Same old daily story

Recommended Posts

Might be that hearing adventures of this man seems mainstream, unimaginative and boring, as we, or most of us here do see him every day. He is our cc bread, the opposite fraction player killing quest is only the butter. Mostly we like him alot, except when he asks us to do Berengars treatise.  So here we go.

Gwido woke up this morning with a long yawn. The air outside was filled with the mating songs of griffins, moans of ghosts, mountain wind in the leaves of nearby trees, sound of Berengar guards being slayed and O2,N2,CO2 and some other gases noone cares about here, at least as long as new technology for sending online all kinds of nasty and nice odors, scents and smells hasn't been introduced. Anyways.

He was an old man with extremely good health.  Some of the not-at-peace souls here in ghost village were younger than this old chap. Tho his mind was sometimes focused,  sometimes at a weird mood, that made him either try to walk through walls like his neighbors ghosts  or seek chat with whomever he encountered in his little world - with heroes, ghosts, thieves or ghost-surviving postmen.  But he was the keeper of what some might call wealth, some – curse. I mean, the keeper of our often searched relics, made in Berengars times and gathered, cherished and kept generation after generation…

Noone else would take the job anyways.

After the yawn, Gwido let his look slide over his little apartment. What he did see made him jump up and out from the bed like disturbers at pvp cave. With a blur in his mind from the sudden movement, he noticed an empty potion bottle on the floor that did not look any of the ones heroes, no matter if smashing each other to death or just regaining some blood before going out, might use here.

Our old loner picked it up and his lips made a horizontal line slightly bent downwards in the ends from worries, I’m just telling this because it is hard to notice in his majestic facial hair.

The label had a pirate and the text „Magickally masked pothion of diipsliip”, obviously not marked with appropriate silverish potion sticker, must be from black market, thought our old man and suddenly had a really bad hunch (Hunch of Sudden Bad)  about this. He rushed to his secret relic-keepers places. You know, like, in bed under pillow, secret moving floor piece, cupboard extra-hidden shelf. Yes. Of course, one of them is empty, a brownish drinking cup of superb power is missing again.

Like a necros stun, it came to him, He had a nice and naive looking visitor yesterday that swore being a friend of the hero, who helped with the relic. This same bottle he found said „wine” on its label yesterday, and was put on the table as a gesture of friendship. Of course, his habit of chatting, developed over the years spent living in isolation and loneliness, poured out like water through a crashing dam. Tongue couldn’t hold the secret and gabbled out the asked adventure related to relic to this friendly friend of a friend.  Like he didn’t know this village to robbers is like hassn near caravan to elfs.

Gwido cursed and swore to himself to use only his own stocked velvet beers. These darn robbers and stealers, always coming up with new tactic or reusing old ones to get his treasures, thought the only alive citizen of Ghost village. Now he again will need to give some crimson corundum from his salary to someone who will bring the extremely powerful and dangerous… thing…, that no one but thieves want, back. And of course only now it came to his mind that he could have used the spirits to scare away thieves…

There he stands now, letting out a loud call for help, for heroes to find his so cunningly stolen relic once again. That call we now can see as… a blue exclamation mark, so loved and cherished by us, relic hunters.

You know the rest.

P.S. Hopefully some robber will come up with new tactic this evening again. :drinks:
