    Hunter

Hunter is a Legion Mountain Clan ranged class that specialize in Damage Dealing and Area Control

          Attack
        Defense
        Control
     Difficulty

     Pros and Cons
    Pros:
One of the best DPS class in Legion and in game. Has the ability to control enemy’s movement and limit their fighting capability. A great class for mass fights and events “Guild vs Guild”.
    Cons:
Lack of survivability and defensive or escape abilities. Lack of burst “high damage in a short amount of time”. Difficult to control in terms of positioning and play-style.

      Skill information

Here you can find all the information about hunter’s skills as well as demonstration.

       PvE and PvP
    Builds

PvE As mentioned before Hunter is one of the best DPS classes in legion and they play the part of the party/guild damage dealer. In terms of build there are two main builds that we will discuss, Single target and mass.
Single target  mainly played for dungeons and Raid bosses that require a lot of single target damage     "Mythical sea" and "Mythical nadir" dungeons are great example to use this build for. Basic:

    Expert:

Mass or group damage build is mainly played for dungeons or events that requires a lot of group damage    Castle dungeons are a great example for this build. Basic:

     Expert:

PvP: Hunters are a great class when it comes to PvP, they deal a good amount of damage while also having  a helpful crowd control abilities. In terms of build there are two categories that we can divide hunter builds into, Arena and GvG/War.
Arena build can split into three options based on the situation or your play-style

The standard  Offers a lot of damage while also gain a lot of stuns/control     This build works really well against opponents that rely too much on their skills whether for: Healing     Dealing Damage    Control    Keep in mind that some classes have abilities that grant them  Resistance which can ignore all control skills for few seconds making this build weak against:   Mage  Blade Dancer  Barbarian  Chieftain
     Basic:
     Expert:

The Dodge  Similar to the standard build in terms of stuns/control however it shifts more into surviving or withstanding damage by filling up your  Dodge stat while also having a bit of  Damage reduction. The idea of this build is to avoid as much damage as possible even against characters who has  Accuracy boost as it forces them to spend extra skill points into their accuracy skill making them lose points in other important skills thus lowering their damage or their fighting capability. Even though this build focuses more onto leveling  Dodge and Damage reduction skills rather than damage it can still deal a decent amount of damage.  This build works really well against opponents that deals a lot of burst or DPS such as:  Blade Dancer  Seeker  Warden  Mage  Rogue  Chieftain  Barbarian  Warlock  Reaper On the other hand there are some classes that have the ability to increase their  Accuracy which lower the chance of attacks being Dodge making this build a bit weaker against:  Mage  Ranger  Barbarian  Chieftain keep in mind that you cannot   Dodge Skills effect you can only Dodge the damage for example you can Dodge  Barbarian  Shield strike Damage or   Mage  Shattered Stone damage however you cannot Dodge the  Stun duration and it will still  Stun you even if you Dodge it.  Basic:
     Expert:

The damage focused This build focuses on dealing an insane amount of damage    and being a threat to almost anyone against you.  This build is generally good against all classes however it works best against opponents that are hard to kill or lack defensive skills like:  Warden  Ranger  Death knight  Hunter  Keep in mind, due to the fact it lack any sort of stuns  or defensive stats  this build leaves you extremely vulnerable against opponents who has mobility skills such as:  Mage  Seeker  Blade dancer  Barbarian  Rogue  Chieftain As you've noticed this build has a lot of counters and is hard to play so if you're planning on playing it I recommend having a support class as your partner to make sure you don't die too fast like:  Necromancer  Shaman  Charmer Building a lot of  Steal Health also works well with this build. Building  Resistance could also help by avoiding stuns or control skills.   Basic:

     Expert:

GvG/war This category consist of a one major build that is very effective and can be shifted between damage  and control  Hunters work really well with other control   classes allowing them to setup their group damage   skills easily. Hunters also work well together due to hunters being able to stack  "Hunter's Mark" for each other but keep in mind the increased received damage is based on your  Mark's level not the character who applied it.   Basic:

     Expert:

Keep in mind that these builds are merely favored and can be changed or modified based on your preference or play-style.

      Itemization

Having the correct Gears is very important, the combination of the stats items grant could amplify your hunter potential whether when it come to dealing damage, surviving or straight up enabling whatever build or play-style you have in mind. When it comes to Itemization we have two categories, PvE and PvP.

    PvE
For PvE it's important to have the right gears that will grant you the best/highest amount of necessary stats to output the most damage possible while also still having some defensive capability to not get one-shotted. In terms of itemization we can split it into two categories Early game and Late game.
Early game The idea of early game gears is to have cheap available gears to use until you finish your late game build while still allowing you to finish dungeons and quests at your level. The following stats are the ones you want to focus on, try getting them as high as possible.  Critical hit  Attack speed  Penetration Stacking some Defensive Stats as well as some armor amplification can help you survive a bit more so its recommend to get:  Life Steal  Solidity In early game there are many options and combinations of gears that works well but I would recommend the following build as it offers the best stats in terms gears availability and cost. I would recommend going for the crafted Crossbow or the spring Bow for they offer the best stats.  crafted Crossbow offers more  damage and  penetration.  spring Bow Grants more  Critical as well as  Attack Strength. Here you can find the stats and calculations of the build

Late game In the late game hunters tend to shine the most with the help of their skills and combined with merman gears they can show their maximum potential as damage dealers. The following stats are the core stats these should be maxed out.  Critical hit  Attack speed  Accuracy  Penetration In the late game after having your Core stats maxed you should start filling your other offensive stats that could add up to your damage like:  Critical hit Strength  Skill Cooldown  Attack strength  Piercing Stacking some Defensive Stats as well as some armor amplification can help you survive a bit more so its recommend to get:  Life Steal  Solidity I would recommend going for the crafted Crossbow or the spring Crossbow for they offer the best stats.  Crafted Crossbow offers more  Speed.  Spring Crossbow offers  Attack Strength.
Here you can find the stats and calculations of the build

    PvP
When it comes to PvP you want to have as much impact as possible when it comes to dealing damage or control while also withstanding damage and not be a weak target thus having the correct items will aid you in doing your job to deal damage. The following stats are the core stats these should be maxed out.  Ferocity  Resilience  Attack speed  Accuracy  Penetration after having your Core stats maxed you should start filling your other offensive stats that could add up to your damage like:  Skill Cooldown  Attack strength  Piercing  Stun Stacking some Defensive Stats as well as some armor amplification can help you survive a bit more so its recommend to get:  Life Steal  Resistance Keep in mind that incase you decide to use a different Crossbow than the Arena one it is not necessary to have your Ferocity maxed out, however you should at least have 30% Ferocity From enchantment else your damage will drop significantly  the advantage of using different kind of Crossbow could be to boost your other offensive stats which could be more useful in different situations.  I would recommend to either use the standard arena Crossbow  or the Crafted Crossbow  Arena Crossbow offers more  Ferocity.  Crafted Crossbow offers more  Speed.
Here you can find the stats and calculations of the build:

     Buffs and minion

Buffs and Minions are generally used to aid you in your battles from amplifying your damage or stats to supporting you with extra damage or control.
We will split them into two categories PvE and PvP
    PvE
    PvP
It is also advised to always carry some essentials as they can be useful in almost all situations.
     Greater Life Potion:
Restores 60% of the character's maximum health.
     Life Scroll:
Allows you to resurrect your Hero in case of death.
     Courage Scroll.
Allows you to resurrect your Hero in case of death during a castle attack and guild battles.

