a good duration of time, there is a fair chance they wont survive. New arena map (lava map) allows ranged class to be close enough to get caught in fetters. And again with the right strategy/timing you are quite capable of defeating a ranged class in a couple of blows.
  17. I agree. The game is balanced. Your strategy is key. of course gear is important too, but good gear without a strategy isn't enough. A good strategy with somewhat not so good gear can still be enough. The thing is a good strategy requires thinking, and not just relying on high level amplified gear.
  18. I love fetters of justice. But you must have a lot of practice with it before you can learn to use it effectively and at the right time. Also depending on the class you are fighting, timing/strategy is everything. Pvp with rouge for instance. Rouge always use gouge and when gouge is finished they will disappear to recharge the gouge move and then repeat the strategy. But if you use fetters right after the gouge move and foj is at lvl 5, you will have a high chance of catching them in the act of disappearing. Again timing is everything with foj.
  19. Man if I was on US Sapphire I would surely join. Here on the Emerald server we don't have anything like this. This is the business.
