Our annual Best Costume 2025 contest has begun, and this is your chance to bring your dream costume to life! Let your imagination run wild and compete for the grand prize – your design added to the game!
 
How to Participate?

1. Create your costume design in any format – draw it on paper, sketch it in a notebook, or use digital tools like Paint, Photoshop, or any other editor.

2. Head to THIS section and create a new topic with your entry. Make sure your topic title includes your character's nickname, realm, and costume name.

Contest Guidelines:

• Your costume must be pixel art.
• A front view is required; other angles are optional but encouraged.
• Make sure your entry follows the Forum rules and the game's Rules of Conduct. This means no offensive, adult, inappropriate, or otherwise prohibited content.
• No modifications to existing in-game costumes (e.g., recoloring, adding or altering elements).
• No direct copies of costumes from movies, games, or other media.
• No using other people's artwork from the Internet or other participants.

And remember – it's only one entry per participant!

To ensure a smooth transition of your costume into the game, we've updated the requirements for digital submissions. Following these guidelines will minimize the need for adjustments during integration.

Please note: We reserve the right to modify your design if necessary due to technical limitations of the game engine or graphic editor.

• Use the provided template for your design. Do not resize or alter it, as this may prevent your costume from being properly transferred into the game.
• Keep all costume elements (helmet/mask, jacket, shoulder pads, arms, legs) within their designated template areas. These areas correspond to the transparent space around the mannequin's body.
• Avoid excessive bulk. Costumes that completely fill the available space can appear oversized or cluttered. For example, a shoulder pad that extends all the way to the far right pixel may overlap with the character's face in-game.
• Stick to an even number of pixels for both width and height.
• A front view is required for submission. Other angles are optional, but if your design is selected, our artists will complete the remaining perspectives based on the artwork.
• Asymmetrical designs will appear mirrored in the game due to engine limitations.
• Limit your color palette to a maximum of 256 colors.

For traditional (hand-drawn) submissions, feel free to use a mannequin template as a reference.

To ensure the best possible fit, align the elements of your costume with the boundaries of the template so that everything scales correctly within the game.

What Are We Looking For?

• Level of Detail. Even with the limitations of pixel art, a well-designed costume can showcase impressive intricacy. Modern digital tools make it possible to add fine detail, so take advantage of them! Submitting additional angles beyond just the front view will give your design an extra edge.
• In-Game Adaptability. While Arinar is filled with diverse characters, not every design will fit seamlessly into the game world. Keep in mind the aesthetic of the game when creating your costume.
• Originality. A standout costume isn't just well-designed – it should also be distinctive and visually appealing. Aim for something fresh and memorable rather than relying on overused themes.
• Costume Backstory. Although this is primarily an art contest, adding a brief description can bring your design to life. Share what materials it's made of, its special properties, or a bit of its lore!

One night after a rough party, Bol's creator had mysteriously disappeared.

Confused and scared Bol started looking all over the place for him but couldn't find a trace.

Over the years Bol's sadness turned into anger, and now it's mission of finding the creator has been long forgotten.

Every time Bol hears that a party is going to be held, it wonders there to ruin everyone else's fun.

First of all, so many beautiful submissions, i don't really want to post mine :D but the little guy kinda cute. So here goes, my biblically accurate astral intruder.

Hola compañeros aventureros, soy Munikio y juego desde el 2012, soy de Argentina y quiero llegar a hacer un pequeño aporte a la comunidad. Estoy usando un traductor para poder comunicar mis palabras, espero sea de su agrado lo que dibuje. Use Pixel Studio en mi Samsung Z Fold 4 y me fue muy cómodo hacer una idea que tenía hace mucho en mi cabeza. La idea de un traje que se pareciera a la Reina de las Mantis me pareció genial. Desconozco si ya hay otros trajes similares pero en este caso quise incorporarle una peculiaridad, es una mantis de flama. Le creé una pequeña historia de venganza hacia los jugadores que siempre matan a su madre, es hora de que todos ellos paguen por su pecado. Solo dibujé la parte frontal usando la imagen de muestra del concurso para dibujos a mano. También estaba en mis planes agregarle unas alas como los de una libélula en vez de una capa pero no me dio el tiempo, más aún sabiendo que hoy 28 termina el concurso. Espero aún tenga tiempo de poder poner mi dibujo. Muchas gracias por leer.