      Tips and advice
    For newbies

When you’ve just created your hunter and you’re level is still low it’s not a good idea to level  Combat stance first as you don’t have enough  mana regeneration early to maintain it so I would recommend leveling your other skills   first and leaving it for last for when you gain more  mana regeneration.
Getting the group damage expert skills   first once you're level 18 can help you finish quest faster as they provide more value in terms of damage compared to stats skills
As I mentioned before hunters don’t have the ability to tank damage without dying and they can easily be overwhelmed by mobs or getting caught by an enemy assassin, so it’s always a good idea to have a healer with you in your party whether a minion  for dungeons or a friend who plays a support class for arena or both.  Necromancer are great partner when it comes to dungeons as they provide a lot of damage boost and healing.  Shaman on the other hand are a great partner for arena and battles as they provide consistent healing and damage reduction.  Charmer can also be a great support partner if they adapt the staff build they can provide some consistent healing and also a lot of stuns/control.
Hunter’s can sometimes steal the aggro from the party tank which can put you in a tough spot so always watch your damage and your party tank aggression skill to not get yourself killed, it’s also a good idea to get  Tranquil Potions which can reduce your damage aggro  Hunters can be really difficult to control and play as they rely too much on positioning but once you get the hang of it hunters can become a really fun class to play.

This is the end of the guide I hope it can be of use to others and shine more light into hunters, if you have any question or if you've spotted any error or inaccurate information feel free to let me know

Even Dummy has more impact in this game than a Rogue class.

As you can see by the stats   this class is lacking absolutely everything you can think of!

Lefu reacted to Slap in Orcinus, Octopus raid bosses books.
Here we go again with the same circus, from game to discord, from discord to forum finally.

First of all before getting into the main point of this, i am always looking who had the big brain to write this and all i see is this

assuming you have the arena shoes as well, i checked your PVP Weapons and i see this:

15.8% + 16.7% + 5% from ferocity book (if you own it) equals 37.5% ferocity in PVP, which is... shameless,

i checked your arena achievements, total fights in every arena : 157 wins 2x2 345 wins 5x5 169 wins cruci 374 wins seals 0 wins old 3x3.

So you are telling me as a player looking like this, you have the right to say that sea books are broken? It took you less than 1000 fights in the arena to meet the only 3 4 players that got that book already and fought against them?, shamaless if you ask me.

Octopus and Orcinus books have been introduced in the game many years ago, there are not even 10 books total in the EU server elf mc combined, Octopus and Orcinus could reach a cap of 80% but nobody was complaining back then about this that much, it got nerfed to 50% and also the bleeds and dots were not affected anymore by this. Skills such as warlock dark circle isn't affected by the octopus book, you still take the full duration of the stun as well.

The orcinus book dropped twice in EU, once because of the 2x chances event which seems fair to me, all about luck.
Besides you not being a PVP Player AT ALL, more as a person that always complains, never happy with anything, coming up with the excuses that everyone wants to gets these books, then get better, stronger, learn how to play as good as you complain. More than this, you didn't come up with any solid point to prove that these books are broken, unbeatable, etc. I am myself using octopus book and i can tell you this doesn't make me unbeatable, invincible or whatever you want to call it. Me and all the players that have these books ( Speaking only of EU server) have years of PvP experience, tons of hours spent in the arena, practicing, it's not something that everyone can do, and trust me, you're awful on that chieftain, but i believe that the screenshots speak for themselves.

Another thing that i want to point out is, why people only complain about CHIEFTAINS being broken with that book, why not ranger, hunter, charmer or any other class, well i'm telling you why, you are facing the only chieftains in my guild that are mopping the area with your chars, simple is that. There are 20 classes in this game, yet chieftain is the only one that benefits the most out of orcinus book, i agree to that and i have said it many times, where octopus book is fair for every class, since every class benefits out of it, less stuns, nothing to argue about it, you can debate who benefits more, but it's pointless, you are simply complaining about not being able to beat a maxed out class with a book, being played by players with 2 3, 5 or maybe 10 years of experience in this game, give me a break.

On the other hand, most of the complaints i see is about 1v1 mostly, where if you are a PVP Player, which you are not @Ivoo , you would know that the class balance is non existent, what i mean by that? Well a ranger for example beats a shaman easily, a shaman beats a barbarian and a barbarian destroys any ranger, do you see my point? Each class is designed to beat another class, there is no class that beats every class in this game and will never exist. Now my point is, if you add the rare sea books to each class, it's gonna be even harder to fight them since they counter that specific class, same as any other book, each book is an improvement. Each book on a shaman makes even harder for a barbarian to beat it, etc. You got my point i guess.

