You're right but you can't really heal when versus 30 people, no matter the class, so the extra magic is practically non existent. Either way, not the time not the topic.

With how distortion turned and how fragile you are wielding a 2h, it's eh, still. Merman set with full resilience and shield/mace enchanted with magic, maybe, but even then you're praying to tank with blocks and parries.

Took it out of my fingers

Hourai got a reaction from Khrone in Improvements on Templar Skills Mechanics
In a massive fight the staff templar will not be close to anything to get any stuns aside flow, thus rendering its usefulness far lower than you think, both on the damage and the support part. In my opinion it's a class to be played frontline and hybrid, and become the deciding factor of the battlefield, not someone who sit's behind and heals
  4. Thanks
Hourai got a reaction from Khrone in Improvements on Templar Skills Mechanics
I played a staff templar for a majority of time, with absolute bis gear +10 charmed, and the support potential of the class is still bad. Sure, 4/4 passive heals my team for 933 per stun and I lose the damage from whirlwind, punch, charge and minion's first hit.
Staff templar group support was killed as soon as they made the shield 275% of magic & physical, and hybrid support works better both on offense and defence. Each of my stuns heal 513 on my hybrid pvp setup and i still can help my partners to a respectable degree.

I believe that all classes go through a modification one day, and it would not be a bad idea to do it this time with the Templar

Yeah, 5 yards seems like it'd be a good compromise.

This is much more useful in combat than some people make it out to be. You can split a team with some solid placement of skills, and that's priceless for a class to be able to break a team like that

I like the touch of truth skill sure, but at this rate it'd be better to just make it either
    1) castable on area, as you said, OR
    2) you "hit" the enemy with it in range and after few seconds the skill appears below him, like Death knights curse

Imo, I lean towards the 2nd one because even the 1st one wouldn't make me use the skill

As for the statue, that would be cool but the numbers are simply too much if it goes that way. An idea of my own was to remove the damage reduction effect and make our statue give out shields to allies, like heal totem but shield wise. Would make it a cool defensive skill with more uses than simply negating % of dmg

Had a go at lv5 shield at the cost of 5 whirlwind, and full phys accessories these days.

The shield for PvE is absolute bonkers, like a mini paladin shield castable every 16 seconds (with my cd) and staying for almost 13 seconds with extended duration relic. Makes underwater bosses and adventurers a bit less focused on hoping for 21k crits to lifesteal and more about the actual adventure.

Full phys is great damage on whirl and punch, but the lack of healing can be felt very quickly if you're used to somehow being on full hp everytime with hybrid. Do love full phys for faster kill quests but hybrid personally is arguably better on anything with 20k+ HP anywhere

    Introduction
If you like to play the game solo most of the time, like me, you might need to use some additional resources in order to boost your stats and farm/do quests faster (or be able to do it at all 🙂). For this purpose, there are different alternatives- scrolls, potions, high vampirism stats, and... minions!

This guide contains some basic information about the minions in Warspear Online- functionality, classification (which you might want to skip, if you are an experienced player) and a table with information about every minion, available in the current v9.3.3. The latter is something I really needed as the similar tables are quite outdated and we have more and more new minions. So I decided to do one myself😜.

    Common Information
Minions were introduced in Warspear Online v3.7. Since then, they have been a subject of constant development.

Basically, as in other MMORPG games, minions follow their owner and help them in battles.
They can be obtained in different ways (the best minions are from event chests or in the Miracle Shop during events). When you use one, it will appear next to your character, following you for preset time:

The time could be 2h, 4h, 6h, 12h or even 1d 12h (currently the longest). Also, you can't summon two minions at the same time (an exception is if one of them is from skill), the first one will dissapear.

Each minion have different appereance (design) and might have interesting unique abilities.