Historia del disfraz : En las tierras de Mará-kosh, donde las sombras se estiran largas y oscuras, acecha una cazadora de héroes. Su nombre es K'thara, hija de la reina de las mantis. Para cazar mejor, tomó la forma de un Humanoide con rasgos de mantis, confundiendo a los héroes incautos que no conocen a su raza. Sus garras afiladas, incandescentes como brasas, se clavan en aquellos que no se cuidan las espaldas. K'thara se mueve con la agilidad de una mantis, sus ojos brillan con una luz roja, y su cuerpo está envuelto en llamas. En las noches oscuras, ella es la sombra que se acerca, la amenaza que acecha en la oscuridad, la muerte que llega sin aviso.

Hello fellow adventurers, I'm Munikio and I've been playing since 2012. I'm from Argentina and I want to make a small contribution to the community. I'm using a translator to communicate my words, I hope you like what I drew. I used Pixel Studio on my Samsung Z Fold 4 and it was very comfortable to make an idea that I've had in my head for a long time, the idea of a costume that looked like the Mantis Queen seemed great, I don't know if there are already other similar costumes but in this case I wanted to incorporate a peculiarity, it's a flame mantis, I created a small revenge story towards the players who always kill their mother, it's time for all of them to pay for their sin. I only drew the front part using the sample image from the hand-drawn drawing contest. I was also planning to add some wings like those of a dragonfly instead of a cape but I didn't have time, especially knowing that the contest ends today 28, I hope I still have time to put my drawing. Costume Backstory : In the lands of Mará-kosh, where shadows stretch long and dark, lurks a hunter of heroes. Her name is K'thara, daughter of the mantis queen. To hunt better, she took the form of a Humanoid with mantis features, confusing unsuspecting heroes who do not know her race. Her sharp claws, incandescent like embers, pierce those who do not watch their backs. K'thara moves with the agility of a mantis, her eyes glow with a red light, and her body is engulfed in flames. On dark nights, she is the approaching shadow, the threat lurking in the darkness, the death that arrives unannounced.

After the war, a group of necromancers found his body barely recognizable as a human. They revived him to be one of their skeleton armies but something unexpected happened. He revived as a cart-bull-human hybrid. His eyes glowed yellow which he eventually had to cover with black eye-cover.

He took a chain he used to control his bull and wrapped it around his body as a reminder who he once was. He wandered Arinar for eternity vowing to protect the weaks from the brutality of war.

Outside of time he waits, but what exactly?

In the silence he listens, but what exactly?

In the void he searches, but what exactly?

The answer is within you, but you are not prepared to face it.

There was a charmer who always failed to summon a gloom monster because the amount of energy and focus he used always too great to summon the new gloom monster.

He could feel he was summoning something but his power wasn't enough to actually summon it. He kept trying until he succeeded. But to his surprise, instead, he summoned an armor that looks like a dragonfly. This armor grants him ability to fly and teleport.

This is an open hemet costume with only glasses because , you know , dragonfly 

Trick is a super famous bard in Arinar. He can quickly master new skills, almost instantly. Today he wants to impress his soulmate, Priestina (not based on any player's name, it's just a low hanging fruit), with a magic trick. She picks a card and Trick will show the card on his back. Pathetic but it is meant to be funny.

Priestina is a beginner priest who happens to have enough free time to hang out. But recently, she was promoted to an advanced priest who must explore Almahad as a potion carrier to learn from real battles.

She tells Trick her situation and says that if only there was a place for a bard (wink wink devs) in her journey, they could have been still hanging out together. She must leave because her family's honor depends on her success.

Trick is heartbroken. After a week of sad songs, Trick decides to go rogue (pun intended). He robs as many rich nobles he can find and buy weapons and armory. He is now determined to be with Priestina to protect her even if she doesn't notice. He follows her everywhere, assisting her from the shadows.

One day he has to give up his stealth to deal a final blow to a monster that almost harms Priestina. She is angry of what Trick is doing risking his life in her uncle's obviously stolen trouser. Trick doesn't immediately respond. Instead, he steps back, moves his body, and sings

"I.... just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand...

Never gonna give you up!

Never gonna let you down!

Never gonna run around and desert you!"

He stops and

"Oh anyway, is this your card?"

He turns around and shows his back completing his pathetic trick.

"NOOOOOO! It was four of clubs!"

She cries and hugs him.

They continue their journey together with Trick staying in stealth and watch Priestina as they grow stronger together.

     In the dense and green eucalyptus forest, there lived a koala detective named Koaly. Koaly was known as the best detective in the forest, with an exceptional ability to smell and analyze scents.

     One day, a kookaburra bird named Kiki came to Koaly's detective office, looking very anxious. "Koaly, please help! My food is missing! I stored it in my nest, but now it's gone!"

     Koaly listened carefully to Kiki's story and began the investigation. He visited Kiki's nest, sniffing and analyzing the scents around the area.