You are also bringing YinYang and Phalanx into WHY ORCI BOOK IS BROKEN , like why? It's our fault for everything in this game, i agree, i'm sorry for that.
You are also coming up with the idea "Even 20% of its effect is broken" how do you know may i ask? Did you ever have one, did you ever test it? Of course not, but it's easier to complain on the forums when you can't beat anything. I'm not here to answer to all your complaints cause it's pointless, all i want to say is, don't forget how much work and time spent in the game is behind every character with such books, think twice before typing this on a public forum or you're gonna embarass yourself and all your friends complaining. And also get better, all i can say about all people that complain, get better or stay like @Ivoo
  5. Thanks
Lefu reacted to Slap in GvG underperforming more each year
Hello, i would like to bring up something that has been discussed a lot in the past few months in our guild and even in EU-Emerald server in the game, or in discord servers.

I have been investing my time into this game like everyone else for couple years already and for me, a big part of my enjoyment and fun in this game comes from the Guild vs Guild events. It's an event where the guilds from the entire server meet together in one place and show their power rather if it's a mass fight or completing objectives in order to have a good score on the leaderboard and getting rewards depending on the result and so much more can be said about this type of events.

Sadly in the past couple of months/seasonal events (spring, anniversary, horror, winter)  i have seen pretty much the same copy of a previous GvG from last year just few adjustments/changes but never something new, which doesn't bring excitement anymore. The GvG events added lately this year (spring and anniversary so far) have been like a hit and run, guilds keep avoiding each other, running of each other because the GvG allows them to do so, as we seen in the spring gvg, people could rush to the main boss and finish the gvg, or could just hide in the corners, splitting, running around the map and killing the side bosses, avoiding mass fights, all this done in a matter of few minutes and the guild was free out of the GvG ...??

Anniversary GvG that we have seen so far, it's an exact copy of the previous GvG from 2021, just the 30 minutes timer was removed and few altars were added which do nothing but just let you rush to them and get out of the GvG again, in a matter of few minutes, even worse is the fact that the enemy guilds could wait at the altars that an X guild is supposed to go to, surprise them, take the orb and by that they are able to complete the GvG in a matter of few minutes. There is no strategy involved into it or anything like that, like it was in 2021. There you had to fight for a top in the leaderboard and good rewards. I would like to add to this point the fact that one of my few friends and also people in forum / game were giving some answers to why this type of GvG is a really good idea, the answer was simply because this gives chance to the weaker guilds to get the same rewards, point which in my opinion is wrong from many perspective and i can tell you why:  If the GvG last 30 minutes, every guild fighting each other, weaker guilds will take lower ranks, it's logic, but also if we take as an example this anniversary GvG, the best guilds are the ones that are able to deliver the souls to the altar, weaker guilds can't do anything but wait for them to finish and get sent outside, only after that they are given the chance to take the same souls and deliever it because any other threat is out.  Guild commander can also steal a soul and just simply run with it and avoid any kind of fight, since guild skills are disabled
for some reason which is another problem of this GvG.

There are many points that can be said about this subject, but i hope you got my idea already. GvG events play in my opinion an important role in this game and will always play an important role, because without GvG, there is no point for any guild leader to improve his guild power, only by doing GP and dungeon spam? That is what makes the difference between a strong guild and a weak one. Building a PvP set, playing arena every day, are important activities that are required in order to show a good result in the GvG and motivate people to fight and take part into the GvG. If these type of events continue to be like i call them "hit and run" type of events, where 5 minutes will be all it takes to complete a GvG, then better remove them completly from the game in my opinion. I hope that this company will come up with new ideas in the future and maybe you can take my feedback into consideration since i have been managing every GvG for almost an year in the guild that i currently lead in the EU Server and the feeling of excitement and competition can be seen less and less with every new event that comes out.

