Lol, chainless qst must not be done, its only a requirement to wear lvl 15 equipments which can be bought in nadir, lvl 17 and 18 items far better than lvl 15 items.. For six shadows qst, it can be done whenever u want, if u havent done it, u can do dailies to lvl up..

Yes you are right, my priest has just finished my quests in 1st island of chosen (Langasard). The quests in Langasard are 2x or 3x harder than the quests in 1st island of firstborn (Meivendil)

If u want sun set for arena then the equipments are same as mage, except the staff (mage=dazzling staff, priest=dazzling baton) If the armor u can use Light Tunic, it has 13 sun dmg