     After several hours of investigation, Koaly found a strange scent trail. The scent was not like any other animal's scent in the forest, but more like... honey!

     Koaly immediately thought of a possible suspect. He remembered that a bee named Buzz lived near Kiki's nest. Koaly decided to visit Buzz's hive.

     When Koaly arrived at Buzz's hive, he found Kiki's missing food! Buzz was shocked and admitted that he had stolen Kiki's food to make honey with the forest's ingredients.

     Koaly asked Buzz to return Kiki's food and promised not to steal again. Buzz agreed and returned the food.

     Kiki was overjoyed when Koaly returned her food. "Thank you, Koaly! You're the best detective in the forest!"

Koaly smiled and said, "I'm just doing my job, Kiki. But I'm glad I could help you."

     And so, the case of the missing food in the eucalyptus forest was solved by the koala detective, Koaly.

Once a devoted scout of the Sentinels, the Shadowfang Ranger belonged to an elite reconnaissance unit responsible for safeguarding the mystical borders between Melvendil and the cursed lands of the Forsaken. Trained in the ancient ways of the Firstborn, they mastered the arts of stealth, tracking, and unraveling the hidden movements of the Legion.

Their cloak, woven from Moonshade Silk and enhanced with rare Emerald Weave, allows them to blend seamlessly into the deep forests of Ayvondil, unseen by all but the most attuned beings. The golden insignia, once a proud emblem of their Silver Guard heritage, now remains as a relic of a shattered past. Betrayed during a covert mission, abandoned by their kin, the ranger faded into obscurity, choosing solitude over servitude.

Now, the Shadowfang Ranger walks the unseen paths, an enigma in the ever-shifting conflicts of Arinar. Neither bound by the Sentinels nor loyal to the Legion, they follow the whispers of fate, restoring balance where it falters. Some claim they are a guardian spirit of the wild, watching over the forgotten trails and lost relics of an ancient war. Others fear their presence, believing them to be an omen of impending change.

The wars of Arinar endure, yet the Shadowfang Ranger remains untethered—an echo in the wind, a fleeting shadow under the moon’s gaze. To the Sentinels, he is a deserter. To the Legion, an unpredictable force. To the wanderers of Arinar, he is legend.

In a small village called Porksville, there lived a little pig named Piggy Woggy. Unlike the other pigs who loved to laze around and play in the mud, Piggy Woggy dreamed of becoming a true hero.

One day, the village was terrorized by the Black Wolf, a giant wolf that thrived on chaos. He stole the village's food supplies and threatened to return unless the pigs surrendered their farmland.

"If we don't act, we'll starve!" Piggy Woggy declared bravely.

But the other pigs trembled in fear. No one was courageous enough to stand against the Black Wolf. So, Piggy Woggy decided to embark on a dangerous journey alone to stop the menace.

The Perilous Journey

With a wooden shield and a small homemade sword, Piggy Woggy ventured into the Dark Forest, where the Black Wolf was hiding. He faced many obstacles: broken bridges, a raging river, and caves filled with giant bats. But with his wit and courage, he overcame them all.

Deep in the forest, Piggy Woggy met a Wise Owl, who revealed the Black Wolf’s weakness—he was terrified of light! With a brilliant idea, Piggy Woggy collected glowing crystals from the Cave of Light and crafted a special weapon.

The Epic Battle

When Piggy Woggy arrived at the Black Wolf’s lair, the beast growled, "You think a tiny pig can defeat me?"

But Piggy Woggy stood his ground. He raised the glowing crystal and hurled it toward the wolf. A blinding light filled the cave. The Black Wolf howled in fear and fled into the mountains, never to return.

The Hero of Porksville

Piggy Woggy returned to his village as a hero! The pigs cheered and threw a grand feast in his honor. No longer was he considered strange—he was the pride of Porksville.

From that day on, Piggy Woggy was remembered as the brave pig who conquered fear and became a legend.

Built with a plasma energy core and reinforced with nano-bionic armor, its body combines the legendary strength of a dragon with the resilience of a war machine. The neon wings that adorn its back are not only for flight but can also unleash high-frequency energy waves capable of penetrating any defense. Its long tail, which serves as both balance and weapon, houses an electric generator capable of paralyzing enemies with a single blow.

However, beneath its formidable exterior, the Cygonoid possesses consciousness and emotions. It is not bound by mere orders, but has the freedom to think and feel. Designed to protect the weak, it roams the shattered world, seeking answers to its origins and destiny. Is it merely a tool of war? Or could it be the beginning of a new civilization, bridging the gap between man and machine?