Thank you for your time, i would gladly like to hear other opinions about this and ideas about what can be improved, what should be changed/removed from the game. My intention is not to criticise anything, i am expressing my frustration about the lack of effort that can be seen when it comes to PvP engagement in this game.

Lefu reacted to Abi in Castle guide - Abi ( EU-Emerald)
In this guide we will be talking about castle and everything you need to know about castle when it comes to basic information, capturing, attacking & defending, strategies and the goods you gain from capturing a castle

    Basic information
    Castle locations
    Castle buildings
    Castle Requirement
    Castle goods and buffs
    Capturing
    Guild requirements to apply
    Castle siege
    Guard room
    Attacking the throne
    Attacking & defending
    1st level
    2nd level
    3rd level
    strategies
    Members Diversity
    supplies
    Minions & buffs

    Basic information

    1- Castle’s location

There are 5 castles at the moment in Warspear and are located in the 3rd map of the game “Avyondil” each castle is located in its own section of Avyondil.

    2- Castles buildings

Each castle has 3 buildings where you can produce goods and an architect where you can build or level up buildings and the castle to fortify your castle and produce better goods.

    3- Castles requirement
To build or level up building you will need 2 main resources as well as gold and guild points.

1- Ideal essences which can be found in the same section as the castle.

2- symbols which can be found in the dungeons of the castle section which will drop as loot upon killing the dungeon final boss.

    4- Goods and Buffs

Capturing and owning a castle will grant you with lots of advantages such as the castle buildings which can craft powerful items and grant access to the castle steward where you can use certain buffs to aid your members in battles or help improve the guild.

-The Laboratory where you can craft powerful potions for the guild.

    - The workshop where you can craft powerful scrolls for the guild.

-The Magic Tower where you can craft group relics.

    - Keep in mind that upon crafting these items the building will lose durability and will make the items take longer to finish, you can repair them by using the castle resources and gold as well as guild points.

    - the castle steward where you can use a verity of buffs for the
entire guild members which can aid you in battles or help with the
    guild development.

    Capturing

    - Now we will be talking about what you need to know when it comes to attacking and capturing a castle.

    1- Guild requirement to apply
Each castle has its own rules to apply when it comes to guild level and members, in order to apply for castle siege, you need to meet those requirement

Upon meeting those requirements your guild can take part in the castle siege to have a chance of capturing it, your guild can apply by making the guild commander entre the castle afterward the rest of the members can join in.

    2- Castle siege

Once you have joined the siege the guild will spawn in one of the 8 camps, these camps serve as a spawning point for guild so upon dying in battle the members will respawn in the camp.

Your objective here is to work together to break one of the castle gates while fighting other guilds who has the same objective.

    3- Guard room

Upon breaking the gate, the guild commander and his party will have access to enter the guard room where you attempt to kill the guard as well as other guilds commander party.

Keep in mind that only the guild commanders can attack the castle guard while the party members should support the commander and defend him from other guilds.

If your guild managed to kill the guard only then the members of the guild will be able to enter the guard room and prepare to attack the throne, other guilds will be teleported outside of the castle and result in failing the siege.

    4-  Attacking the throne

once your guild has entered the castle citadel you will have to face the guild who hold the castle your objective is to find and destroy the throne while fighting the current guild that hold the castle.

    Attacking & Defending

    - the castle citadel contains 3 levels, the 1st level which has 3 gates and 5 drop down points where the attacking guild can use to enter the citadel also the middle area serves as a spawn point for the attacking guild.

    - the 2nd level contains 1 middle gate and 2 routes left and right of the middle gate.

    - the 3rd level contains the throne and the end of the 2 routes which leads to the throne in the middle

    - Attacker: your objective is to break the gates and destroy the throne while fighting the guild which hold the castle.

-Defender: your objective is to defend the throne for 20 minutes by killing and slowing the attacking guild progress until the end of the timer.

    - Keep in mind: the health of the gates and throne as well as their stats is are different, each castle has its own stats

    strategies
Here we will be talking about some tips and tricks that could help with attacking or defending a castle as well as other helpful information.