Minions can be divided in 3 different groups depending on their actions and purpose:
Takes most of the damage inflicted by the enemies. (Tank) This type of minions usually have higher health points and higher defensive stats. Each of them have an aggression skill, which in short provokes the enemy to attack the minion instead the character. Their skills often include stuns and debufs which makes them very helpful in boss fights, especially if you are low level or your character can't tank much damage.  Inflicts as much damage to the enemy as possible. (Damage dealer, DD)  They have higher attacking stats: attack damage, speed, critical chance etc. Aside from their damaging skills, DD minion could also have controlling or debuf skills. If you are a healer, for example, and your character lacks good damage or you just need to clear your quests faster, you might want to use this type of minions. Heals the wounds and helps the hero in a battle. (Support) The most popular and diversified group. You can see in the minions table below that Support minions amount for nearly 70% of all the minions. They can offer different types of protection like healing, barriers, boosting in stats: skills cooldown, accuracy, penetration, movement speed and so on, which makes them really useful in every situation, regardless the character level.
Minons can also be grouped in 3 different rarities:
Common rarity- they use 2 skills, have avarage stats, widely available in quests, dungeons, chests and can be purchased directly in the Miracle Shop. Advanced raity -  again use 2 skills, have better stats and magnification, harder to obtain, purchasable in the Miracle Shop for higher price. Unique rarity- use 3 or more skills, including passive ones, depending on their release date, ways of obtaining, their power level might vary. Some of them could litteraly "carry" you through hard quests or even whole maps. Depending on your needs, using one might save you a lot of effort and time so you should consider this, but always check their skills, so you could utilize their power (i.e. if you only need a lot of healing for your character, you should avoid using minions such as the Evil Pumpkin , which is Support role but have only 1 healing skill, unlike, for example the Leogtyph  who have 1 heal and 1 barrier+heal).
It should also be mentioned that minion's level and stats depend on the character's own level and stats. Minion's level could be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.
Aside from the character's stats, minions also benefit from different effects such as invisibility (if your character is invisible, your minion will be as well), can be healed or boosted with skills, but can't be revived if they die.

    Table With All Minions
This is the important part of the guide (at least for me). This table is not a picture so you can search in it by text (ctrl/cmd+F).

The table have 5 columns as follows:
Name- an icon with the minion with its name Rarity- 3 rarities available in the game: common, advanced and unique. Class- as we talked above, 3 possible classes: Tank (takes damage), DD (Damage dealer), Support (Heals and helps a hero) Abilities- the skills a minion can use, some are displayed as a picture, as they are the same as some classes (you can check them in the game) use. Those skills that are unique for the minion are discribed in text.  Ways to obtain- different methods to get the minion. I feel this section is not complete, so I will try to find some more information in the future.
Note that some information might be missing, I will try to fill it in the future.

    End notes
That is pretty much it. If you find something incorrect, want to add missing information or have a suggestion, feel free to comment.
I will try to keep the table updated in the future.

    Hope it will be helpful!

That's seriously one of the best posts i've ever seen in this forum.
It seems like the update that brought Overload (and of course other skills) didn't appear on any forum.

@Holmes is there any post on the forum about this update?
I had the same problem trying to find out when was "Sharp Shadow" introduced.

Discontinued because I do not consider it necessary anymore with all the class guides

As the game gets updated with more and more skills these patches will get more common and it will be harder to find the latest patch for a certain skill.
While I would love to have a proper list for every single skill that would be a bit too much work.
Therefore I just tried to find every single skill change or addition since the update that introduced expert skills and, after looking through the changes, attempted to point out the most notable ones. Keep in mind that this is mostly my opinion making it biased (I play mage on elf side).

Also somehow I couldn't find the 9th expert skill addition so if someone could point it out for me that would be nice (or if I missed any important skill balance updates)
And if you think a certain update requires a special comment then you can say so too.
    Thank you

Yes. It's pretty much single handedly impossible to get 3 rows of buffs unless:
    1) 3 stars war (3)
    2) Castle offense, defence, attack, heal (4)
    3) pot, scroll, food, castle pot(s) (4-5)

Can't have 3 rows without the above, and no class can single handedly get 2 rows without them either as far as I recall, except momentarily (seeker, maybe im forgetting someone here)