    1- Members Diversity
A major thing a guild should consider before attacking or defending a castle is the classes and gears of the members participating in the siege, the guild most have a front liners, damage dealers and support.

    - Front liners are the classes that function as a tank class which can withstand a number of blows without dying and their job is to take most of the damage for the guild and force the enemies to engage them.

    - Damage classes are the main damage source for the guild relying on having a high damage but very low control or survivability.

    - The support classis’s main goal is to help the frontline and the damage classes in doing their job by providing buffs, healing and even control by disturbing the enemy formations.

Keep in mind that the key to winning group battles is to have the balance between the game classes by not having too many of one class or too less of another and having everyone play their role.

    2- Supplies

Before attempting to attack or defend a castle you need to make sure you provide the correct supplies for your guild to help them win the battles.

the most important item is the “courage scroll” which can be used to instantly respawn during castle battle.

its really good to provide health potions to your guild to help them stay alive during the battle plus these potions don’t provide any extra buffs which could overtake any buffing potion which we will talk about next.

    3- Minions & Buffs

A really important thing to keep in mind when going into a battle is to have the right minions support and buffs to aid u in the battle.

    - Minions are an important assist when it comes to fighting, they can provide you with the extra damage you’re missing or the extra control you might need.

    - Having the correct buffs is also a necessity for battles we will talk about which buffs are recommended to get.

I hope this guide could be of use to others specially to the guilds that aim into becoming stronger and claim a place among the high league, I will keep coming back to the guide and keep it updated.

The castle siege should have been in defenders favor from the beginning. Since the attacking guild has nothing to lose and the defending guild has an investment on the line and nothing to gain, the attacking guild should never be at an advantage (like how it was before).

Forcing every chieftain to go full physical while gutting their dmg and survivability and giving a lackluster stun while ALSO giving elfs the tools to tank / stun it for ages makes absolutely 0 sense. One of the most horrific patch notes I've seen in my life. Adding 10% into the most useless skill in the whole game is just a massive slap in the face, I'm quite certain 90% of the chieftains in the whole game haven't even bought this skill.

Just why? I mean the magic maces already has damn too low magic damage, it doesn't even come close to physical maces. And again, why are you comparing it to physical maces? Physical maces give you auto attack increase. Reducing magic damage on offhand would be the most stupid thing I would see in a rebalance.
If you are full magic build chieftain, you are getting missed out on low attack damage and now with 30% reduction in magic maces, it will turn out to be worse for players who literally rely on skills to survive, guess what? Well the skills got nerfs too, I mean what do you even want? You introduced chieftain for aoe because we lacked aoe damages, now you are literally going back on your words, taking back the damages on aoe, while elves had it from start, mages, paladin and what not. I am not crying, I am angry because the only way you are determining the chieftain's ability is from PvP perspective, while on PvE it sucks, now it's gonna suck even more.
One more thing I don't understand, how in the world a chieftain's magic damage is veryyy powerful without critical hit value at 40%
The huge bursts of damage occurs cause the skills are doing critical damage. I mean look at a damn seeker, 7k+ DMG on auto attack, who are you joking with, I put all my heart in building the best magic chieftain but all you had to do was introduce a stupid proposal to destroy a year of our dedication into finding out ways to make a magic chieftain sustain in places.
If it's PvP which is bothering them, then reduce the damage on the skill in PvP terms. It doesn't need to affect the PvE side of the gameplay.
Besides, these AoE skills of chieftains already has players limits on how much players the skill will damage and that depends on where the skill points are being used. Yet, they are complaining about it, how childish.
You are literally nerfing a character which has skills mainly based on magical damage. This is so stupid.
Again, if you are going to complain that max critical hit % is easy to reach on chieftain, I don't care, reduce the critical hit value cat skill, I would still invest on critical crystals to reach max critical hit value, why? It's the damn reason chieftain can deal such damage but nope all you see that elves are crying because they can't target chieftain first.

So, let me get this straight.

You took aoe dmg, from chief, which was originally created to do aoe dmg. I was expecting nerf on chief, because it was overpowered (I'm saying it as chief player). But chief was created for aoe dmg and you are breaking it.

I understand you're buffing dk, since in the past it recieved too much nerfs and it started to getting behind many chars, so buffing it is resonable and it will be more playful.

About paladin, yeah, many people complained about sacred shield it is too strong and unable to self cast. But the fact is, that you also took paladin's dmg. If it would be just banner, okay. But also illumination, which makes from paladins who they are. Inner force isn't much better, as I can see. I'll test it, but I'm not sure about it, because you still need to loose minimally 60% of your hp to get full potential of the skill.

Bd. Well, this class is alredy op and now you're making it more op. Okay, shield cd reduced is resonable, it is tank. But making sonic boom 5x5 and with more 30% dmg. That sounds insane. Also, will it affect Pterik's sonic boom?

Next thing I don't understand is to reducing heal of support classes. They were created to be supportive so I wouldn't take that ability from them.

Charmer, seeker and templar, those classes are interesting and this rebalance seems to give them many opportunities, therefore I'm not complaining about them.

Wd has already low dmg, I wouldn't reducing it more. It has big dmg reduction so I would rebalance dmg reduction with more dmg dealing in order to create harmony for this class. On the other hand, I understand, it is the most op tank class on elf side.

Ranger, rogue and hunter. Dodge is their only protection. You let it last on all lvls the same (only 33% from cd time) and made it to give more dodge. I think these skills are skills which I also wouldn't touch. They are good as they are.

But yeah, I'm gonna test it and I'll see. For now I'll keep my opinion as it is.

Honestly, after looking at the patch notes. Only 2 thoughts: Ignorance or incompetence?

    1. Mermen buff should still be BUFFS and not passive. That allows for dual-type mermen builds (eg. Leather + Cloth) to switch between different mermen buffs without a constant mana sap. Also, permanent mermen passive (without the ability to debuff it by Chieftains), makes wardens in arena near impossible to kill.

    2. Retain Chieftain's Wolf and Frenzy's damage % parameters as it currently is (aka no reduction). Keep the stun for Frenzy.

    3. Reduce Chieftain's Eagle Eye and Swooping Army's damage % parameters. Remove the -30% magic penalty for dual wield. Problem solved in terms of overpowering magic AOE damage.

    4. Remove talent tree/knowledge if you are going to be doing constant rebalance. Allows for others to play different classes each rebalance without falling behind too much due to the time-consuming grind for knowledge.

There, I solved it for you guys.

EDIT: If it wasn't obvious enough for the marketing team, an average player tends to spend more when building up new characters versus spamming dungeons for knowledge. Cost basis-wise, the money you'll rake in from players rotating classes (spent to amp etc) versus the limited money sink for knowledge (capped at only seeker's stamina) is going to be much more. 😉

"Developer commentary: The Chieftain really demonstrated excessive effectiveness in a number of game situations, which was repeatedly noted by the gaming community. We are restoring the balance of power and at the same time solving the problems the class has."

oh wait you nerfed chief coz community asked? or coz elves asked? but when community asking for nerf BD last 12 years you only buff him every patch... game devs of warspear are joke...

Surely its not intended that players will have to grind +200 days (a very rough estimate) to reach max talents, right? The limits and the cost of talents compared to the gains is absurd.

"theres rarely a case where a chieftain should up Thrashing from 1/5 to above" In this instance the rare case being GvGs, outside of that, the skill has little to no use. Only scenario where it will be used is mass pvp, and even there, a +10% damage received on a few of people will never be noticeable. Even bladedancers are getting a talent which literally counters it.

Comparing chieftains Key Class Talent to every other class, it sounds very underwhelming, both in PVE and PVP. It will almost never be used, and even if its used, theres rarely a case where a chieftain should up Thrashing from 1/5 to above, so he would only "benefit" for a few seconds. By the time the debuff is used, the chief has gotten maybe 1-2 hits in. I do hope to see it drastically changed before this update hits live.
